Not with the ExportPDF service.
You can convert Word documents to PDF with our CreatePDF service or with our desktop application, Adobe Acrobat.

The conversion is the primary function of Acrobat. Other functions include forms and related issue. Reader is simply a reader and can not convert anything. You can download the trial version if you like, though many folks have trouble getting rid of it after the trial, strange as that might seem -- only reporting on what has been reported by others.

  • How can I transfer a word doc to iBooks

    Hello everyone,
When I get an attachment on an email, like a word doc or a PDF, is it possible to move that to iBooks for easy viewing at a later time, and as a sort of filing system. I only seem to have the option of printing the Doc.
Thank you, I am using an iPad2.

I bought into the argument that Apple was a good company but now am beginning to change my mind. The attitude that blocks my IPad from using the Kindle app to purchase directly from the Kindle store, or from reading my IBooks on my Mac or Macbook Pro, is so anti-consumer as to be a blatant disregard for those who purchase IPads.
Add this with the efforts to keep the Samsung Tab off the market and it produces a pretty sad picture.

  • How can I edit a word doc received in my icloud mailbox on my ipad?

how can I edit a word doc received in my icloud mailbox on my ipad?

You need a compatible app in which to save it such as Pages or Documents to Go.
Find an app that is compatible with Word that you want to purchase and then after you download that app - go to that email and you can select the "open In" option. Tap and hold down on the open document in the email and select "open In' and select the app that you purchased.

  • I can't edit existing Word docs

I can't edit existing Word docs with *any* of the five Word-processing apps I downloaded (free). I can edit documents I started on my ipad, but not on my computer. I can view them just fine though. Is there an app that lets me edit existing docs, which I've transferred from pc? Or, is my ipad 2 broken?

You don't tell us what version of Office for Mac you presently have, but I'm guessing it might be Office for Mac 2004. If so, in addition to the suggestion to download OpenOffice you can purchase the most recent version of Office for Mac 2011 directly from MS <http://www.microsoft.com/mac/buy>. You can also purchase Pages productivity suite from the Mac App Store <http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pages/id409201541?mt=12>.

  • Can you change the wording of a text that someone sent you ?

my sister sent someone a text , they in turn showed me on their phone with her name/number at the top of the feed  to prove she said something to this person about this certain subject . She is denying everything in this text and said he altered it to show me what he wanted me to see . Can you change the wording on a text sent from someone in their feed with their name/number at the top of the feed? Does this make sense ? What I do know is , you can copy and paste and change the wording when sending that text to someone else , but he showed me his own phone with these incriminating texts.

    No you can't

  • How can I change the page size of a pdf so i can view it on my iphone more clearly?

How can I change the page size of a pdf so i can view it on my iphone more clearly?

I think there may be more to this question than you say.
If your PDF page is say, 8 x 12 inches, and you found a way to scale it to 25%, changing it to 2 x 3 inch, shrinking everything on the page to quarter size - wouldn't it look exactly the same on the iPhone? It's just going to be the same as zooming.
Or were you hoping for something more like in Word, where changing the page size keeps everything the same size and spreads it over more pages? That isn't something you can do.

  • How to setup word docs, converted to PDF on local drive with links to a second file at a page

how to setup word docs, converted to PDF on local drive with links to a second file at a page
Need to setup a set of word documents, converted to PDF that has links from one file to a second file at a given page.
I would like to setup a set of pdf documents, on the hard disk of a PC or Mac, that can be open with acrobat pro running on the same computer and have the link jump to, and open in a new window, in acrobat pro, to a given page of a second document in the set.
Is there a way to setup a link in word and the conversion to pdf that will result in a link that is equivalent to the acrobat link type  you get when you add a link of the type Go to a page in another document?
    Tools-Advanced Editing-Link tool, make a box
Check: Go to page view, Next (Create go to view dialog opens)
Open second document and go to page
Click “Create go to view dialog” to set up link
Result is a link, when view by link properties, with an action of
Go to a page in another document
    File: C:\My Documents\second file.pdf
    Page: 43
    Zoom level: Custom
I got close but did not solve the problem:
I have a version that uses links to a website, using #page=43 at the end of the hyperlink.
That works but will only open to the page if is through the web browser, opening the acrobat reader plugin.
I need to open from a folder on the local harddisk (with relative links), in acrobat pro to the given page of the pdf, on a PC or a Mac.
I could bookmark each page “pagenumberxxx” and jump to the bookmark/page if that would get around some problem
Current Systems in use to create documents with links and view them:
    Windows XP SP3
    Word 2003 SP3
    Acrobat 9 pro version 9.4.4
    Or just to view them:
Mac OS 10 Lion version 10.7.4
    Acrobat 9 pro version 9.5.1
(note I have limited understanding of Mac’s)
    John

No.  There seems to be no automated way to do it.  You can of course go into the PDF and manually add links after you have converted to PDF, but that is what we want to avoid having to do.  We want it to be automatic from the Word doc.

  • Link to a Word doc in a PDF is not opening the doc in Internet Exlorer 8

I have a PDF created in Acrobat 9 Pro, I have given a link to a word doc. The PDF and link is working perfectly on browsers other than Internet Explorer 8.
In IE-8 Even if allow to open the doc when prompted, nothing happens.
    How can I fix this?

Dropbox has a convenient feature to preview DOC files as PDFs in Firefox's built-in PDF viewer. It's convenient but can lead to this problem that you end up downloading the document as a PDF instead of a DOC file.
As long as the recipient uses the Download button on Dropbox's toolbar above the viewer (see attached screen shot comparison), the recipient should get the original format instead of the preview.
    Is that the issue?
