Can I back up two different computers in one Time Capsule?

I have two 15" MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo, a first generation and a more recent one linked to a 500G Time Capsule.
First question:
Can I back up the two computers in the TC in separate "partitions", as in separate units like storage #1 and storage #2, so that the data from each computer is only stored in that assigned location?
Second question
In case that should be doable, will it be also possible for each computer to access the data stored in either storage #1 or storage #2?

The best way to see the backups for a different Mac is via the Browse Other Time Machine Disks option, per #17 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.

It's just about that easy. I just got the Time Capsule. I backed up my MacBook Pro. Now I'd like to use the same Time Capsule to back up my wife's MacBook. Can this be done? If so, how? I keep getting the failed message from the Time Machine Backup.

No question that it can be done. I just got a new MacBook a couple of weeks ago and I am backing it up to our TC alongside my son who has been using it since last Sept. with his MacBook. There was no problem setting it up. I just clicked on TimeMachine in the Dock and it asked me where I wanted to back my files up to. The only choice was the existing Time Capsule. I clicked and away it went. I took the advice of others and connected my Mac directly to the TC for the initial backup instead of relying on the wireless. It only took a couple of hours.

What are you trying to accomplish with the AirPort Express devices?
Where will the Express devices be located in relation to the Time Capsule?
If you are planning to use the Express devices to "extend" the wireless range of your network, Ethernet LAN will always provide far better performance than trying to connect the Express devices using wireless only.
You have the option of connecting both AirPort Express devices directly back to two LAN <-> ports on the Time Capsule....or....connecting one Express back to the Time Capsule and then connecting the second Express to the first Express using Ethernet. This assumes that you have a "new" Express with both WAN and LAN ports.
If you choose wireless only, both Express devices will connect back directly to the Time Capsule, so both of them should be located where they can receive a strong signal from the Time Capsule wireless.
A "hybrid" approach can also work. Connect one Express to the Time Capsule using an Ethernet cable and then setup the second Express to connect to the first Express using wireless only.

Can you use iTunes on two different computers for one iPod?

My computer broke and it is currently being fixed, but in the meantime I want to update my iPod. Does anyone know if I can download iTunes on a different computer and plug in my iPod to put the songs I currently have and put different ones on. Also, if I do that will it be able to work on my computer when I get it fixed? Thanks

Can you move files between two different user accounts in Time Capsule?

I copied a bunch of stuff from my old NAS (which used FAT) to Time Capsule under one user account... I then reformatted the NAS to HFS+ so I could just use it as a USB drive connected to the TC. Now I realized that I want to have one of those folders in another user directory. I cannot open two different sessions of the TC on the computer...at least I have not figured out how to do this. Is there a way to accomplish this without copying the folder to my computer, then copying it back to the other user directory? It is several gigs.

you can crop files from one account to another using the Public Dropbox which every user account has. Log into the user that has the files you want to move, then drag the folder you want to the new users' dropbox:
I suggest a small scale test on a few files first before moving gigabytes of files.

Can I back up to rotating external drives via Time Capsule

     Right now, I've got a great system for backup using Time Machine, rotating two USB external drives. Every couple of weeks when one of my family members comes to visit, he brings one drive and we swap it for the one that's been doing the backup. That way we always have one backup off site, and we are likely to never lose more than a couple weeks of content if something happens to the local backup.
     Now, we're starting to need to back up at least two other computers in the house, preferably wirelessly. Time Capsule sounds like a great option, but I need to know: can I continue to use my rotating drive scheme with a time capsule, attaching alternating USB drives every couple of weeks? I think I've read elsewhere that you can tell Time Capsule to not use the internal drive (which would probably be best for our system).

You do not need the Time Capsule.. the new airport extreme would work just as well. (or should do so if Apple are keeping up with things).
You simply will exchange the USB drive.. TM can choose which drive you backup to on the network.. if you do use a Time Capsule you do not choose backup on the TC.. it is still done in TM.
BUT there is no need to use AE at all.. you can backup using Time Machine to shared USB drive on the network.. that is effectively the same thing.

Can I back-up an external hard drive to Time Capsule

I'm looking at getting a new Macbook pro - mainly for photo editing. Am concerned that I may run out of storage and don't really want to pay over the odds to increase storage so was thinking of purcahsing the LaCie 1TB Rugged Thunderbolt/USB 3.0 Hard Drive to store my photos on. I was then looking at the time capsule for back-up. Can I back-up photos from theLaCie 1TB Rugged Thunderbolt/USB 3.0 Hard Drive to the Time capsule?

Of course, always that the external drive is formatted in “Mac OS Extended (Journaled)”. Apart from that, you shouldn't have any issue,
Then, open System Preferences > Time Machine > Options, and remove the external drive from excluded items. The next backup will include your external drive.
Note that you may not be able to back up the external drive if it's connected to your Time Capsule. If it doesn't work, connect the external drive to your computer

Backups of both Macs are kept completely separate by Time Machine. Each Mac will only be able to access its own backups.
As long as you have ample space for the backup of the new Mac and future incremental backups, things will be fine.
Currently, I have had four Macs backing up to a single Time Capsule for a number of months with no issues at all.

At this moment we're backing-up our i-devices to iCloud but no more storage available and don't feel like buying more storage.

iOS devices cannot backup to TC.
They either backup to the cloud or local itunes on a computer.. the computer then is backed up by TM to the TC.. so indirectly it is backed up.
You can copy files to the TC from idevices but you will need to install a file browser app. eg Filebrowser.
But that is not backup and there is no backup app I know of.

If it is only the media files that are on the external drive, with the library files in the default location of User's Music\iTunes then see Make a split library portable.

You should create a new compuer login account for him (System prefs > Users & Accounts) and he will have all his own data including his own iTunes library.
Also, you can have more than one device in iTunes and sync different content.

I have two separate itunes libraries on two different computers. One computer has crashed, but they are both on the same account. Is there any way to transfer music onto a new library from a computer that cannot be turned on and have itunes accessed?

if the computer cannot be turned on, one option would be to remove the hard drive and put it in an external enclosure that can be connected to the working computer.
