Can I borrow/copy someone else's AI disc?

OK, so a few months ago I had a graphic artist help create my business logo & I have it in an "AI layered file". I had tshirts printed up already but I told her that I will need to be able to play with my logo to make my own business cards, signs, etc & that I must be able to move things around, resize, change color if I wanted to, etc. on my own. It might not have been fully explained to me by her that I will only be able to do this if I have AI or something similar (I am NOT a computer guy & I don't know how all this works) but if she had fully explained that to me then I would have saved the $200 I paid her & put it towards an AI disc & done the simple logo myself! So I'm wondering if it's possible for me to copy someone's disc so I can make my own business cards?
I have Windows 8...I tried a trial version of Corel draw many times but I just couldn't get it figured out.
Any suggestions, business cards will only cost me about $30, I can't afford or justify the cost of buying an AI disc?

A couple of things to address:

What your designer probably understood is that you would want to do all of those things without losing any quality. This is actually a very smart and valid thing to request, unfortuneately the reality is there is no non-computer savy way to do it. AI makes it so you can make your logo as large or small as you want without losing quality (a.k.a. business cards to billboards)...theoretically.
I would have saved the $200 I paid her & put it towards an AI disc & done the simple logo myself!
Believe it or not, you actually got an incredible deal paying only $200 for your logo. The last logo project I was involved with had a team of designers and regular book time would have brought it in at well over $5,000. Frankly, the simpler a logo seems to be, the better.

If you can't figure out Corel, AI won't be any fun for you either. Business cards are just the printing cost. The logo and design going into it are what will sell your business.
It is illegal to copy Adobe products without your own license key. Download the trial version.

Before you sell or give away your computer, in addition to the steps listed in this support article, take these steps:
1. Run Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test. The buyer will do this (or he should), and you don't want to be surprised by the results.
2. Reset the PRAM and the SMC, which might contain personal information.
3. If you set a firmware password, remove it by running Firmware Password Utility in Recovery mode.
4. If you activated FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, turn it off.
5. If you use Boot Camp, the partition must be deleted.
6. If you created any other data partitions on the internal drive, remove them in Disk Utility.
7. If the machine has an internal hard drive, erase the one remaining data partition with the option to zero out data. An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.
You can't legally or practically transfer any software downloaded from the Mac App Store to the new owner of the machine, even if it was free. That includes OS X, so if you upgraded to OS X 10.7 or later, you must reinstall an older OS, either from the installation media, if applicable, or by starting up in Internet Recovery mode (option-command-R at the startup chime.) If you installed from physical media, deliver those to the new owner.
If you're selling the machine, or donating it in working order, and it originally shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, then you have the option of installing either from the discs that came with it or from a retail Snow Leopard disc (which you must then transfer to the buyer.) The buyer should understand that if he doesn't get the original discs from you, he won't get the bundled iLife applications or the Apple Hardware Test. Replacements for the original discs can be ordered from Apple.
The new owner will have to redownload any software that came from the App Store, including OS X upgrades, under his or her Apple ID. If you ever updated the bundled iLife applications (Garage Band, iMovie, and iPhoto) through the App Store, you can't transfer those either. The buyer will have to purchase them.
Remove the machine from your list of registered products. If it's still covered by an AppleCare Protection Plan, transfer the coverage to the new owner by following the instructions in the AppleCare Terms and Conditions (under the heading "Transfer of Plan.")

I have always had this facility on my previous phones e.g. blackberry but can't seem to find a way with my Iphone.

No such option is available with the iPhone.
A text can be forwarded, but texts are saved in conversation format by contact/phone number.
Texts are included with your iPhone's backup, which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process. There are a number of 3rd party utilities that provide for extracting select data from your iPhone's backup for access on your computer - viewing/archiving/printing, etc.

How do I export SELECTED bookmarks to a flashdrive or CD so they can be viewed by someone else on their computer?

What I am trying to do is preserve selected bookmarked websites and their contents including videos (if possible) on a flashdrive or disc so they can be viewed by someone else in the future. All I can do right now is export all the bookmarks to a flashdrive where I only want to put selected ones on the drive. To address the second part of your question:
Bookmarks are just stored URLs, so if the page changes, or disappears, the bookmark won't help in accessing the lost content. If you want to actually download and save content, that's a more involved process, but might be worthwhile in some cases.

No, manufacturers generally do not track people's stolen property. The shuffle has no means to connect to the Internet so you can't track it yourself. Thankfully it's only $49.

Im writing this out for a second time because I lost the first one. Long story short I have a friend who knows loadsof my passwords including skype, I am cool with it and I dont really want to change them. But I am kind of paranoid about them accessing my messages like skype and email and facebook and wanted to know if skype tells you if someone else has logged into your account from a different IP or something or if someone is logged in at the same time as you on another computer and sending messages and stuff. Like Facebook tells you when you log in if someone has been on your account from another ip address.

