Can i add graphic card?

Hello guys,
I have ProBook 6570b with i5 processor. Everything is good enough for me except Intel HD 400. Laptop have only that graph. card. I heard from some people that i can add one more graph. card, e.g. AMD Radeon 1 GB DDR5. So ... my question is: Can I on this laptop add one more card? Is he have one more slot?

Accourding to page 3 it supports switchable graphics so you should be able to install it.Radeon™ HD 7570M should work

There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate. You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

Have you checked that your PC meets the minimum system requirements here:

Older graphics cards will often not support some of the newer technologies, even if if they have the latest drivers. Is this your issue?
Also, You may need to install DirectX 9.0c runtime components if you are running Windows 7. This will add some components necessary for programs that use older versions of DirectX, which includes Windows Live 2011 Photo Gallery and Movie Maker.

I have an advanced dock that I use together with my T60p. How can I open the dock and add a graphics card? There does not seem to be an easy way of opening it?

Your PC only has a 250 watt power supply (PSU) so adding a decent video card is not going to work.
The video card that you reference is a decent video card but it's marked out of stock. Here are some more Radeon 6770s.
Review the ATI and NVIDIA performance specifications. Look at the memory bandwidth specifications and the DirectX level support.

If you upgrade the PSU to 600 watts then you will have plenty of power are more choices. The Corsair CX600 would be a good choice.

Hi:
Unfortunately in most of today's notebooks (including yours), the graphics cannot be upgraded.
I looked at the service manual for your notebook, and there aren't even any other motherboards with better graphics available.
You can try the latest drivers from AMD to see if that helps, any but you can't do anything with the hardware.

Hi:
Graphics adapters cannot be upgraded simply.
You would need to replace the motherboard with one that would have better graphics (if one exists for your model).
This would cost as much as buying a new notebook, so it is probably not a good idea to undertake such an endeavor.

New Catalyst - can't switch graphic card

I recently updated Catalyst control center to the version 14.11.2 Beta to solve crashing problem with Dragon Age 3. However, since then I cannot manually switch between graphic cards, the option simply dissappeared in this version. Am I missing anything or the option is really no longer there?

VMFusion can't recognize graphic card in XP

Hi Folks,
After reinstalling XP on my boot camp partition, VMFusion has problem recognizing the graphic card on my iMac. Instead of showing "Radeon HD 2400", it only sees "Video controller" under other devices (with a question mark). And because of that, I can't sleep/hibernate XP under VMFusion anymore, and also I can't drag and copy files between VMFusion and OSX as before. The graphic display in VMFusion seems very lagging.
Funny thing is that, if restart in boot camp (run XP natively), everything is fine. So I guess there is some compatibility issue with VMFusion.
Any ideas how to resolve this? I am on 10.5.3 by the way.

This will probably be better posted in the VMWare forums. As a quick fix however, install the VMWare Tools. This should install the drivers it needs to pickup things as the soundcard, videocard, etc.
