Can i buy online the mac snow leopard if i dont have the app world?

I want to updgarde my computer to the mac snow leopard 10.6 software in order to have the mac app world. The only problem is that i cant seem to find the online version of the snow leopard!

Snow Leopard has to be purchased on a DVD...there is no down load for it....

you can reset your password. restart, and hold down Command-s before the apple logo appears (when the screen is white). you will see scrolling scripts until you see something like "root:" then type /sbin/mount -uw / to mount the disk. after that, type sudo passwd admin or whatever your admin password is. type in the new password two times. it doesn't show what you typed when you type the password so make sure you are pressing the right keys. after you done that, type exit to start up the computer. now you will be able to login with the new password.

Is there a utility like defrag on the mac snow leopard?

I don't know if there is such a utility on the snow leopard os/ I want to see if I can defrag the disk, not repair (it is not broken). The only thing i see is the Disk Utility but it does not have any such utility.
Can someone point me in the write direction?

Update error on Acrobat 9.5.4 on the Mac Snow Leopard

Acrobat 9.5.4 is on my Mac running the latest update of Snow Leopard. The updater runs but errors occur. Error 1301.
I will be damned to reinstall. There are no guarantees that this will fix the problem.
Any suggestions here??

Updated to snow leopard now i dont have mail

I just updated to snow leopard... the best my 4 year old mac can go to... just so I can connect my iphone 5 to itunes.... now i find i do not have my mail.... grr...and its a saturday night...cant ring for help... anybody help me.. thanks

What Mail don't you have? Is that Mac Mail that is now missing? It's not in /Applications? Is it in some sub-folder there? If it is, then move it out in plain sight. Then run the 10.6.8 Combo Update.

Frequent crashing of Mac Snow Leopard 10.6.4 after the graphics update.

All, my mac has been experiencing severe stability issues as it crashes periodically every hour or so. This has been an extremly frustrating experience.
I have checked the system.log, kernel.log and all the messages in the console, but to no avail. ANy help would be greatly appreciated

SafeBoot your computer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564
While in SafeBoot remove Macintosh HD > Library > Caches and Your User > Library > Caches to the trash.
While in SafeBoot install the Combo update.
Restart the computer.

I had to change my apple ID due to someone else using it and changing the password, so now i can't sign out of icloud as the email is wrong and i dont have the password to turn off find my iphone. Help!

Basically, someone was hacking my apple account for a while and kept changing the password so i kept resetting it, now i've had to change my email as icloud still wouldn't accept my new passwords - even after being updated. Now i can't sign out of icloud due to it being the wrong email and an unknown previous password, as i can't turn off find my phone.ipad. How do i solve this without losing everything as i can't just delete the account and the usb ports on my laptop have gone so i can't back up to my laptop. I'm running completely on icloud but desperately need it to update so i don't lose all my uni work as well off my ipad.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

Yes you can. If the iMac meets the system requirements for Lion then you can boot it off the Lion disc (which is actually a USB drive, unless you download and burn it yourself).

It's probably not a 64-bit capable processor. Check in the Apple menu->About this Mac what it says your processor is. You need at least a Core 2 Duo.