To check if your Skype account is signed on simultaneously on another device (where, not who is using your account), type this chat command in any open instant message chat:
/showplaces
Lists other instances where this Skype name is currently signed in.
To force a sign-out, type this chat command:
/remotelogout
Sign out all other instances except the current one. This will also stop push notifications on all other instances.
From a safety and security standpoint, I would strongly recommend you reconsider allowing anyone to have a list of your account passwords. I recommend you start changing all of them, and the sooner, the better.

Lost discs - but have my serial number - can i install from someone else's?

long story short - i'm in new york with a reformated macbook pro, my fcs install discs are in boston, but my serial number is here. can i install fcs from someone else's discs using my serial number - or is that going to look illegal?
i can have the discs sent here but not as fast as i would like.

It is best to first change the password for your sync account and after having done that also generate a new sync key if you suspect that others are using your sync account.
Also be sure to use a master password to protect your passwords, including the sync password, and prevent others from hacking your sync account.

The stolen phone can be replaced by someone else

My phone has stolen on 5/14/2013. I called apple technical support number(********) as soon as possible, and reported the situation(the case number is ********). Few days later, which is 5/17/2013, I dialed that number again and wanted to know how was going. And then, the supporter told me that someone took the stolen phone to go to one of the apple stores and replaced the stolen phone because that phone's mic had no sound.
After the call, I go to the apple store with a policeman. But the stuff, who is the manager at that store, said that he didn't know why that man could replace the stolen phone and didn't have any responsibilities for the mistake. And then, this manager showed his rudeness, didn't even want to talk to us, me and the policeman. Because of the manager's noncooperation, the policeman can do nothing! No one can give me a reasonable explanation! The apple store's stuffs didn't even check the record if it's a stolen phone or not!
I was wondering if the stolen phone can be replaced at a apple official store without any ownership proof. Don't the stuffs should check the phone's record first? I just want to take my phone back. If anyone has any suggestions, please . Thank you!

Sorry to hear about your stolen iPhone but, you need to understand that Apple is not law enforcement, they will not try to retrieve a stolen Apple product. Then will replace an Apple product if they determine that the workmanship was the cause of a problem with a device. That's a good thing for the general public. I understand your issue that you would like Apple to help you retrieve your stolen iPhone, but that will not happen, that's law enforcement's job. You should look at this as a learning experience, purchase another iPhone and make sure you keep a close eye on it at all times, they are a hot commodity!

How can I listen to someone else's library? It briefly did, then disappeared when he restarted his computer. (Info within)

I spent a week with someone far away, and plugged in my iPod to his computer briefly to charge it for my flight home. I don't use my iPod very much, but when I plugged it in recently, I later noticed that "(Name)'s Library" showed up under "Home Sharing" which was under "Shared". I haven't touched sharing or anything. I could see and listen to all of his 5,000 songs. Later, he restarted his computer, and it disappeared, along with Home Sharing tab in the side bar. I actually enjoyed some of his music. We both turned on Home Sharing, I even signed into his Apple ID to see if that would do anything. Nothing.
First, I'm curious why it showed up in the first place. Second, I'd like to know how to get it back. I see on the internet sharing is easy for local networks, but we're in different countries. And it was on separate Apple ID accounts.

Can I sign into someone else's computer and download iTunes videos to transfer to my home using a memory card?

Here's my issue. I live in an area where the fastest available internet connection is 1.5 mb/sec with a limit of 150 gb/month. I purchase tv series passes from iTunes and I have fallen behind in my downloads. My father lives about 15 minutes away from me where he has access to a much faster cable internet connection w/out the monthly limits. Would it be possible for me to sign into my iTunes account on his computer & download the programs I have waiting to be downloaded? I haven't downloaded them onto any other computer/iPhone, I am just reminded everytime I sign into iTunes that I have numerous downloads pending. They wouldn't be watched on his computer, just downloaded and moved to a usb thumb drive I would take home with me. Then I would move the files to my computer at home which is the base for my iTunes account. I already have 5 pcs linked to my iTunes account, although 3 of them no longer work & 1 is my iPhone, so I wouldn't be able to add his pc as another computer. I'm hoping that someday I will have a faster connection available with higher data limits at my home, but until that happens, I would like to be able to get the programs I have paid for so I could actually watch them. Body of email is being duplicated when I send attachments and copy someone

When I send emails with attachments, the outgoing message goes out as one email, however, what I type is duplicated. This only happens if I copy someone else in that email (like myself). If I send a message with an attachment and I copy myself, I notice that when I open that mail in a different email application (Eudora for example), the message I sent is duplicated. For example, If I write a message that has "Dear Tom, thank you for writing. Attached is your invoice." and I send that mail to Tom and copy myself, and I open that mail in Eudora, I see that message as one incoming piece of mail, but it has the message to Tom listed twice in that same email. It will only have the attachment listed once, however my message to Tom is listed twice. I am not getting two emails, I am getting one email, but the message looks like I typed the same sentence twice. Now, if I do the same thing, but I don't have an attachment, I do not see the message twice.

Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup
Note, in 10.5 & up /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/ does not exist.
