Can I adjust printer to allow thicker paper?

I have an HP Officejet 4215 All-In-One printer.
I bought the Barbie Designable Hair Extensions doll for Xmas and the sheets of hair keep getting caught when trying to print. They don't cause a "jam", but the printer stops pulling it thru and says it's "out of paper".
Can I adjust this printer to allow this slightly thicker paper thru?

Hi,
Nearly all printers only support a number of paper types (in weight). Thicker or thinner (actually heavier or lighter) than supported papers the printer simply won't load. Please check the thickness of your paper.
Regards.

  • Can I adjust print settings when I use AirPrint?

    Hi
I have a MFC-J430W Brother printer set up for Airprint.
When I use Airprint on my ipads or iphones it always comes out in color.
Is there a way to adjust my print settings when using my mobile devices?
I wasn't sure where to place this question.  Since the printer is connected to my iMac I am parking it here.
Brother support is underwhelming.  But I've noticed the same limitation with other brand Airprint printers.
    Thanks

Printing from an iOS device does not give you controls for the print, all you can do is send something to the AirPrint printer.  AirPrint is a pretty fundamental level print system.

  • Can't adjust print size when printing from the internet on HP F4440 printer.

When printing articles from the Internet the print is too small and I cannot adjust the size. How do I work around this?? I don't want to have to Cut & Paste to Word all the time.
I have already loaded updated Drivers - No Help..
I thought there was an option to adjust the size of the print prior to the document being printed, but I can't access that function now???

How can one adjust "print" to fit inside their boxes?
How can one get lines to print out when you have modified a form?

The standard error stream, System.err, can be set programmatically through java code by calling System.setErr. This is useful since on win9x it's impossible to redirect sdterr with "2>" for some reason or another...

  • DeskJet 4480 - I cannot print label paper. How can I adjust for paper thickness?

Using an HP DeskJet 4480, I cannot print on Avery label paper. It is too thick and the printer doesn't seem to want to pull the paper through. Is there a paper thickness adjustment somewhere on the printer?

    Hi,
I don't think due to paper weight (thickness) but papers are too slippery to pull. You know what I mean.

  • Can you print thicker envelopes (ones for holiday cards have are a little thicker paper stock)?

Have an HP C7200 AllPurpose Printer >> Can't seem to print to envelopes that are a little thicker in stock, such as for Christmas cards.  I have the paper size set up correctly (5"x7"); but does not feed/print consistently  or sometimes jams.  I usually only put a few envelopes, maximum 5 at time.  Any advice?  Is there a place to specify thicker paper/envelope is being used?  Couldn't find on the printer menu, or in Word Printer setting options.

    Hi,
All printers (from any brand) can only support the thickness of paper (using weight) up to a limit. Using heavier paper than maximum supported weight on any printer, printer can not feed the paper or/and can jam the machine.
    Regards.

  • Print on thick paper cp1025 nw Color

Having problems printing on thick paper. How do I adjust the settings

    Hi @Lil2 ,
I see that you are experiencing issues printing on thick paper and would like to know how to set the printer drivers.
I would be happy to help you.
The paper supported to use with this printer is: 60 to 176 g/m² (plain paper); up to 220 g/m² (glossy paper).
This information was provided by the Data Sheet for the HP LASERJET PRO CP1020 COLOUR PRINTER SERIES.
What paper type and weight are you using?
What is the issue that you are having? (paper feed issue, smeared printing)
I have provided a screen shot, (different model) for where the drop down would be to check for the different printer options. Select the Finishing menu or yours might show Media and Quality, to select the Media-type from the list.
You can also save this setting as a Preset.
Select the print settings that you want to save for reuse.
In the Presets menu, click the Save As... option, and type a name for the preset.
    Click the OK button.
    Use printing presets:
On the File menu, click the Print option.
    Select the driver.
In the Presets menu, select the printing preset.
Here is also a document for Resolving Print Quality Issues.
If there is anything else I can help you with, just let me know.
    Have a nice day!
    Thank You.

  • How do I select a thick paper to print from Indesign?

How do I select a thick paper to print from Indesign? I have to go to the printer to select the thicker paper. I would like to select the paper from my computer in Indesign.  Other programs allow this.

At the bottom of the print dialog box is a button labeled Printer. That will lead you to the printer-specific options like paper weight.

  • Photoshop Elements 8: Adjusting Location of Image on Paper Before Printing

I recently graduated from Photoshop Elements Version 3 to Version 8. On the Print Preview screen (Version 3) you can adjust the location of  the image on the paper. First you un-select "Center Image". Then you either drag the image to its new location or enter in new Top and Left position coordinates.
I have not been able to figure out how to move the image on Version 8.

Well------way to go Adobe for "improving" a usefull tool right out of PSE. Now you have to jump through hoops to perform the same procedure that was simple  to perform in earlier versions. (ie. now you must simplify a multi layered object before copying to a blank template to then adjust the objects print position on the paper. Like I said-----way to go Adobe.
This also would seem to  make fine positioning of an object to print on label stock, for example, to be much more difficult.

Does anyone have a solution to this ??

    Hi,
Fisrt off all check if the paper tray is correctly on the unit, so take it of and replace it. Second go into printing preferances, select photo printing and find where you can select tha paper source, put it on phototray and try again.
