Does anyone know how to change the focus from the properties
window
back to the main design window in Dreamweaver 8?
What I am trying to do is the very common task of repeatedy
making a
bit of text into a link. In Dreamweaver 4 (oldskool!) you can
highlight
the text, copy it, click on the link box in the properties
window,
paste in the text and hey presto, you've got a link. What you
can then
do is Alt+tab back to set the focus back to the main design
window.
This is really very handy indeed and having to use the mouse
to click
back in the design window to give it focus back is a right
pain in the
derrier.
So, have I explained my needs competently? And if so, can
anyone help?
I am currently considering going back to using DW4 as it
makes the work
I'm going so much faster.
I'd hoped you could do Alt+W, up-arrow, Enter to get back and
was then
going to look into automating that key combo somehow.
Unfortunately alt+w doesn't work when the properties window has the
focus.

This can be relatively straightforward:
A bar of 3/2 will be twice as long as a bar of 3/4 (at the same tempo). Convert the Time Sig to 3/4, then "timestretch" all the MIDI regions using the Option tool to make them 1/2 as long.

I am fimilar with changing the setting for all network partitions(defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteNetworkStores true), but that is undesirable when I connect my laptop to my home network. A preferable solution would be where I could control the writing of these files based on disk format (NTFS vs HFS+).

Go to MacUpdate or CNET Downloads and search for ds_store. There are numerous utilities for preventing them from being transferred to Windows systems.

If you want to open the "Get Info" panel in the center of your screen, define the following Automator service and install it in the "Services" Folder of your User Library. This service will be available when you ctrl-click a file or folder in the pop-up menu and it will open the "Get Info" in the center of the screen.
Open Automator and select New -> Service.
Select: Service receives "files or Folders" in "Finder.app"
Drag a "Run Apple script" action from the Actions pane -> Utilities onto the Workflow
Paste the following script into the action, after (* Your script goes here *) and before "return input"

                    set {d1, d2, d3, d4} to (get bounds of window of desktop)
open information window of item input
                    set {i1, i2, i3, i4} to (get bounds of information window 1)

Save the service and name it e.g. "centeredGetInfo". It will be installed in your library -> Services.
Now you can ctrl-click any File or Folder, and in the Services Section of the pop-up menu you will see your new service "centeredGetInfo", also in File ->Services in the Finder, when you select a Finder item.
You can bind this service to a keyboard shortcut in the keyboard preferences and use it like the standard "Get Info"

I would like to receive email on the iphone with attachments and then sync the attachments to a Windows XP PC with Outlook 2007 without Outlook 2007 having to connect to the mail server itself and having to separely download the attachment. Is this possible?
I have only tried one pdf file which downloaded wonderfully to the iPhone. I synced to the PC without the PC being connected to the email account. This also worked except that when I tried to open the attachment on the PC I got a message that the mail wasn't fully downloaded. When I went on=line on the PC, it downloaded the attachment. I would love to have this option because I can't access some email accounts from my corporate computer.

No it is not. The only information synced regarding email accounts is the email account information only and this is in one direction only - from your computer to the iPhone via iTunes.

If they were taken with the iPad, simply plug in the iPad, and it should appear as a regular digital camera in Windows Explorer or in Control Panel/Devices and Printers.

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. You can now go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your correct iCloud ID and password.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to have them reset the password so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account.
