Can I add internal storage to a mac mini?

I am out of space and have plenty of external storage,   I just think that it works better with internal storage.

You can add a larger hard drive to your mini. Assuming it's an Intel-based mini, you can add a serial ATA hard drive up to 1GB, maybe more. I like, and use, Western Digital Scorpio Black drives, which come with a 5 year warranty (versus 1-3 years for others).  You can see some serial ATA choices here.

  • Add external storage to increase mac mini capacity help!

We have a Mac mini mountain lion server with 1 Tb storage. We have 12 macs file sharing off the mini. We have maxed the 500 gb storage. We have purchased a 4 tb storage to extend the drive so we can keep adding to the files. It is a mini stack with FireWire. How do I install this so the additional 4 tb can be added to the existing Mac mini server? Please help thanks.

Realistically you cannot just join it to the internal drive to make one bigger one. (There is a way but it is a bad idea.)
What you can do is move the shared files to the external drive, or have some on the internal, and the rest on the external. I would recommend just using the external. You would then use the internal drive for booting, and the external drive for data.
Are you just referring to file-sharing or other uses?
For file-sharing it would basically be copy the existing folder(s) to the external drive, unshare the internal drive folders, and share the drive or folder(s) on the external drive.

  • Can you add internal storage to a mackbook air (2010) edition?

can the flash be replaced / expanded for a larger one?

Apple doesn't provide that service but some 3rd party suppliers do, for example, macsales.com, but they are definitely not inexpensive.

  • What's the easiest way to add storage to a mac mini. (1TB hard drive but only 32G of real storage). External device, internal or partitioning?

What's the easiest way to add storage to a mac mini. (1TB hard drive but only 32G of real storage). External device, internal or is there some way to partition? I tried doing so but received a message that there wasn't enough free space to partition. Seems like a 1TB drive should have more storage than my Ipad

Its worth confirming what free space you have on your drive:
go to:   Apple Menu > About this Mac >  More Info > Storage
The bar chart shows how much free space there is on the drive:
Please realise that partitioning does not create extra space so this wont help you.
If your free space is less than 20 % you should get extra storage with an external USB or Firewire drive, any make or model will work.

I saved photos from my Macbook Pro onto my Iphone (using itunes, 4 years ago). My macbook is now dead and I need to get the photos I saved off of my iphone 3GS transferred to a pc.  Any help...  From my PC I can only access "internal storage"

The iphone is not a storage/backup device.  The picture sycn is one way - computer to iphone.  The photos are also reduced in size when synced to iphone so they are not of the original quality
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup of your computer.
Have you failed to do this?
If so, not good at all, you can e-mail the pics to yourself - keep in mind they will never be of the original quality

  • Can I add more memory to my Mac OS X version 10.6.8

Can I add more memory to my Mac OS X Version 10.6.8
    Processor 2.66 GHz
    Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory 2 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM?

The 2 places I’ve seen recommended most to buy reliable RAM are below. I have purchased RAM several times from Other World Computing and have always been very satisfied with the product and service. They have on-line instructions on how to replace the RAM. OWC has also tested RAM above what Apple states is the maximum. I now have 6GB installed on a machine supposedly limited to 4 GB.

  • Am i able to add extra storage to my mac book pro?

    Hello
I was just wondering if anyone knew if i am able to add extra storage to my mac as its full all ready! I have tried looking on apple website but was getting a little confused!
Any help would be very much appreciated!
    Thank you in advance

If you have a retina you're going to have a hard time but one the retina and unibody it's possible with a unibody its relatively easy with a retina its hard. If you have unibody it's easier but if you want something simple and easy that takes no hardware skill I suggest a Nifty Mini Drive. Also you might state what kind of macbook pro you have the first MBP an rMBP or a unibody MBP http://minidrive.bynifty.com

  • Can I add more storage to my 4th generation 8gb Ipod touch?

How can I increase the storage of my 4th generation 8gb ipod touch?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
Unfortunately, you can't add more storage to an iPod touch after buying it. If you bought it less than 14 days ago, you can return it and buy a 32 GB iPod touch

  • Can i connect my iMac to a mac mini (wirelessly) and control the mac mini display on my TV?

Can i connect my iMac to a mac mini (wirelessly) and control the mac mini display on my TV?

Look up "screen sharing" in help
You can control your mini (which I am assuming you are hooking to your TV) complete from your iMac.
After you set up screen sharing, you can go to the finder, under the "go" menu choose "Connect to server" and then browse.  Choose your mac mini's name, and look for the "Screen Sharing" button.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Sharing.
    Select the Screen Sharing checkbox.
To specify who can share your screen, select one of the following:
    All users:
Select this if you want to allow any user with a user account on your computer to share your screen.
    Only these users:
Select this if you want to restrict screen sharing to specific users.Click Add at the bottom of the Users list and select a user from Users & Groups (accounts you have set up in Users & Groups preferences), Network Users (users on your network), or your Address Book. Or click New Person and enter a name and password to create a sharing account. Then select that user from the list, and then click Select.
Click Computer Settings and set the following options:
Anyone may request permission to control screen:
Select this to allow anyone on your network to request to share your screen.
VNC viewers may control screen with password:
Select this and enter a password that VNC viewer applications can enter in order to control your screen. It’s recommended that you not set a password if you only share this computer’s screen using the built-in screen sharing viewer in Mac OS X.

  • Is it possible to add a second monitor via mac mini with iMac

    Hi
is it possible to add a second monitor via mac mini with iMac
    or is there another solution?
all i want to know is if i can run a second monitor or link a mac mini for more speed like i heard you can with the G5 Towers.

The iMac will allow you to connect a second monitor but that monitor will show the same thing as the iMac's built-in screen.
You can network a Mac mini and iMac via Ethernet or Firewire.
Software load sharing like Xgrid can allow you to share work between the Macs.

  • Can I use backup from iMac on Mac mini?

My iMac just went into the Apple Store shop today for a new disk drive. I have a cloned backup of it from Super Duper, on an external drive. Is there any way I can boot from that drive on my Mac mini? Thanks.

As long as the version of Mac OS X on the backup drive is the same or newer than what came from the factory installed on the mini it should boot fine.

  • I used to sync my ipad on an asus laptop, now I have a Mac mini and want to sync with it. Can I? Can things be transferred from laptop to Mac mini?

I synced my ipad2 with an asus laptop. Now I have a Mac mini that I want to use for syncing and backup. But when I connected my ipad to the Mac mini it said something about the ipad being already synced to another computer and backup is permitted only one computer at a time. How can I transfer my backup to the Mac mini ? And delete my previous (I.e. asus laptop) iTunes backup system?

You don't have to delete anything from the Asus. You can copy your iTunes library from the laptop to the Mac. Read this for more information.

  • Can I seamlessly toggle Apple TV between Mac Mini and Iphone / iPad?

I am having a Mac Mini, iPad, iPhone and Apple TV. Currently i am using 2 HDMI cables 1 between TV and Mac Mini and 2nd between TV and Apple TV. Seems like If i toggle between iPad / iPhone display via apple TV and Mac Mini display via apple TV; it becomes an issue.
Can I seamlessly toggle Apple TV between Mac Mini and iPhone / iPad?
    Regards,
    Mahendra Panchal.

    Seems like If i toggle between iPad / iPhone display via apple TV and Mac Mini display via apple TV;
Toggle how?  What are you doing?  Why do you have the MacMini connected to the TV?  That is the whole point of AppleTV.  It is a simple way ( in therory ) to get your content to your TV without having to plug your computer in to your TV.
    it becomes an issue.
What does?  What is the issue?  What specifically fails or does not work?
