Can I add a hyperlink to a stamp in acrobat pro ?

I'm working with blueprints in pdf format and I have created stamps to place on the drawings. I want to add a hyperlink to these stamps to link to another file or document. I can do this by "overlaying" the hyperlink feature. But I really want to be able to save the stamp with the hyperlink intact so I can reuse without having to go through the additional steps. Is this possible?

An alternative to consider.
Typically, a Stamp incorporates an image.
Consider using a Button.
A Button can show text, an image, or both.
A Button can be given an Action.
The choices for the Action are many.
The Action could be to go to another PDF, go to a named destination in another PDF, some specific view at some designated part of another PDF, or it could be to execute an Acrobat JavaScript.
This alternative approach permits your use of specific images and actions.
A "template" PDF could hold the inventory of Buttons.
Have it opened while working on another PDF file. Use copy-paste to select and insert the Button; then, position it.
Yes, adds time to the work flow.
However, it provides the ability to let a user "link" to a different PDF.
It becomes a question of the relative value of providing the "link" for all future users.
As George points out; a Stamp provides no "interactivity" so its use precludes providing "added value".

Not in iMovie. You could finish your movie in iMovie (all but this).
Then, you can add the link in QuickTime Pro version 7.
First you need to install QuickTime Player Version 7 if you don't have it. QT7 and QT X can coexist on your Mac. Then buy the license key from Apple to convert it to QuickTime Pro.

RED footage has a restriction on metadata. We are looking into what it would take to get full metadata support into our system, but you cannot tag red footage at this time.

Dynamic stamps with Acrobat Pro X

Help needed!
How to create own dynamic stamps with Acrobat Pro X, without any knowledge of programming.
It was very easy with the program used before (Nuance); unfortunally it's not possible to export from Nuance to Acrobat.

Why does working with Stamps cause Acrobat Pro XI to crash on close

Although other people in my organization have been experiencing crashes several times a day with Acrobat Pro XI (usually from stamping PDFs and closing Acrobat), I've just started receiving crashes after working on custom Stamps. This hasn't happened before to me. What is so special about the stamps that might be causing these crashes?
Our users using Acrobat for scanning receive the crash message "Adobe Acrobat has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi George - a few divisions have stamps with JavaScript to query user to enter a date and time document was stamped. Most of the users do not. Just a set of static signature and File stamps. The File stamps have fields that contain custom calculation scripts to always display the current date and time of stamping. This was never a problem in Acrobat 9 Pro, though. Some crashes have occured just scanning through Acrobat without touching the stamps. Thanks for the quick reply and would appreciate if you have any more I can look into.

I can't install the update 9.5.2 for Acrobat Pro for Mac.

I am using Mac OS 10.7.4. I currently have Acrobat Pro 9.5.1 on my system. I've been able to download the 9.5.2 upgrade successfully via the "'check for updates" link in the application and from also from the Adobe website.
The installer cannot install the update. The process begins but then I get a message that components have been disabled. The message refers me to Acrobat website for help to reingage components. Unfortunately, I was not able to find any such help through their not so user friendly website.
The alternative suggestion from the message was to uninstall the application, then reinstall it. I tried using the uninstaller that was in my Acrobat Pro folder, but when I opened the uninstaller, I got a message saying the installer was not for this application.
I have an installation disk to reinstall the program and I have no problem manually uninstalling the Acrobat Pro from the system, but I don't know what needs to be removed from where.
Anyone have any suggestions on what to try next?
I'm beginning to feel like this upgrade is just a gimmick to encourage people to upgrade to Acrobat Pro X.

I was getting the same error: "Insufficient data for image" and the document wouldn't open. But Foxit and Chrome read the files directly, with no problems.
On a Mac, the 9.5.2 upgrade works fine under Acrobat Pro 9!!
Do any of you run Kaspersky antivirus? When I ran the root kit scanner - is doesn't like some of the Adobe System files and will quarantine them – this only happened in July: This is when it quarantined some files that were authored by Adobe. This is when the updates to Adobe seemed to have stopped working properly?
I submitted the “quarantined” files to Kaspersky and they came back and said that the Adobe files allowed “trojan” like backdoor access to my PC - To get adobe working again I allowed them back into my system and took them out of Quarantine. The 9.5.2 update worked fine after this.
I thought it was a fault with Kaspersky 2011 until I updated to 2013 (last week) and the Root Kit scanner completely removed the registration for Adobe Acro 9....No opportunity to deactivate...program wouldn’t run with error messages about the registration of Acrobat Pro 9. I reinstalled the programme; it will run but cannot be upgraded from the DVD rom version
Now I’m struggling to get my Adobe product serial number reactivated. The Indian call centre tell me the retail serial number is invalid and not an Adobe serial at all, then I get told about 30 mins later in the same call the serial number is actually registered to someone else - they're just oxygen thieves...
The botom line was, that unless you bought from Adobe online, and they can track your purchase, you're on your own for support...
Ironically, when I first installed Acrobat 9 Pro back in 2010, the software installed fine, activated and I got a nice Welcome email message from Adobe, free downloads too - not much use though - perhaps this is one of those keep the product sales up schemes...you've had your two years time to buy an upgrade!.
I think these issues are linked up with the extreme piracy control that Adobe have implemented in their products - it's gone too far...

I upgraded from Adobe CS5.5 Design Premium to CS6 Design and Web Premium. After the upgrade Adobe Acrobat Pro X stopped working. I downloaded and installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI but only get a trial version and my CS6 Design and Web Premium Serial Number does not work.

Can I add a Hyperlink to Launchpad?

I recently added a hyperlink from Safari to my desktop. Is there a way to move this to Launchpad? I tried dragging it over to Launchpad but it didn't work. I don't want to clutter my desktop which is why I want to put it in Launchpad and I don't want to access it from my Bookmark's everytime.

I know this is an old thread, but in case anyone else runs across this, you can add a bookmark to Launchpad by creating an Automator app that opens the url you want to visit and saving the app in your applications folder.

Cannot add stamp from Acrobat Pro XI

Certainly I'm not lost in space here, but when I attempt to insert a stamp, the stamp does not appear. The tool is there, the different stamps are all there, but when I select any one of them, I can define the area, but NO STAMP. I cannot insert sticky notes either... that might help (even though it appears I should)

Acrobat hasn't had native support for fax hardware since the world was young and computers had wheels ( http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/pressroom/pressmaterials/pdfs/acrmessenger/acrmdatasheet.p df - I do love the press office's Basement of Lost Products ).
On Windows there's a native "Fax and Scan" driver which behaves as a virtual printer and it's installed even if there's no fax hardware available - so there will be "Fax" as one of the options on your printer selection menu but unless you tell it where the hardware is it won't do anything. OS X has "Fax Utility" that behaves the same way. They are nothing to do with Adobe or Acrobat, which simply sees a B+W printer.
One thing to note - if the PDF file is secured, it may be that Acrobat is respecting a limitation on "printing" whereas Nuance is ignoring it.

There was no problem to add comments/notes to existing PDFs up until now:
While writing a note/comment using the Free Text Tool it looks as if it is alright but when clicking out of it or choosing another tool then the text color goes grey/fades out. Both the fill and stroke color do not apply any more.
Acrobat version 5.0
What could be the cause of the problem?

What is the version of the PDF. With AA5, that may be the issue with a version that is 5 back of the current version. Many of the newer versions you may be able to read, but will not be allowed to comment on. This is a version issue. See if you can do a comment on a current PDF version from your own AA5. My guess the answer is yes.
