Can i add a second Apple ID to my iPad (to be able to charge purchases to a different account)?

My wife has an iPad. I have a MacBook Air. We both have our own individual Apple ID. Can I add my Apple ID to her iPad (to be able to charge purchases to my account)?

It can only have one Apple ID signed onto it at a time in the iTunes & App Stores.
Your best bet is to make the purchases via the MacBook Air, then sync the iPad via iTunes. My husband and I share an iTunes library (but both have our own Apple IDs), and we share music purchased by both of us using the sync process.
Downloading via automatic downloads or by downloading past purchases can create problems because the device becomes associated with the Apple ID that is used to do any of those actions, and it cannot be associated with a different Apple ID for 90 days. So, that can get kind of crazy:
Manage your associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support
But syncing via a shared library is just syncing, and does not create the "associated device" issue.
Cheers,

  • Can I Add a Second Apple ID to Share Calendars?

My boss and I each have an iphone and Microsoft Surface Pro tablets.
I downloaded the iCloud Control Panel to sync my iPhone and Outlook calendars on my Surface Pro.
Is there a way I can add my boss so that I can have access to his calendar in my Outlook on my Surface?
I am able to see his calendar on my phone but I want to be able to access and edit his calendar from all 4 devices.

  • How can I add A second Apple Super Drive to my Mac?

My Imac won't see the second super drive fitted. Can this be done?

Is it check in the box that says CDs, DVDs, iPhods? If the box is checked and it still can't be seen do a SMC reset.
    SMC RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
    Wait 15 seconds.
    Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
    PRAM RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • Can I add a second ATI 4870 to my 2009 Mac Pro?

    1. Can I add a second ATI 4870 to my 2009 Mac Pro? Sorry if posted already, I searched and Googled and could not find it.
    2. What is the general consensus on the EVGA GTX285? Will this out perform the 4870?
I read somewhere that the ATI needs additional power from the power supply and the GTX does not? Is this true? If this is the case are there extra power supply connectors for an additional 4870 (hence my first question).
The GTX has dual DVI out connector and this is my preferred solution to get 2 x 30" Cinema Displays.
    Thanks in advance,
    MIke

No. Each ATI 4870 needs two auxiliary power connectors. There are only two in the Mac Pro.

No. Both use two per card.

    No.

You can use an adapter to connect a second 30" to the Mini DisplayPort
    <http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB571Z/A?fnode=MTY1NDA5OQ&mco=MjkyNjI0Mg>
(The latest adapters have new firmware, and shouldn't have problems.)
If you only need two displays, stick with one graphics card.

  • Can I add a second activity indicator? (Or more)

I have Firefox 4.0.1 Just wanted to know if it's possible to add a second activity indicator or more.

You can't add a second AGP card (there is only one AGP slot on the motherboard). You could add a PCI graphics card, but you will get much better performance by replacing your current AGP card with one that supports two monitors. There are various options depending on whether you have a display using ADC, how much performance you want, and price.
If you need ADC and don't want to buy a DVI to ADC adapter, you can look for a used Macintosh NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX Twinview or NVIDIA GeForce 4 Titanium. These don't support Core Video, so will not be able to take advantage of some features and speed improvements in Tiger.
If you don't need ADC, or get a DVI to ADC adapter, you can get much better performance. The best (but expensive) is the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro Mac Edition 256MB. It has a DVI and a VGA port.
A lot cheaper, and a bit slower, is the ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Power Mac G5 edition, modified to work in a G4 Quicksilver. See:
    <http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Apple/630ATI96G4/>
With this card you will need an ADC to VGA adapter to run your second monitor. The other port is DVI.
Beware of the ATI Radeon 9600 Pro PC & Mac Edition 256MB card. It will not work in some Quicksilver modes.

  • Can I add a second Airport Express?

I have an Extreme Base Station connected to my Time Warner Cable Modem. It comes into my house in my office, which is over my garage, a separate structure in my backyard. The iMacs there are connected via Ethernet to the Apple Base Station. In my house, maybe 30 feet away, where I use two Macbook Pro's, iPhone 6, iPad 3 etc, all via Wireless, I have an Airport Express as an extender to amplify the signal because my house with it's lathe walls is a great shield. This works OK up to a point. The further away I get from the Airport Express, the fainter the signal gets.
Naturally, the farthest room away is my family room with a Smart TV, Apple TV, A/V receiver, DirecTV Cinema box, Playstation3 etc. I just added an Amazon FireStick TV via HDMI. It found my wireless network perfectly and joined. Problem is, it's buffering like crazy when I try to watch a movie and reporting "bandwidth too low". So I have a problem. I need to boost the signal one more time.
Can I add a second Airport Express to my existing network as an extender, which now consists of a Extreme BaseStation and one Airport Express.
If not, does anyone have any ideas?
    Thank you.

