Can I buy an iPad in Asia and register the Apple Care Protection Plan in Europe?
I want to buy the new retina iPad mini while I am in Hong Kong for my semester abroad but I want to have it protected with an Apple Care Protection Plan for when I'm back in Europe. I was told that the protection plan is region specific for iPads and that my iPad won't be covered in Europe if I buy Apple Care in HK. But, what if I buy the iPad in HK and buy Apple Care separately in Europe, when I'm back?
The AppleCare+ plan is valid only in the US where you purchased the iPad. So if you want the $49 replacement price, you will have to send the iPad to someone you know in the US who can take or send it to Apple for you. Othewise you will have to pay Apple's full replacement price, assuming Apple India will even replace the iPad for you; if it's a WiFi+Cellular model you will probably have to send the iPad to the US in any case.
Regards.

I have the first generation iPad and bought the apple care protection. Does it cover accidental damage?
Apple's Limited Warranty http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/ for iPad excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, disassembly, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications.

Hi, I am planning on buying an iphone 4 from some one. The phone still has the Apple Care Protection plan on it. Would there need to be a transfer of plan onto my name? If so, how is this done?
As the others have said, transferring AppleCare to your name is not absolutely essential. It can make things easier in some cases, though, should questions arise, so it's worth having done. The person from whom you're buying the iPhone will have to call AppleCare Plan Administration (s/he can call the normal Apple support line and ask to be transferred) and arrange to have the plan transferred to you.

The apple care protection plan. how many times can i use it?
i bought a apple care protection plan and its been over 1 year since i got my ipod, the battery life isnt really long it lasts only like 2 hours or so, i dont want to send it in because its not really a huge problem and if something worse happens and i wouldnt be able to send it in. so im just wondering if i can send it in to get fixed and if i can use the protection plan again if anything else happens to it.
You can use the protection plan as many times as is necessary before it expires.

My friends are telling me this and I don't know if they are correct or not.
I've checked out my local (UK) Apple Store:
Applecare £69
iPad from £399
Sounds like a sweet deal to me. I'm going to sign up for this Applecare. I wonder how long I'll have to wait for the free iPad when they bring out the next generation......? -
Is it worth it to buy the Apple Care Protection Plan for a new Mac Laptop?
I was thinking of purchasing the Mac Book Air and I was wondering whether the warranty (which costs $250.00) is worth getting.
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You may or may not have to use it in the future, but it's worth, and more with the MacBook Air. The MacBook Air has got near all the parts soldered onto the logic board, so if one of these soldered parts fail, the whole logic board has to be replaced. A logic board costs half of the price of a new MacBook Air or more, so you should purchase AppleCare to prevent this type of things.
The MacBook Air has got everything soldered onto the logic board except the flash storage, so you should get AppleCare if you don't want to pay a lot of money to get your computer repaired -

Better to attach your receipt of product and applecare with it. -
I recently purchased a new iPad mini at a silent auction fundraiser. I only received a credit card receipt. What can I to show proof of purchase and register the product?
Go here to add the iPad to your support profile. That should work. Keep the credit card receipt as well.

i want to buy apple care protection plan..let me know the costs and from where i can buy it?
It seems that Apple are very efficient at collecting the £300 price, but it's very difficult to get support when needed. I have to wait four days to get a simple answer after struggling to communicate in the first place. Not a lot of 'peace of mind' in that.

I am planning to buy an iMac 21.5 inch with Fusion drive and 16 GB RAM while i visit USA for a conference. My country of origin is India and the option of configuring to my need is not avaialble here in India. My concern is once i am back to India, will my iMac be covered by the Apple's Protection Plan if something goes wrong here in India?
I recently came across some posts regarding International warranty related issues for iPhone and iPad....hence this crossed my mind...
Waiting for response from the support group members...Thanks Ralph
This essentially means that if my iMac develops some problem (both software and hardware) in my country (India), it will be completeley attended (even the whole system requires replacement) by the AASP in India...is that what you say? -
I use Pro Logic 9.1.8. and see that to upgrade to Pro Logic X I need to buy the full package again. Does apple offer special conditions for their Apple clients ? Are users of apple care protection plan better served ?
Old saying applies here most of the time......
"If it ain't broken, don't fix it"
I choose to use LP9 with Snow Leopard myself (10.6.8 and 9.1.6) for most of my commercial work simply because I find that combo very stable and provides the best overall performance for my setups here... but I am also using LPX with Mavericks as part of my client support and that works fine too although with a drop in performance due to the heavier demands made on the hardware by the newer OS X and LPX graphic routines for example..
