Somebody please help!!
How can I blur a licence in a video clip for privacy reasons? Please help the internet is a dangerous place and I don't want to release a friends private information.

Thanks for your help. I think you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned the thumbnails folders - I looked inside those and found a miniature of the whole movie - obviously it refers to that when showing you the previews etc. Thats why nothing seemed to have changed. Im sure that when I finalised or exportted it would have referred to the full version.
While I was waiting for an answer I just went ahead and reimported the whole thing and found that I could replace the existing video with the new one and all the titles etc styed in place.
I will be interested to see some other time if it is possible to simply switch and and delete the thumbnails.

Can I get rid of the battery-like icon in the locbar?

With a few websites a gray icon that looks like a car battery appears at the left end of my locbar, followed by the "more than" sign (>). I'm told that this means that an element on the page uses a plug-in—although I can't find any pertinent documentation. If what I'm told is correct, I can't see any use for this icon. My questions are:
1. Of what use is this icon? and
2. Is there any way of getting rid of it?

Usually, the Troubleshooter add-on in Firefox (built-in I believe) will try to grab your troubleshooting information. It's a green button that shows before you post your question. I'm not sure how the Ask a Question process works anymore since it's been re-worked previously but I'm sure Tyler would know more.
Checking the box "Needs more information" basically is asking the OP or anybody else for more information. For example, I can click the "Needs more info" and it'll add a 'tag' for needing more info. Once the info requested has been provided, you can clear it by clicking the checkbox again. It'll say something different. (I think it says "I'm providing the requested information.)
You can copy/paste the Troubleshooting Information manually by following the directions below:
*Navigate to <code>about:support</code> via Address Bar
*Click the button that says <code>Copy text to clipboard</code>
*Now, go back to your forum post and click inside the reply box. Press Ctrl+V to paste all the information you copied into the forum post.

Double click on the clip to load it into the Viewer. Click on the MOTION TAB. Look down at the CROP options....crop to your hearts content.

With MobileMe, one of the features I used most was iDisk. I would upload all of the content I needed later in another location to my iDisk, and it was so convenient. I understand that with iCloud when working on one thing, such as a document, on my Mac for example, it will be pushed also to my iPad. But what if I just want to store a document or a song or a photo? Can I still do that the way iDisk allowed me to?

I use Dropbox which I think you will find is worth considering as a iDisk replacement. If you have used MobileMe to publish a website you will need to move it before 30 June 2012 because that is another MobileMe feature not supported by iCloud and if you have to do that then you probably will also have to consider a replacement for the iWeb application to avoid legacy issues.

Inserted a png PIP into my clip, can see it fine, can see it playing with the clip as expected when moving the play head manually, but cannot get it to play with the clip for preview, pleas help!

I am sorry if my inquiry here seem dumb but I am a new iMovie user and cannot figure this out. I inserted a png image into my video clip in the project as PIP, I can see it and move it and can also see it playing with the main clip if I move the play head manually, I can also see the PIP part only playing along with the undelying main clip if I use the Play button in the preview window when the PIP section is selected, however, for the life of me I cannot get it to play with the main clip all together for previewing the entire video via the video play button. What happens is that the video plays normally and when the PIP section comes in, the video clip stop all motion during the duration of the PIP section and the PIP image itself is simply NOT showing. Am I missing something really stupid here? It seems as it the Picture On Picture is a separate clip that plays with the underlying main video clip if selected and played by itself but it is not part of the video clip and will not play with it. What am I missing here, can anyone please help?

The easiest way to get up and running is to convert your MP3s to MP4s (obviously there won't be a video track). The following link links to a file that was an MP3 that I converted to an MP4 using QT Player Pro. When you go to export the files, make sure you click on "Options" and then check the box for "Enable Streaming" in the Streaming tab. It should stream flawlessly using QT Player. rtsp://rhsstreamit.rih.org/testmp4/Scorpion.mp4
Make sure you place the media to be streamed in the proper folder. You should only get a "404" message if the physical file doesn't exist.

I would like to create installer within LabVIEW 8.5 and add some file which should be installed on the D:\ drive on the target machine. I see a lot of predefined folders, but how can I add D:\ as destination???

