Can I block all international call-outs?

I bought an iPhone 3G in Hong Kong, and I have a lot of friends in US and China. Is it possible to block all the international calls, to block all the numbers begin with +1 and +86?

I mean block all call-outs. I would be very happy to answer their calls
Maybe I'm being naïve, but wouldn't the easiest solution be simply not to call them? Is the temptation simply too great?

  • I cannot beleive VZW does not have a way to black ALL international calls

    My husband has been receiving harassing international call for well over a year. He answered the first few and there were a couple of girls laughing and speaking in a foreign language. He has not answered these calls since but they will not stop. Yesterday he received 33 calls from the same number. They use so many different numbers and area codes it is impossible to block them all. VZW of course wants him to change his number but it is a business number and they may be too costly to us. So yesterday I had to sign up for usage controls which is $5 a month/ $60 per year to try to stop them. I load in the max of 20 numbers allowed by VZ to block and this morning when we checked his phone the was a totally different number on the missed call list!
    I cannot believe a company as technically advanced as VZ does not have a way to block ALL international calls.
    Does anyone have any suggestions other than changing his number?

  • How can I block all incoming international calls?

    How can I block all incoming international calls?

    Verizon does not value me as a customer because they would not assist me with getting the blocks done. The services Verizon offered, "Family Base" does not block what I and many, many, many, more verizon customers need.  The APP is working GREAT! In the 1st two days it blocked over 25 unwanted solicitations from India. It blocked "unknown", Private, 1234, 123456789566, 000-000-0000, and other 10 digit numbers! NOKIA has done a fabulous job with the developement of their APP. Verizon could block these calls but is not willing to do so and in the process try to sell me a product that wouldn't work.

    I don't know if I'm asking this all in a way that can be understood? Thanks ED3K, however that part I do understand (in the link you provided!)
    What I need to know is "how" I can separate or rather create another Apple ID for my son-who is currently using "my Apple ID?" If there is a way to let him keep "all" his info on his phone (eg-contacts, music, app's, etc.) without doing a "reset?') Somehow I need to go into his phone's setting-create a new Apple ID and possibly a new password so he can still use our combined iCloud & Itunes account?
    Also then letting me take back my Apple ID & password, but again allowing us (my son and I) to use the same iCloud & Itunes account? Does that make more sense??? I'm sincerely trying to get this cleared up once and for all----just need guidance from someone who has a true understanding of the whole Apple iCloud/Itunes system!
    Thanks again for "anyone" that can help me!!!

  • Can you block a incoming call on iPhone 4s

    Can you block a incoming call on iPhone 4s?

    Call blocking is a carrier feature. In the U.S., most major carriers offer blocking features. Give yours a call.

  • "Do not disturb" can not block "No ID CALL"

    "Do not disturb" can not block "No ID CALL"
    I tuned on Do Not Disturb and selected allow Favorites can call in. In iOS6 it can block the call No ID, but in iOS7 can not. Is it bug?

    Make sure your 'Show in Lock Screen' options didn't get changed for any of those apps you want to see.  Mine are still showing up just fine with DND turned on.

  • HT1688 Is there any App for blocking the International calls on my phone?

    Is there any App for blocking the International calls on my phone?

    No.
    For security reasons, 3rd party apps don't have access to private iPhone APIs which such an app would require.
    You want to stop being able to place such calls or stop receiving such calls?
    If the latter, try stopping it at the source by contacting your carrier.

  • How or can i block a number calling me

    how to or can i block a number calling my i phone 4.
    i am on o2 ireland network.

    Even a $30 cellphone can block voice or txt from unwanted callers, why Apple missed this feature is a total mistery for me.
    The only working solution I found is:
    - make a file with Garageband (some seconds of full silence);
    - send it to iTunes;
    - download it on the iPhone's Ringtones;
    - save the callers in your Contacts;
    - use that silent ringtone as a specific ringtone for the unwanted calls, but only after you saved the callers in your Contacts of course!
    But still ...you can't set the iPhone to not Vibrate for those specific callers...

  • Block incoming international calls?

    I am getting incoming phone calls from 2348173632154 -- spam from a Nigerian caller! I cannot block it, because it is a 13-digit number and not a 10-digit number. Does anyone know how I can block it through other means?

        Hi Gcambp8424!
    I realize unexpected calls can be frustrating! Unfortunately, international numbers with more than 10 digits can not be blocked. Keep in mind, you will not be billed for receiving an international call while you a located in the United States. To view our Call & Messaging block feature visit:http://vz.to/1nMgSTH .

  • Can I barr all chargable calls?

