Can i change color mode in keynote?

Whenever I import pictures or logos to keynote, the colors turn out really skewed as from how they should look like.
COuld someone please tell me what might be wrong and how I can fix that? I have tried several differnt options when I export files from illustrator. Strange thing is, they llok perfect in Finder and Preview.

I have just had the same issue. I am importing a logo I have created in Illustrator, which was done in RGB with specific values. The following methods all produced result that was different than the source…
-Copy/paste the logo from Illustrator with sRGB profile active in the document, and with no profile, with the same result.
-Placing the EPS directly was different again.
-Placing an AI file with embedded sRGB profile. No good either.
I also usually generate a PNG for client to use and when placing this into Keynote the colours were correct. The PNG was created in Illustrator with sRBG profile active. This worked for me, but I have seen other say it does not.
I've seen someone else claim changing the colour profile in Photoshop etc to the same one used by your screen will fix the shift, as Keynote supposedly uses the profile you have in system prefs. I tried this and it made no difference.
I assume the issue is colour profile conversion, but see no method that fixes it. Other than PNG.

Can I change color balance/tones in shadows/highlights only?

Let's say RGB #s tell me the blacks in my image have too much blue or the whites too much yellow, red, etc.
With Lightroom, can I change color balance in just the shadows or highlights separately? I know I can in CS3, just can't figure out how in LR.

You can use the Split Toning panel (see attachment). If the problem is in the deep shadows drag the balance to -90 or lower (-90 to -100), drag the saturation slider until you see the image appearance changing, then adjust hue slider until the colour cast is balance out. You may need to pull saturation back towards zero a tad after hue is adjusted. For highlights push the balance to positive values.

I totally understand what you are saying and I rarely take an argumentative approach in this forum, but what I am trying to point out to the OP is that you cannot create different colors for "events" in one single calendar.

All invisibles are rectangles, and can't change color in prefs. Que pasa?

Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? All invisibles are superscript rectangles and I can't change the invisibles color in Pages General Preferences.
I bought, then installed, the serial number over the '09 trial today. This is the first time I've seen this problem. So I reinstalled iWork. Same problem.
This did not come up in the trial, nor in '08.
Do I need to trash the prefs?
I can't work without invisibles, so this is really annoying.

I haven't heard about the problem either so we have to start somewhere.
Have you restarted your computer lately?
Start with deleting the com.apple.iwork.pages.plist from the User > Library > Preferences. Pages will create a new plist file. If you have the same problem in Keynotes and Numbers delete the plist files too.
If it doesn't work you can delete the iwork'09 folder in Macintosh HD > Library > Application support. Reinstall iWork and add the serial number again.
Create a new account (System preferences > Accounts) and try Pages in that account. does it work?

There are various ways to colorize a B/W, but the advantage of the Hue/Saturation layer is this: if you want to later change the color, simply double-click the layer thumbnail to bring up the Hue/Sauration box again.
Another benefit of an adjustment layer (not only Hue/Saturation) is that you can paint the layer with black to reveal the original picture, and paint with white to restore the adjustment. This method works, for example, if you want to colorize just certain portions of your B/W.
One more thing. If the picture is a true greyscale you will first have to convert it to RGB: Image>Mode>RGB Color

Cannot change Color mode

Hello,
I was provided a file from a customer that is RGB. I need to change it to cmyk for printing. HOwever I cannot change the color mode. All my options in the Mode section under Image are greyed out. I have never seen this happen before.. Here is a screen shot of the Mode.
The image has been flattened. I am using PS cs6 on a mac. I have never seen this happen before. Does any one have any ideas?

Strange. Could the file permissions be set to lock you out?
In the Finder, do a Get Info in the file and look at the permissions. If at the bottom, your name says "read only," then you need to change the permissions to allow you to read AND write.
To change permissions, use BatChmod, but be careful to change the permissions on that file ONLY.

Can't see color mode in .ai files

Is Bridge not supposed to show detailed information about illustrator files?
I'm trying to view the color mode of ai files, but I can't get them to show.
I would think that it being a long-standing Adobe app that Bridge would allow it.
Any ideas?

You'll need to provide some better specifics.
I brought it in from final cut 6 as a quicktime output.
Did you use the Send To Color command from within Final Cut?
I'm going to suspect that your problems are a result of using a Mac Mini. Color requires the use of a graphics card, not an integrated graphics chipset (like those found in Mac Minis and MacBooks).

Can I change color of all objects at ones ?

I understand that's very fundamental question, and I promise I search the forum prior to posting, but perhaps it's my bad english and wrong phrasing, that leads to poor results. So if that has been discuss, please kindly don't waste your time, just link me to the post and I will read away.
I have very complex file, with hundreds of paths, shapes, text, outlined text, etc... It's a brochure with graphs, scematich drawings and text.
Last moment, the client like the reverse the colors from (current) Black on white, to all White on dark gray background.
Problem is, I can't seem to find easy way to just change the colors, without selecting one by one, every single object. When I selest all and choose white, it start filling paths with solid fill... Editing it wastes allot of my time and I have many pages to do.
Is there any way to simple change color of everything at once, just from black to white ? Or do I have to go object by object manually ?

The INVERT work on some images.
The "SAME" seem to work funny way. When I select STROKE COLOR, it does nothing, but when I select WIGHT then it does and in fact I'm able to change lots of strokes at once with ease. Even tho I'm left with few small bits here and there which I need to change manually, it is certainly far better than doing one by one.

By the way I not once used the SAME menu. Feel so lame, given I use AI (not daily but often) for few years now... Shame.

Display changes color mode after restart.

I recently turned off my computer for a couple days and when I restarted my iMac screen is displaying in a strange color mode. It looks like the contrast is turned up and the color depth is in 256 color mode. I've gone into the preferences and tried about eveything I can think of but nothing switches it back to normal.
When I restart, everything goes back to normal for about 3 seconds and then it switches back to this strange display settings again.
I'm stumped, any help would be appreciated.

Check the settings in Apple menu > System Preferences...> Universal Access > Seeing.

You can do that by going to iCloud, select Calendar. Then you'll see on the left side where it says Calendars (under the cloud mark) click Edit, and you can add other Topics and customze them to the color you want:)

CS6 InDesign- can't change colors, text, etc.?

My CS6 InDesign is having some major issues. I'm currently unable to change colors, text, photos, at times I can't even select the selection tool itself. I recently got so frustrated I wiped it from my PC and re-installed it... and STILL have the same problems.
