My dad is from Guatemala en he would like to send an iPad3 to a friend in Miami, Fl. but a friend just told me I can't buy within the Store with a non-Us credit card, is this true?...

in the US to purchase an iPad to be delivered in the US. Also, purchase
would be from Apple.com and not the app store which sells only apps and
no hardware. If your bank has a branch in Miami or is affiliated with a bank
in Miami, you may be able to arrange a direct transfer of funds to one of
the Apple stores in Miami but that is beyond the scope of this help forum
and left as an exercise for you or your dad.

Have you redeemed your iTunes card to an account associated with an Apple ID?
Once you have your iPad associated with an Apple ID AND you have an account with a credit card associated with the same Apple ID AND you have some 'store credit' (from redeeming your iTunes card) then purchases use the store credit before they charge the credit card, so you should be ok!
Personally, I use 'store credit' as a way to monitor whether or not there have been any 'unauthorised' purchases because as soon as the store credit is zero, the security code from the credit card is needed for further purchases! It does mean that I have sometimes to top up store credit before making a purchase, but 'better safe than sorry'!

Make sure there is enough funds for storage. Contact your bank and verify they are not stopping transaction.

Creating my own Fusion Drive: Do I need to buy Mountain Lion from the app store to reinstall the OS? Do I lose the iLife apps?

I just bought a Mac Mini (late 2012) with a 1TB HDD and I'm planning to install a second drive, an SSD (Samsung 840 evo) and create the Fusion Drive, and I have a couple of questions:
1- I've read lots of articles on how to do this but I'm not sure if I have to buy Mountain Lion from the app store (to reinstall the OS after I install the second drive) since I'm not able to see it on the "Purchased" list of apps, or if I can just reinstall OS X with OS X Utilities.
2- I read somewhere that if I make my own Fusion Drive when I reinstall OS X I will lose iLife, is this true? Or will I be able to redownload it from the store? I really don't want to lose iMovie, iPhoto and GarageBand and I'm confused about it.

In most cases, you can't use a Debit card anymore. So, either redeem an iTunes gift card or use a credit card.

Can't buy an application on the App Store

I recently bought an iPhone 5S and I can't buy any application on the App Store from my iDevice.
I always have the same error : Can't buy...Try later.
When i change the language, it downloads the app...
Could you tell me why it doesn't work please ? And why it works with an another language ?

I verified all my settings and my iTunes account. They are good.
The solution i found yesterday didn't work today. I have the same problem.
When i launch iTunes on my mac and i try to purchase an application, my iPhone tells me it's not possible but the download is launched on my mac. And once the download is finished with iTunes, my iPhone downloads the application.
My problem is only on my phone and for the moment i have no solutions.
I have an iPhone 5 on iOS 7 and no problem...

FYI Mac OS X is not designed to be installed on additional Macs, unless you purchased it from the App Store, in which case you can make as many copies as you wish and install it on as many Macs as you own.

Can I still buy iMovie '11 from the App Store? (I have an older iMac with Snow Leopard which cannot run the current version, iMovie 10).).

I am running Snow Leopard, and I bought a new camera (Canon Vixia HF R300). I am so far unable to download my movies into iMovie, and from what I have been able to ascertain, I need to upgrage to iMovie '11 to support the camera.
I have read that iMovie '11 was available at the Mac App Store, but now I see that the App Store has the new version, iMovie 10.0, which my Snow Leopard mac cannot support. Can I still get iMovie '11 from the App Store?

Apple has not made older versions of apps available in the MAS, only the most recent version. Apple constantly reminds folks that they alone are responcible for backing up their content purchases for the very reason that content may not always be available from the MAS in the future.
To answer your question, no, a license for a particular version of an Apple app does not entitle you to older versions of the app.

How can I get a refund from the app store?

I bought an game from the app store for 4.99. The description was written to be completely misleading and misrepresentative of the product (BADASS DUCATI: Street Monster).
I notice the same developer has a number of apps. on the store following the same format. Also there are more under a different developer name.
I emailed apple for a refund. No response (disappointing). I emailed the developer. No response (no surprise). Surely apple must have some responsibility to ensure that apps are correctly represented in their store and, by taking a commission on the transaction, should take some ownership of the contract of sale?
Any suggestions how to get a refund? how to report these bogus apps so that apple can clean the shelves of rogue developers?
Regardless of the success of a refund, to see the apps get pulled and the developer banned would at least demonstrate that apple care about their consumers and are not supporting the app store as a platform for conmen.

I haven't been able to find any definitive documentation on this. I have a MBP and Mac Pro at work and haven't upgraded either of them to Lion for various reasons. However, I have now been tasked with some App programming and need Lion. So, my question is - If we buy Lion from the App Store will we get a free upgrade to Mountain Lion?

Mountain Lion will be upgradable from Snow Leopard, so if you have not yet purchased Lion then it may be worth it to just wait and not go through two upgrades.
