Can i chang genre of all my music at once

Im a diehard country fan and i changed it all to country after downloading it, well their is a space after one of some of them and it would be easer to change them all at the same time, can i do that(it screws up the menus on my Ipod)

in your main library window, select all the songs you want to change. right-click the blue mass, and select "get info". say "yes" to the dialog box. type "Country" into the genre field in the screen you get to, and click OK. that will change them all at once to the same genre.

Double click on the screen Number in whcih Table control is placed.
Then Select the ELEMENT List Tab->place the cursor on the Table control and select the Atributes button in the Application toolbar.

Weird problem - can't change Genre all of the sudden

Okay, I have spent time searching this forum to see if this has been posted before but I do not see anything. And this is not the typical "I can't change song info" question, not that there is anything wrong with those. Anyways, my problem is a strange one, and is an issue I only recently started having.
My problem occurs only for albums/songs that I own that have Hip-Hop as the Genre. Recently I have noticed that when I pull up the Song Info, in the Genre field, it lists the Genre as follows:
[Hip-Hop/Rap
If I change the Genre to Hip-Hop and click OK, it seems to work, but if I actually go back to Song Info again, then it still has [Hip-Hop/Rap in the Genre field. Another weird thing is that I can change the Genre to Rap properly. But if I try to change it back to Hip-Hop after it has been successfully changed to Rap, then it shows up yet again as [Hip-Hop/Rap. Another weird thing is that even though it has [Hip-Hop/Rap listed as the Genre in the Song Info dialogue box, in the actual Genre column in my iTunes column (in Cover Flow mode or I guess any mode), it shows Hip-Hop as the Genre and not [Hip-Hop/Rap. In addition, I have noticed that if I have songs with the Genre field blank and try to change them to Hip-Hop, after clicking OK and going back to Song Info it shows the same old [Hip-Hop/Rap again.
One other weird thing--when I go to Windows Explorer and find the song and click Properties, it has the Genre listed as Hip-Hop correctly.

I guess that works, although it is kind of an annoying workaround. Wondering if anyone else has had the same problem? Wondering also if Apple takes not of bugs/issues/problems like this, especially ones that could be easily fixed?
Kind of tired of all these little bugs and quirks. Sure, this is not the end of the world, but the little ones add up, If not, I may have to bust out the old Zune--synch that puppy up to my brand new Galaxy II Nexus III Facebook Razor Google Adr*id phone (32 GB; on Andr*ids 32 GB = 32 GB; weird). Get all 4G LTE up in here. Have the ability to delete old text messages.

My iphone is showing 1077 songs but on itunes only 459 are showing, how can i sync it so all my music from my iphone gets into my library. They were all there previously....

i am having real trouble with finding where all my music has gone from my library. All the songs in my library are on my iphone but when i connect my iphone to itunes the library only shows 459 songs. How can i get all mu music from my phone and itunes into my library?

You may be able to extract the hard drive from the broken computer, mount it in an external drive bay and recover the library from it. Otherwise see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

How can you sort without adding all the music to iTunes?

I'm an older person and I don't get it. At first I just had a shuffle and I downloaded specific songs into iTunes that I liked. Then I upgraded. I loaded a whole bunch of cd's into various libraries at various times on an external hard drive. Now, I have a ton of music and would love an easy way to organize it! There are lots of duplicates and lots of songs I just don't like. The trouble is, I haven't figured out how to just see a list of all the songs and sort and delete from the list. I have to open a library and then I get a bunch of file folders of an album or two. Then I have to open the album to see the songs. If I forget what the song sounds like and I click on it to play it, the album goes automatically into iTunes. I don't have enough room on my pc for all that music to go right into iTunes. Do you get my question?? Can you help me?

When you play a song with iTunes, it automatically gets added to the library, as you noticed.
If you just want to play the song so you can decide whether to keep or delete it, use another player. You may already have Windows Media Player on your machine. If not you can download Winamp.
When you are done sorting, add the ones you want into your iTunes library

How can I change file to Podcast from Music or Audiobook?

I am frustrated with how some of my files are automatically categorized. For example, I listen to podcasts of This American Life on my iPod. If I purchase them, they show up as Audiobooks. If I get them from the podcast, they show up under Podcasts. If I get them from CD, they show up as music. How can I move them so they are all in the same place. I thought maybe I could drag them, but that doesn't work.

Thanks! I didn't know about that. Unfortunately, "Podcast" isn't an option. So if it's something I normally get as a podcast, but occasionally get from another source, is there a way to put the files under Podcast? Or do I need to move it all to Music in order to have it consolidated?

I can't change the view/order of music on my iPhone in iTunes.

So, my iPhone is plugged into my MacBook Pro. iTunes is open, the iPhone is in my left column. I select the "Music" sub-cat under my iPhone, which shows me the songs on my iPhone. I cannot change the view or order in which the songs are listed. So I can't sort by name, or artist or album. It appears to be locked on genre, and only the standard list view is available.
I've restarted the phone. I've changed all sorts of setting in iTunes preferences. I am able to add songs, but I can only delete if I go into the "manually added songs" list.
I think this was an issue before I upgraded to Lion. Any ideas?