    I'm getting a landline so I can get broadband.
    I notice that even with the package with no monthly charge you get free weekend calls.
    I have a mobile with tonnes of free minutes for calls.
    I've a fear that my housemate may run up a bill but I'd like him to access the free weekend calls (or evening & weekend if we go for that package).
    So is it possible that I can get a call barr on all calls that will be charged whilst still accessing the free calls that come with the package?
    If not, can you provide further information please as this site gives very little away in terms of calll barring.
    than you for your time.

    Hi Howaylee,
    Welcome to the forum.  The short answer to your question is no.
    BT do offer call barring but it will not allow you to just block chargeable calls.  Please take a look at this link Calling Feature User Guides, page 4 of this will show you what calls can be barred with this calling feature.
    You can view all our calling feature options by clicking on this link Calling Features.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

  • Can i block a no caller id number from my prepaid plan?

    i keep getting a bad prank calls from people saying rude things and i need to block them my son answered my cell phone and herd some frighting stuff so i need to make it so blocked or no caller ids can call me any more? my phone is the prepaid iphone 4

    There's not much you can do. You can't block a number when there is no number. Verizon can not see the number when they are blocked. So no way to block a "no caller ID" or "Private" or whatever it says. They probably use *67 to block their number. You can use *77 to send them a message to reveal their number if they want to reach you. *87 will disable that. Try to ignore those calls. Talk to your kid/kids about it. If it says "Unknown Caller", don't answer. But if you can, *77 is effective.

  • Can Mail block all incoming mail from a particular domain?

    Can Mail be configured to block all incoming mail from a particular domain? I'd rather it be sent to the bit bucket than sent to a spam folder.

    Yes, go in to your rules and set it up for a folder of your choosing.  Click on the mail menu item then select preferences and then click on rules.

  • Can I stop ALL incoming calls?

    I am going to Europe and signed up for international calling, but do not want to pay $1.99 for every incoming call. I was told even if I do not answer a call that it will cost me $1.99. Since I will be using my phone for several applications and email I do not want to turn my phone off just so calls do not come through. I'm hoping I'm just missing a setting as this situation would make my Iphone nearly unusable if I have turn turn it off and on dozens of times daily. Ideas? Cheers ~ Rob

    Am I missing something here? Why not just forward all calls to your voicemail number before leaving the US.
    Unless you prevent your phone from registering on a roaming network, then without such forwarding already in place calls will forward to the roaming network before either ringing your iPhone or going to voicemail. Either way this will incur a charge. In the case of calls that hit the roaming network and then go to voicemail you incur a double charge: the cost of forwarding the call to the roaming network plus the cost of returning the call to your home network for voicemail.
    I would recommend contacting your service provider who should be able to advise on how to divert all calls to voicemail before you travel.

  • Nomorobo blocking all incoming calls

    I set up Nomorobo last night.  Got the confirmation phone call.  After that, all incoming calls were blocked after the first ring.  I emalied Nomorobo and am waiting for their response. Anyone else have this experience?

    csk47 wrote:
    I just installed Nomorobo yesterday as per the instructions given.  Everything appeared to be set up correctly and the test screen showed protected.  A couple of hours later I got a call with a short first ring then a second ring..then nothing.  So I assumed it was a robocall that was intercepted.  A few hours later another call came in..it, too, was intercepted.  It seemed odd that two calls coming in..both are robocalls..so I logged into Xfinity and saw that both calls went right to voice mail rather than ringing through so I could answer them at home.  Tried calling my home number with my cell and same thing...right to voice mail.  Sent a message to Nomorobo but no response as yet.  It seems the fault must be in the Call Forwarding preferences of Xfinity...but for now I've disconnected Nomorobo and calls from my cell go correctly to my home phone.  If anyone comes up with a solution please post it.It took a month for me to hear back from nomorobo support and then I got this when I told them all my calls were going to robo. I did have it set up correctly so still not sure why mine won't work and I undid everything so I am back to 'normal' for now.   It might be of some use to you.... "I'm sincerely sorry for the extreme delay here. From the information you've given me it sounds like the toll-free number (202-813-1600) we provided you is in your Call Forwarding list, not the Advanced Call Forwarding list, which means all your calls are being forwarded to Nomorobo. You should remove the number from that location and all incoming calls will no longer be blocked.If you don't see the Advanced Call Forwarding option, it's because Voice2Go isn't activated. Here is a link that should help you activate Voice2Go: https://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/phone/activate-voice-2go . Here is another link with specific instructions to using Nomorobo on Comcast Xfinity: https://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/phone/nomorobo"