You are aware that you can purchase and install a copy of Windows directly on your Mac, right?
Boot Camp is included with OS X, and requires that you create a separate partition for Windows and install it onto your Mac hard drive. You re-boot your Mac computer into Windows when you want to run the Windows app.
There are also virtual machine environments that will allow you to run full Windows at the same time as Mac OS X: Parallels Desktop, and VMWare Fusion.
Windows performance running in a virtual environment will be limited by the amount of RAM available, the microprocessor, and the amount of hard disk space available.
Parallels offers a free 15-day trial, but you still need a full licensed copy of Windows in order to test it.

In Reporting Services, there are several data point marker types(like Square, Circle) for us to customize a chart. However, it’s not supported to specify the marker type with a short vertical, or a cross combine with a short vertical line. In your
scenario, if you want to specify data point markers for different fields, you can select those build-in marker types in Series Properties pane.

Can anyone tell me what the Speedometer-like icon associated with my USB drive partitions mean?

This seems to be new to Yosemite. Or at least I have never seen it until recently.
In Disk Utility (and Carbon Copy Cloner - which I use to create a bootable copy of Macintosh HD to a USB HD partition) there is an icon that looks like a speedometer or perhaps a thermometer). The needle is all the way to the right in the red portion of the icon, which looks rather ominous.
It is easier to see in Carbon Copy Cloner than it is in Disk Utility, but exists in both applications.
Can anyone tell me if this icon is coming from Yosemite (or perhaps Carbon Copy Cloner) and exactly what it means?
The drive passes S.M.A.R.T and general Disk Utility testing and appears to behave normally. I do not believe the drive (a five year old 1 TB WD My Book Essentials 2.0) supports temperature monitoring so I doubt it is a thermometer. And the icon does NOT appear next to the partition used for Time Machine backups but does appear next to the other two GUID, Mac OS Extended (Journaled) partitions.

It comes from installing an enhancing utility made by Western Digital (WD), Its supposed to and I quote "improve the performance of the drive on a Mac Computer." It comes in a folder, possibly call extra, already on the drive when you get it. If you go to http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?level1=1&lang=en and find your drive you can pull up the specific user guide to learn more.

Go to your second computer, login to the App Store using the same AppleID you used when you purchased OS X Lion and download it from THAT computer. Or, since you mentioned you downloaded it to one computer and both computers are on the same local area network, share the Install OS X Lion.app file with your second computer or put it on an 8GB USB thumb drive, unplug the drive, plug it into your second computer and copy it to its /Applications folder.

Bought a Mac Mini. at 18 day's old it started to lock up and not function. Took it in and they wiped and reinstalled it. Well at 24 day's old it's been sitting in the box not being used. First and last Mac for me. But can I get something for the junk?

I have pulled it out of the box and put 2 Mac approved mem sticks in it to boost it to 8 Gigs mem and it still locks up and freazes.. So many people told me Mac was the way to go... 1500 dollers could have bought me a great pc laptop. Now I have a wirless mouse keyboard and a mac mini (aka Brick) that allowed me to donate money to a cause that is helping buildings and companies out side of the US. While I have junk.. It's still under warranty and I reinstalled the os after the new mem sticks. Again.. locks up and does nothing. What can I do with this? Toss it in the trash? Any info on what I might do with it.. Please help!

If your Mini is anything less than six months old it would be running Lion, not 10.6.1, nor would it have been necessary to "reinstall the OS". Any help that anyone can provide is predicated on your system configuration so it's important.
If you are running Lion then boot your Mini while holding the D key. This will load Apple Hardware Test which will enable you to test your memory. "Mac approved" memory is sort of vague, and even memory that is allegedly designed to meet your Mini's specification may fail. There few reputable memory vendors.
"Apple installed" memory is more meaningful, and indicates Apple has tested it and guarantees its function. Otherwise all bets are off with a claim of "Mac approved". You will have to verify that yourself with Apple Hardware Test.
If your Mini was running, or ever ran OS 10.6.1 for that matter, it is close to three years old.
You must clear up these uncertainties before anyone can help.
