i dont have service on my iPhone and i upgrade yesterday but i can't access to the springboard

The lock button on my iPhone5 has also started acting up. Extremely annoying. I have to get it replaced, but I've dropped my phone once and there is a scratch on the top left corner of the phone, so I'm not sure what the warranty says about this situation.

Avoid using an older or modified .ipsw file. Try moving the current .ipsw file (see Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations), or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw.

This error occurs when iTunes is unable to reach gs.apple.com in a timely fashion. Follow the steps below in Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com.

Unless your iPhone is officially unlocked by the carrier the iPhone is locked to, you cannot activated it with a different sim.

Apple warranty is for the hardware. It has nothing to do with the ATT calling plan. You'd need to ask ATT if you can use gophone prepaid cards for the iPhone.

The iphone is subsidized, which is why it is only $199/$299. AT&T takes a loss on the sale of the iphone in exchange for making the money back on a two year contract.
There has been talk that they will sell it without contract in the future for $599/$699.

If the device is unlocked, all it requires is a SIM card to activate.
I would caution that buying an iPhone in a country other than the one where you intend to use it can cause issues.
iPhone warranty and support are only valid in the country where the device was officially sold by Apple or their Authorized Reseller. The only exception being the EU where all countries in the EU are considered one country for warranty purposes.

hi buddy, thnks for coming out to help me. so here we go.
im using a vodafone connection and i made a dupilcate of that connection and made a nanao sim the will suit in iphone.
after inserting its showing "To activate iphone"
and below that 2 buttons are given as
Try using Wi-Fi
Try again over cellular
and i dont have a wifi connection.
but i have 2g connection in my number.
on the top of iphone there is an "E" beside the range bars. obvioulsy might be Edge.
When im selecting Try again over cellular then its showing could not activate.:(

What happens when you try? If there is an error message, what is the
exact complete wording of the error message? If it is asking for an AppleID
that you do not know, you have run into Activation Lock. You need the
person who initiated the Activation Lock to release it. If you just bought
this iPhone, return it for a refund. There is no workaround for Activation Lock.
