Can I buy a IPad Air wifi and cellular in Thailand and use the full options in the Netherlands?

Dear all,
I was wondering if i can buy i ipad air in Thailand and use the full options also in the Netherlands. At the moment I am in Thailand for 5 months. After those 5 months i will return back to the netherlands and want to use a dutch sim card for internet access? Is that possible?
Do some people have the experience with tis, and do you recomend me to buy the product over here?

At least with the Apple Stores in Southern California and in the Los Angeles area, only the lower-end standard models listed on the Apple web site are in stock. Ones with upgrades to the processor and RAM -- and also to storage -- need to be custom ordered either via the web site or through the toll free Apple phone number. They will build the new Mac to the exact specifications that you request right at the factory and then ship it to any store that you specify, and they can also give you a very good estimate for the day it will arrive at the specified store.
I recently did this for a 13-inch Macbook Air, where we ordered the fastest processor, the max memory (8 GB), and the most internal storage (512 GB). It arrived at the Apple Store about 5 days after the order was placed.

Case you want to connect to EU cellular carriers (Belgium, Germany etc) the iPad should be able to accept a simcard. For the iPad Mini that's a nano simcard;

Yes you can. All Ipad's are unlocked and can be used any where in the world. Buy the AT&T version which is GSM in other countries

Unless you purchased a Sprint-model iPad, then as AmishCake said, you cannot. If you do have a Sprint-model iPad, post back with details about the problem and someone can probably offer suggestions. Yes, GSM is the system used by AT&T and most of the world. CDMA is the system used by Verizon, and some of the other smaller US-based carriers. Buying the AT&T model will make life much easoier for you.
If you are using an iOS device, the ampersand, &, almost always ends up coming through as &amp...regular users know that and just ignore the little quirk.

It will work in Canada, but if you purchase a WiFi+Cellular model I'm not sure that the warranty would be honored in Canada. If you live it Canada, it would be better to purchase your iPad there.

Either will work fine in Central Asia as loge ad the carries support GSM (almost all do).
One of the iPads will only work with the AT&T GSM) network if you are in the USA and the Other with the Virizon network (uses CDMA, not GSM/SIM) if you are in the USA

Your iTunes account won't include your non-iTunes purchased e.g. music copied from CDs etc, nor photos that were synced from a computer.
To get non-iTunes music you will have to go via a computer. If you don't have that music on, for example, an external drive, then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back from a device : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
For photos that were originally synced from a computer then there are apps such as Simple Transfer which can copy them between devices and/or to a computer (though photos are 'optimised' as part of the syncing process, so if you do copy them back to a computer then they might not be the same as they were on your laptop).
