Can I buy and install RAM for my G4? (and what else can I upgrade?)

someone already pointed me to crucial, and it recommended I buy two 512MB memory for a total of 1.5G (I have 512mb right now while running 10.5 and I am miserable)
should I go ahead and do this, or is there a better or different (or less expensive) option??
additionally, is there anything else I can upgrade on this PC? seems to me there's tons of room in there and lots of old hardware, if I can pimp this old guy out anymore I'd love to do it. until I upgraded the OS I had no complaints about this PC. it clearly needs help now!!
thanks in advance!
my specs:
Power Mac G4 (2.1) 933 MHz (Dual 1GHz SDRAM) Desktop/PC

Hi-
Bumping up the RAM will definitely help. Crucial is good, but you can also compare at OWC.
With Leopard, a graphics card that supports Core Image would be nice.
A Radeon 9800 Pro, Geforce 6800 GT or Ultra, or real fast, a Geforce 7800 GS.
Any card needs to be stated as Mac compatible, or a Mac Edition.
The Geforce cards would be flashed (PC cards converted to Mac) available on eBay.
If you buy from eBay, there are trustworthy, and not so, sellers. Make sure you check feedback.
Geforce cards from a G5 won't work in the Quicksilver or MDD.
A cheaper card option that supports Core Image, would be a Radeon 9600 or 9700, possibly a Geforce 6200 (again, flashed), though the 6200 can have trouble in Leopard.
A new hard drive is always a good way to gain better performance.
You can add USB 2.0 to your machine with the addition of a USB 2.0 PCI card. Any card that has the NEC chipset will work. These are available for as little as $15.
BTW, am a bit confused by your signature... a 933MHz machine is a QuickSilver 2002, as is a Dual 1.0 GHZ. There is also a dual 1.0 GHz MDD. Confirm your machine type Here.
