Can i block game center challenges?

Is there a way to block Game center challenges? I have many friends in one application but i am constantly recieving other app challenges. I hate recieving them in FB and blocked every one, i would like to do the same here ut keep the friends. (yes, i relaize i can unfriend them to get rid of the challenges but why should i penalize them for another app's blatant push challenge. Aside form a formal complaint to apple, i was hoping there is already a feature to prevent these annoying notifications?

Under restrictions you can turn off multi-player games and adding friends in game center.
Beyond that you cant' block it.
I don't have any friends in game center, but you could try signing in, removing all of them, then disallow adding more. Perhaps if you have no friends in game center you can't receive challenges
You can also go into the settings and notifications and turn everything off for game center. THen you won't see them on the screen

    I  can receive Game Center challenges but when I send them  to the same friend they don't receive them. Very frustrating!

    Neither one of us have any restrictions set. They are not enabled. She can send them to me but when I send challenges to her, she doesn't receive them.     get your game center account set up, then go to the Real Racing app and start it up. You should get a little game center pop up at the top of the screen saying "Welcome back (your username)". Then Real Racing should appear in your games on Game Center

    Swiping up from the bottom of the screen with four fingers did not bring up the app preview. A single press on the home button still brings me back to the home screen, but a double press of the home button does nothing following updating to 7.1   Given that, when I added a software home button as suggested by DIAVONEX, I found that all of the apps WERE still open! So thank you DIAVONEX, and you should be careful, bobseufert, as your information was inaccurate.( I did try turning it off and that didn't change anything. ) I don't really want a software home button on my screen, but I guess I will use it until either there is another update to resolve this glitch or someone else identifies a quirky setting that I inadvertently activated...

    I remember my Username on Gamcenter but due to the recent update of iOS7, it is only letting me Sign in through my APPLE ID - which i have forgotten over time. I wish to recover my account recently because I remember purchasing Gems on the game 'Clash of Clans' and I wish I could restart playing the game.

  • Can I cancel game center's content for every games?

  • Can I play Game Center Games with other family members sharing one Apple ID

    I have several IOS devices sharing the same Apple ID that my sons and wife use. I have set up a game center account using that ID and can find no way that we can play head to head games on those multiple devices against each other using that one Apple ID login, even if I create multiple Nicknames. Am I missing something?

    An Apple ID is just an account that uses an email address and password. It does not have to be tied to iTunes. You can create one here. Create one each for your sons and wife.

    I just spent a fair amount of time with the support concerning a serious bug in Game Center on a French system, I think it is worth sharing.
    Summary:
    On a french system, one cannot edit game center settings (country, emails, and more importantly, confidentiality — If your profile is public, you can't switch it to private)
    Steps to Reproduce:
    Setup iOS in french
    Go to Game Center
    touch the mail address (it has to be already configured)
    choose to view account
    Try using one of the following actions
    change email address
    confidentiality
    country
    Additional note : there is no Save button on the upper right corner
    Expected Results:
    A view controller should be pushed in the current navigation controller
    Actual Results:
    The view is simply scrolled to top
    Regression:
    I think this bug is present since first releases of Game Center
    Workaround :
    A solution to perform changes is to switch the system to english and when done, switch it back to french.

  • Can two separate Game Center users share the same Apple ID?

    Two people share the same Apple ID on their separate iPads. Now want to start getting into games and compete with Achivements. Can they have separate Game Center accounts using the same Apple ID?
    (similar to how they use the same Apple ID with FaceTime, but are able to use different email addresses for video calls)

    Creating a new iTunes account does not remove any purchases made on a different account.
    If you want to create a new account : iTunes: How to set up an Apple ID within iTunes
    Or if you will want to use it in the stores and don't want to give credit card details : Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method
    Or if you are not currently logged into an account in game centre then you should have a 'create a new Apple id' link at the bottom of the login screen in it.

    Yes, you explained how to create a folder, but your explanation did not work for me. Perhaps 'Game Center' is not an application? Let me explain.
    I never use iPod, and now I have Game Center, which I don't use. After you posted your suggestion, I pressed 'Game Center', waited until all the applications wiggled, and then I dragged 'Game Center' to 'iPod'. No folder was created. What happened was that the iPod application decided to avoid the Game Center application and no matter how insistent I was, they did not merge or create a folder.
    I guess I just have to live with those applications -if they are called applications as I'm not sure of this since they don't behave as the majority of applications- Apple insists I exhibit in the iPad. I hope we will not gather one of the unwanted ones in every software update.

  • Can I change Game Center account that is linked to clash of clans

    HI so when I first got the game Clash Of Clans i was just
    messing around with it and linked it to my parents game center/iTunes account unknowingly. Well now that I have actually gotten to like the game and such I want to like it to my own iTunes/Game Center account. So basically I want to change   the current Game Center account that it is linked to, to a my
    own game center account but I do not know if this is possible
    or how how to do it. Would I have to Call apple or supercell?.. Please help thank you

    It looks like you have multiple Apple IDs (which are linked to Gamecenter). Try putting each of them one at a time in Settings>Gamecenter and loading COC after logging into one. Or if you have both devices, you can open CoC on the old one, you can use the option to transfer your village to a new device (I'm assuming you know where that is...you are a th8).

  • Can't set Game Center Picture or Status

    I've used my Game Center account since iOS 4, and I've never been able to set a status or picture. When I launch the app, it looks like this. The area where you enter the status and picture is simply not there. And before anyone asks, I'm older than 13.

    It sounds like you are not getting the email to reset your password.  If you have a rescue email setup for your Apple ID, the reset password email will be sent there and not your Apple ID email address:
    When you provide a rescue email address, all future security emails, such as password resets from iForgot, will be sent to the address provided.

  • Can I Use Game Center With Another iPad User?

    Am I able to play a game simultaneously with another iPad user by using game center? For example, can we play a hangman game against each other from different locations if we do it through game center? And if so, how?

    This is possible, however it is not as easy as that.
    If you want to allow someone to have access to a purchase you have made on your Apple ID, you must log into their device with your Apple ID and download that purchase..You would then simply log back out again.
    Every purchase you make with your Apple ID gives you the licence to store the purchase accross 5 devices.
    On the other persons device, go to Settings > Store > Apple ID > Sign Out.
    Sign into their device the same way, then go into iBooks > Store > Purchased, and download your book.
    Once downloaded, go back into Settings > Store > Apple ID > Sign Out, then sign back in with their Apple ID.

  • Can't access game center using nickname from second account

    I have two Apple IDs associated with two different e-mail addresses.  I set up a game center account with one address and another account with the second address and different ID.  After my ipad had to be reset following a crash during the upgrade to ios7 I have been unable to access one of my game center accounts with most of my games on it. Is there any way I can log into the game center just using my game center nickname. I have tried a number of options given on different forums but the message I get when trying to use my old nickname is that it has already been taken.