Can I add a second Airport Express to my existing network as an extender, which now consists of a Extreme BaseStation and one Airport Express.
Sorry, but no. Even if it was possible, the speed loss would be amazing, and would really hurt, not help the current network performance.
Probably not the answer that you want to hear, but the only way to get the same signal strength and speed from your office to a location in the home is to run an Ethernet cable between the two locations.
There is no loss of signal or speed through an Ethernet cable up to 330 feet, or 100 meters. Good old Ethernet cable. Nothing comes close to a wire in terms of performance.
I faced a similar problem, and while the initial outlay to the electrician was significant, it has been the best investment that I ever made in terms of improving network performance....far better than the "improvement" with any new product, or any new router or any new technology that might have been available.
If you absolutely cannot run the Ethernet cable, then a pair of Ethernet Over Powerline (EOP) adapters might be able to send the Ethernet signal over the existing power lines in your office and home.
The theory with EOP products is that you already have the wiring in place.....you just need the adapters. Unfortunately, things do not always work as well in practice as the theory might suggest.......having the signal hop several different circuits would be one major challenge.....whether the office and home are on the same master circuit would be a question as well.
Given your situation, I would not even consider trying EOP adapters unless the store agreed to take them back within 7-14 days if they don't work well for you.

  • Can I add a second graphics card?

I have an older G$ Quicksilver with a 32MB Geforce2 MX display card. I want to add a second vga monitor in pan mode to display one program while the other monitor displays another program. Can I add a second GeForce2 MX 32MB AGP card to accomplish this? Or do I need a more powerful card to replace the one I have?

can I add a second screen to my 09 iMac?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Of course. Just get a monitor and the Mini DisplayPort adapter you need to connect the Mac to the monitor. I recommend you to use HDMI if the monitor uses it. Also, you can connect it to a TV. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4241

  • My sons have shared an iPad but had just one iTunes account. How can we add a second iTunes account?

My sons have shared an iPad but had just one iTunes account. How can we add a second iTunes account?

There is no reason to add a second iTunes account to the iPad unless your sons want to use their own credit cards for purchases and somehow I don't think is the case here.
Anyway.... Settings>Store>Apple ID - tap that ID and sign out. Then tap sign in and tap Create new Apple ID.
If your sons sync with one iTunes library on a computer, it can get a little confusing with two IDs. If either of them has their own iPod and they have been sharing purchased content with the one Apple ID, it gets a little more complicated as well with two IDs.

You could put your install disc on a USB Flash drive with Disk Utility. Also, here is the USB optical drive enclosure I bought. He raised the price a few bucks. Mine ran $10.00 with the shipping.

    Hi,
For many 17" (or 17.3") machines such as Envy 17, dv,  Pavilion 17 .... you can add a second HDD (my old loan dv7 has two HDD's and my current loan Envy 17 also has 2 HDD's). You would need the following kit:

  • Podcast Problem - how can i add artwork to apple blog rss link

Then i take rss link from safari and i subscribe to itunes but when itunes check my link, there isnt artwork and i cant change the rss link code cause of the link generated automaticly from java. What can i do for this problem or how can i add artwork to apple blog servers rss link ?
    Thank you

    Bonjour,
The rules are simple: one entry = one page
if an article needs several pages, start this article on blog entry then continue with a page made with welcome page template or blank page template.
you can change the link of the buttons "next" and "previous" to visit the pages you choose.
(select the link > inspector > Link > hyperlink > check enable as a hyperlink > choose "one of my pages" ).
Don't include these other pages in navigation menu.
(inspector > Page > Page > uncheck "include page in navigation menu").

  • HT4352 how can I add an additional apple tv to my computer

How can I add an aditional apple tv to my computer and my remote on my phone?

Hello bardlight. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
Based on your configuration description, the Logitech TV is physically connected properly to the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn). You do want it connected to one of the available LAN ports on the AEBSn.
By default, the AEBSn, is performing as a DHCP server. Also, by default, most computing devices are configured as DHCP clients. What this means is that the AEBSn should be providing the proper IP addresses to any connected (wired or wireless) in order for that device to access both the network and on to the Internet.
It sounds like that Logitech TV is just not configured properly as a DHCP client.

Apps can't be added to the Apple TV. You can only apps to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, not Apple TV
