My iPhone 4 screen is completely black but if I plug it in I can here the ding. Also if I silent my phone it still vibrates, nothing seems to appear on the screen. My 1 year warranty has expired but would I be able to re-purchase a new one to receive a new iPhone 4?

If you purchased an AppleCare warranty, it is for 2 years.

If it's due to a manufacturing defect, the warranty will cover it. If it's due to accidental damage, it'll cost to get it fixed unless it happened during an authorized repair.

The standard iPhone warranty does not cover accidental damage. Apple will fix it, but they will charge the full repair cost.
The AppleCare+ warranty for the phone, which you can buy within 30 days of the iPhone purchase, does cover two incidents of accidental damage and repairs are charged at $75 I believe.
Your carrier warranty, if you have one, may cover accidental damage - check with them.

As Peter says above, only an Apple Store genius can advise you.
But to further clarify, you seem to postulate that if Apple helps you, the cure would be a replacement. That is not necessarily true. Let them look at it and advise you what the remedy is. They may offer you nothing (saying it's your fault), or they may offer you a solution (keeping your current iPhone), or possibly a replacement.

Will Apple replace my iPhone 5 charger under the 1 year warranty?

My iphone 5 charger has been acting weird lately. It charges my phone only if i hold it in a certain position and if I move it it will stop charging, and it goes on and off. Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. If you iPod is defective, within warranty and not abused, Apple will exchange it at no cost.

You don't have to do anything with the first iPod that you don't use anymore. If you are planning on keeping it, put in a drawer in your house and forget about it.
You don't need a second account to use with the new iPod. I use one Appl e ID and iTunes library for two iPods, and two iPad. I have different content on all four devices. You can select exactly what you want to sync to each device and it can be different content on all devices.

Mov is a container format, you'd need to look at the codec used by the movie file inside the container to know whether it will work with the Apple TV or not.
