I have a Jpeg file that is a black on white drawing. Can I change it to blue on white?

There are various ways to colorize a B/W, but the advantage of the Hue/Saturation layer is this: if you want to later change the color, simply double-click the layer thumbnail to bring up the Hue/Sauration box again.
Another benefit of an adjustment layer (not only Hue/Saturation) is that you can paint the layer with black to reveal the original picture, and paint with white to restore the adjustment. This method works, for example, if you want to colorize just certain portions of your B/W.
One more thing. If the picture is a true greyscale you will first have to convert it to RGB: Image>Mode>RGB Color

Can I change color balance/tones in shadows/highlights only?

Let's say RGB #s tell me the blacks in my image have too much blue or the whites too much yellow, red, etc.
With Lightroom, can I change color balance in just the shadows or highlights separately? I know I can in CS3, just can't figure out how in LR.
I use Win XP.

You can use the Split Toning panel (see attachment). If the problem is in the deep shadows drag the balance to -90 or lower (-90 to -100), drag the saturation slider until you see the image appearance changing, then adjust hue slider until the colour cast is balance out. You may need to pull saturation back towards zero a tad after hue is adjusted. For highlights push the balance to positive values.

I totally understand what you are saying and I rarely take an argumentative approach in this forum, but what I am trying to point out to the OP is that you cannot create different colors for "events" in one single calendar.

Sometimes I think this is what users want to do - differentiate the different "Events" within a single calendar - and that cannot be done - at least AFAIK.
I didn't mean to cause confusion nor was I trying to complicate things. I just thought that I was giving a complete answer as to how the feature works.
After all - I could have just used the "please get the iPAD user guide" line. I just love that response.

I understand that's very fundamental question, and I promise I search the forum prior to posting, but perhaps it's my bad english and wrong phrasing, that leads to poor results. So if that has been discuss, please kindly don't waste your time, just link me to the post and I will read away.
I have very complex file, with hundreds of paths, shapes, text, outlined text, etc... It's a brochure with graphs, scematich drawings and text.
Last moment, the client like the reverse the colors from (current) Black on white, to all White on dark gray background.
Problem is, I can't seem to find easy way to just change the colors, without selecting one by one, every single object. When I selest all and choose white, it start filling paths with solid fill... Editing it wastes allot of my time and I have many pages to do.
Is there any way to simple change color of everything at once, just from black to white ? Or do I have to go object by object manually ?

The INVERT work on some images.
The "SAME" seem to work funny way. When I select STROKE COLOR, it does nothing, but when I select WIGHT then it does and in fact I'm able to change lots of strokes at once with ease. Even tho I'm left with few small bits here and there which I need to change manually, it is certainly far better than doing one by one.

By the way I not once used the SAME menu. Feel so lame, given I use AI (not daily but often) for few years now... Shame.

All invisibles are rectangles, and can't change color in prefs. Que pasa?

Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? All invisibles are superscript rectangles and I can't change the invisibles color in Pages General Preferences.
I bought, then installed, the serial number over the '09 trial today. This is the first time I've seen this problem. So I reinstalled iWork. Same problem.
This did not come up in the trial, nor in '08.
Do I need to trash the prefs?
I can't work without invisibles, so this is really annoying.

I haven't heard about the problem either so we have to start somewhere.
Have you restarted your computer lately?
Start with deleting the com.apple.iwork.pages.plist from the User > Library > Preferences. Pages will create a new plist file. If you have the same problem in Keynotes and Numbers delete the plist files too.
If it doesn't work you can delete the iwork'09 folder in Macintosh HD > Library > Application support. Reinstall iWork and add the serial number again.
Create a new account (System preferences > Accounts) and try Pages in that account. does it work?

You can do that by going to iCloud, select Calendar. Then you'll see on the left side where it says Calendars (under the cloud mark) click Edit, and you can add other Topics and customze them to the color you want:)

CS6 InDesign- can't change colors, text, etc.?

My CS6 InDesign is having some major issues. I'm currently unable to change colors, text, photos, at times I can't even select the selection tool itself. I recently got so frustrated I wiped it from my PC and re-installed it... and STILL have the same problems.

Change color of vector shape in library with AS?

Hello, I am working on a project that some one else created. There were very orgainized, but my question is this: There is a starburst shape, and in the property inspector it is labeling as yellow burst, and that's how it shows in the library. But one instance of it is red in the movie, and I can not find it to change or delete as they called everything dynamically. Any help on how this was done, or how I might locate this object? thanks

How can I change colors in a two color image?

Hi, I have an image of grass photographed close up for use in a packaging project. I have already changed the image from continuous tone to a black & white using hue and saturation for making film positives. However, for client presentation I need to convert the bitmapped image to a green on white image. I want to change the black to green but leave the white as white. I have tried inverting and using the selection wand without success. I have tried > select > color range and tried to separate the line shapes and dots without success. The bitmapped image has the appearance of a coarse mezzotint. I don't think the color replacement tool is appropriate as it would take forever to do.
Any help really appreciated.

Have you tried using Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Gradient Map (on an RGB image)?