To Reset your Photo Stream, follow these instructions:
From a computer browser, go to icloud.com and sign in.
Click on your name on the iCloud home page (this is the page that shows all the app icons). If you do not see your name, click the cloud icon in the top left of the page.

Can't change audio speed on imported music

I have filmed a disco and am now editting it. The noise on the original music is too distorted, so am over-dubbing with original tracks from CD for personal use. Everything is fine, except for one or two tracks, where the DJ has speeded the originals up for mixing purposes.
So I import 'Like a Prayer' from iTunes and stick it in the timeline, but it's not in sync with people singing and dancing because it's slower than the version the DJ has played, When I try altering the speed of the audi (cmd J etc), it doesn't make any difference to the actual speed - the clip shortend (ie by half if I change the speed to 200%) but the actual music doesn't change in a BPM sense - the clip just plays later in the track. I often change the speed of audeio clips associated with video, so can't understand why this isn't working - I've tried to dot the same on various mp3 tracks I've imported and they all respond this way - i.e. the speed doesn't change. Any ideas?

I think you should use .aif files, not .mp3.
If you import .mp3 music, first you have to render it, and then you cannot change its speed (even though the clip waveforms in the timeline make you believe it did).
With .aif everything should work as expected speed changes included.

Why can't I just load all my music onto my iPod

I hesitantly got iTunes match and only because songs were not loading on my iPod because apple thought that I stole them. Some of those songs were loaded from CD's years ago and the CD's have long since been discarded or sold, some of those songs are original recordings I made (using my mac and apple software not less). They appear now with iTunes match, but my library won't load onto my iPod or phone and I'm not always around wifi (or wanting to use my data) to stream playlists…. why is it apple assumes we are all able to get onto wifi all the time in order to run our devices. I just want my music and my playlists to load onto my devices to I can play my music without having to select each individual song and loading it on while I'm on a wifi network. I would also like my songs to be intact, most stop half way through which makes for awkward moments when you're listening to the road trip mix you made and the songs stop halfway through.
iTunes match is a misfire and I'm sad that I'm paying for a service that made listening to music on my device a pain. This stuff used to be easy and intuitive and now its just frustrating.

The sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases

Can I change color of all objects at ones ?

I understand that's very fundamental question, and I promise I search the forum prior to posting, but perhaps it's my bad english and wrong phrasing, that leads to poor results. So if that has been discuss, please kindly don't waste your time, just link me to the post and I will read away.
I have very complex file, with hundreds of paths, shapes, text, outlined text, etc... It's a brochure with graphs, scematich drawings and text.
Last moment, the client like the reverse the colors from (current) Black on white, to all White on dark gray background.
Problem is, I can't seem to find easy way to just change the colors, without selecting one by one, every single object. When I selest all and choose white, it start filling paths with solid fill... Editing it wastes allot of my time and I have many pages to do.
Is there any way to simple change color of everything at once, just from black to white ? Or do I have to go object by object manually ?

The INVERT work on some images.
The "SAME" seem to work funny way. When I select STROKE COLOR, it does nothing, but when I select WIGHT then it does and in fact I'm able to change lots of strokes at once with ease. Even tho I'm left with few small bits here and there which I need to change manually, it is certainly far better than doing one by one.

By the way I not once used the SAME menu. Feel so lame, given I use AI (not daily but often) for few years now... Shame.

How can I change "iTunes Library" to "iTunes Music Library"?

i use iTunes as my muisc-pool and a DiscoXT as DJ-programm. There is the possibility to use my iTunes Music Library there in form of the "iTunes Muisc Library.xml". now iTunes created a new Library called "iTunes Library.itl" and "iTunes Library.xml". The "iTunes Music Library.xml" now is not actauized since Dec 2011. How to come back to the "iTunes Music Library.xml" as actualized in iTunes and so also actualized in Disco XT?
How can I create this in iTunes?

You cannot change the name of the .itl file iTunes creates. Attempting to do so will almost certainly cause iTunes to fail. And iTunes automatically creates the XML file and there's no way to change the name of the file it creates.
If Disco XT uses the XML file, as most such applications do, you could probably make a copy of the iTunes Library.xml file and rename the copy as necessary. That copy will probably then work, though you'll have to make a new copy any time you make a change in iTunes. Otherwise, the developers of Disco XT will need to change the application to look for both versions of the file name, if they have not done so already; consult with the developer's support.

Can not change genre info for my apps

I noticed that iTunes 9.2.1 has assigned a genre to my Apps and this allows me to sort them which is good. What is bad is that some of the applications have been assigned the wrong genre and when I go to change it, it isn't possible to do so.
Anyone else having the same problem ?
Note that I don't have this problem with Music, Books or Video as some others have reported. Just with Apps.
Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Originally my daughter-in-law used her credit card to pay for a year for me. Then I cancelled it because it wouldn't work with an adapter and the Skype phone echoed so bad no one wanted to talk to me. Now it logs me on with her name. I asked how to change it....forget it no answer. Now it added people from Facebook that I didn't want and I cant remove them. This tells me I might want to pay for Ooma instead when I decide which long distance service I want.
