The USA Apple website says for no contract, and unlocked is from T-mobile. Will it work in Canada with Fido (uses sim card)? Has anyone tried doing this? The states is a lot cheaper in Canada for the Iphone 6. What will happen to the warranty/support?

At today's currency exchange rate the US phone ends up costing more and the US warranty is not valid in Canada so I don't see the advantage of buying state side even if you do have US currency. As for TMobile - Fido compatibility I have no idea.

I heard from friends the best phone reception in India is Nokia or Sony...because the call centres for both companies have call centres in India and they said the best receptions from cellphones/networks is via Nokia or Sony.
I fully support Apple I have many products but if you spend so much money on an iPhone 4S that didn't work out; why not spend time goggling India's network provider/carrier and do some research?!?

Apple Australia are selling the iPhone 3G for A$719, the iPhone 3Gs 16 GB for A$879, the iPhone 3Gs 32 GB for A$1040. No contract. After allowing for tax differences, at the moment these are around $100 more expensive than USA prices (Apple tend to set and keep prices relative to the date the item was released, regardless of further changes in exchange rates). This is about A$500 more than an equivalent iPod Touch, so you are paying a premium.
I am also contemplating buying a replacement iPhone without a phone contract, as most of the time I do not need to use the amount of call time required by a contract. I can already change my data package on a month to month basis. My use pattern is generally a couple of months with no real need for a phone, followed by slightly less than a month of intensive data use, usually in remote areas. Also my partner really, really wants to grab my existing iPhone to replace the iPod Touch she grabbed earlier. The extra iPhone facilities really do give it a decent edge over the iPod. In particular, the always present camera proved way more handy than I ever expected. So I am being encouraged to upgrade.
Still unknown is whether I can change SIM cards on an ad hoc basis. All major Australian phone companies sell iPhones (except most have stock shortages). Some carriers are only workable in major cities (but have cheap pre paid cards). Others are really expensive, but work well in country areas. Being able to run multiple appropriate SIM cards on different carriers would be really helpful.

If you want to use it in France and your tied to an American carrier you can still use it but it will cost a lot!! But I think what you mean is can you use it of you buy it out of an apple store the answer is yes of you buy an iPhone out of a apple store any where in the world it's unlocked so you can use it anywhere buy just putting in a different sim for a network in the county you want to use it in, the iPhone 5 up has the capability of LTE but it depends on your carrier if they roll it out if they do it will work. Only Apple stores & Apple's online store sell officially unlocked iPhones in the US...no where else. Yes, if you purchase such it will work just fine in Mexico. Your warranty/support will only be valid in the US though.
