I am unable to access intranet on my MacBook Pro 13" with OS X mavericks. Is it possible to use files on the Local Area Network? I use the files on the Local Area Network on my windows computer by typing in the I.P address in the library. Kindly guide me how i can use these files stored over the Local Area Network.

I disabled GateKeeper's automatic blocking of unrecognised developers, and so I was able to install the driver.
The Mobile Connect program is now installed, but the computer still does not recognise the modem.
I also borrowed a USB hub from a friend and it didn't make a difference.

You can only see planned/psted deprecation listed in tab 'Posted Values' (AW01N) when the area is set to post to GL - see OADB. Only for parallel curr. aras the setting can be 0 and still you will see depreciation planned/posted in the said tab. In this case the system recognizes itself by the customizing that this is a parallel currency area. For all other areas you must indicate if a depr. area is posting depreciation in OADB. Else you will find a text saying "There is no depreciation".

How can I see the PC on my local network. With Leopard installed I see the others Mac on the network but ot the PC. But the PC see me. What happen and How I can resolve that.

Have you tried connecting to the PC via the Finder's "Connect to Server…" and used the IP address?

Do you have the workgroup set up in the network preferences for the service that you are connected to your LAN with.
There is also a problem on Leopard where the workgroup doesn't stay set, so if that is the case, you need to duplicate the service (ethernet, airport, etc) and use the duplicate. You can then remove the original.

I can't help with the scan/print problem. You seem to have done everything I would try.
I don't know if maybe using a registry cleaner would help.

[Solved] Can't find what messes up my locales

Hi,
First of all, I'd like to say that I did follow the beginner's guide and the locale wiki entry before posting here. I spents many hours trying to correct the issue myself but I can't think of anything but ugly fixes now...
Please note that I've done a few adjustments after the initial installation to try and fix my locale. For example, my /etc/locale.conf initially didn't include anything else than LANG and LC_COLLATE, but I've added other options to try and fix them (no success).
The global locale that I want to use is en_CA.UTF-8. I've enabled it in /etc/locale.gen and generated it with locale-gen, and here's the output of:
$ locale -a
C
POSIX
en_CA.utf8
Here's my locale.conf:

LANG="en_CA.UTF-8"

So the problem is that a few locales are set to fr_CA.ut8, which isn't enabled and doesn't even correspond to the locale.gen entry (it would've to be fr_CA.UTF-8). Several applications report that they cannot find the locale so I'd really like to correct that. Also several characters fail to show up correctly in bash (man pages, htop, bash itself, etc.). For example:
$ man locale
man: can't set the locale; make sure $LC_* and $LANG are correct
I have no rc.conf or rc.local in /etc. There also isn't anything in /etc/bash.bashrc or ~/.bashrc regarding locales, and I don't see what else could affect it. /etc/profile doesn't, I don't have any ~/.profile... I'm quite lost.
I've also tried going back to the base configuration shown in the beginner's guide, so no ~/.config/locale.conf and only LANG and LC_COLLATE in /etc/locale.conf, but I get the same results.
I know I could export these values in other startup scripts but it seems like an ugly fix to me and I'd like to correct the problem at its root. I don't believe there's any relevant log file. Could you please help me fix this?

My setup has always included that file followed by `locale-gen` as well as setting up /etc/locale.conf as you have.

I have the same problem, on my primary computer (Windows XP Pro , but the cause may be different from what 123polis123 had.
It seems that the installer installed the Enterprise Multiserver configuration instead of the built in server.
Note that I installed sucessfully on my laptop (Windows XP Home), using the same install parameters.
I chose the "Server configuration" which has a self contained server tunning a single instance with an embedded JEE server. After running though all the installation screens, before proceeding with the actual installation, the installer reported the following:

The installation proceeded without a hitch, except at the end when the browser is supposed to come up with the admin configuration page it can't find the server. Port 8500 is open. I fiddled around awhile to see what the problem was. I installed on the other computer which went fine - the only difference is that the .NET version is 1.1.4322. I then re-installed, without uninstalling, on the problem computer. When the installer got to the screen where I select the server configuration, Enterprise Multiserver configuration was selected and it was not possible to select onything else. I uninstalled and re-installed. Same thing happened.
The processes running included: k2admin.exe, k2index.exe, k2server.exe and CFDotNetsvc.exe. The processes on the sucessful install included cfp.exe and cfupdate.exe.
Note that I had installed Eclipse and the CFEclipse plugin before installing CF9.

I can't publish my site to a local folder. It says "Publish Error. An unknown error occurred". There is also no Domain.site2 in iWeb folder in Application Support. I was wondering if anybody may be able to help please? I can open the site from the local folder but working on changes will not work and some catagories don't show properly. Are you looking in the correct library. You want the Home () /Library/Application Support folder.
Or you can download and run the shareware Find Any File to search for "domain.sites2". FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't and will find the domain file.
