HI all, I have Mail 3.6 (936) and would like to see the opened mail in a vertical column on the right side of screen, instead of below the message list-is this possible?

Can I change the layout of an IconItemRenderer?

I've started working on a mobile application in Flex 4.5.1
I'm using IconItemRenderer to display elements inside a draggable list.
Problem is, the IconItemRenderer has a very specific layout:
Icon on the left, title on the right and message at the bottom.
If I want to place an image in the middle and have a textfield on each side it's not possible.
My question is, can I change the layout of an IconItemRenderer, if not, how can achieve the layout I've stated earlier in an element inside a draggable list?

IconItemRenderer doesn't have a generic spark layout like other spark containers. Instead it manually sizes and positions its elements for best performance.
If you want to customize how these elements are positioned you will want to subclass IconItemRenderer and override the measure() and layoutContents() methods.

I have a problem sending mail via smtp. I use a satellite system and the average return time for a ping is 675ms. Is this a problem with mail? If so can I change Mail to accept it. The problem also exists with Lion

I solved it myself, after the "note" which came back from FF/Mozilla just as I finished my message, commenting on what it was that my system had , I wnnt back to check my plug-ins etc. I downloaded the latest Java, BOTH 32bit AND 64 bit versions and latest Firefox.
Now all is working.

How can I change a layout margin to print?

Many thanks for the last bit of info. However, I designed a card to have .5" margins all round, but the right margin on the layout shows an extra 1/8th of an inch greater on the right margin than the .5" margin showing everywhere else. Why can I not change this margin. I designed a greeting card with a border on both sides of the card, and they don't match cause I can't change this one right side margin. I have looked on all the layout menus to see if there is a reason and just cannot find it. Any clues?

I'm not sure if you're doing this in landscape view, but that could explain it. Many printers, especially ink jets, have a bigger bottom or trailing margin than the lead margin. The documentation that came with your printer may list minimum margins. Once you find which is the bigger, set both margins to that amount. Unfortunately, that may be bigger than you want.

I got an user who can't change the worklist layout (hide/show fields) because the administrator button is missing.

No access to S_ALV_LAYO, can still change a layout

End user is executing transaction ME2S and is able to change layout. When I checked he does have access to authorization object S_ALV_LAYO. I did a system trace and the authorization object is checked, gets a return code of 12. This authrization object is not being loaded into the user buffer, also in the system trace screen the line with this auth object is light green instead of dark green like the rest.
Please check and suggest why this is happening and how this can be restricted.

From your post I understand that
1. User is able to change the layout
2. User profile has access to S_ALV_LAYO
3. But still Trace is showing a non-zero return code for S_ALV_LAYO
4. You want to restrict access to change layout for the user
If this is the scenario, then try deactivating the object in all the available roles of the user, do a user comparision and see if he is still able to change the layout.
Do let me know the outcome.

Can't change keyboard layout

I've bought my new Macbook when i traveled to US, though i live in Brazil. I just want my keyboard to have a brazilian layout, with the special characters, and stuff. I've already tried to go to International > Input Menu, and change its configuration, but even though the brazilian flag appears on my right-upper side of the screen, it doesn't change the keyboard layout at all!
I've set my Mac OS X Leo to be fully in English, 'cause i thought it wouldn't be a problem changing the layout. I don't want the whole software in portuguese, 'cause it really doesn't looks good. Some words are forgotten and other weird things happen. And I don't want the US layout keyboard all the time, 'cause i need to write some stuff in portuguese too.
Anyone has any sugestions? Anything to do with the initial setup?

Most of my questions still remain unanswered.But this time i hope i will get some satisfactory reply. I want to create a Discussion iView(not Discussion group or Admin Discussion Group iViews) . However i am not getting the layout used here.I want to remove buttons like "Add To Favourites" Subscribe TO Discussion" and also ,once you click on any topic ,on the second screen commands like "Send To","Subscribe" etc .I want this to look simple as per requirement.How is that possible? Where exactly can i find them ? If there is any xml file ,where to find the XML file ?I do not know how to use NWDS ,as i work in KM and Collaboration area .SO if there is anyone who can guide me from configuraion point of view.I can also open the XML file and do the changes but how to execute it I do not know.Thanks in advance for any valuable input.

How can I change the layout on this JDialog?

Hi , I have the following Dialog with some content. As of now, the line after the separator is displayed in two lines. I was looking for a way to show that in one line and change the column widths a bit so that the rest of the content can each be shown on one line as well, according to the look and feel of a table.

I'm trying to configure the Input Hot-plugging on Xorg 1.8 but the keyboard layout is still on US keyboard and I need to change it.
I use some of the configurations of some people of the forum but it still on US, now my 10-evdev-conf file is like this:

How can i change Picture layout

When I want to change a page layout as I want 2 photos on a page the selection is a choice of 4 but the page layout is on page 20 of the photos on top of page. Hope this makes sense,
I would like to know what size the pictures will be how can I find this out

What theme are you using? Often when a layout shows two frames that are landscape they will change to portrait if a portrait photo is dragged into it. Have you experimented with that?

Can I change TOC layout in each chapter

I want to place my chapter name in different location in TOC. As you can see from picture below my text at the top mess with my picture. If I move text box, it will effect other chapter text box too. Can I edit text box individually?

iBooks Author has a default layout for the TOC chapter page. There is a half page image placeholder on the right, leaving the other half page clear of clutter and showing the Chapter - Section text clearly.
You appear to have increased the font size to cover around 75% of the page width and placed an image to cover the full page. All this is OK, except you created your image and it clashes with the text.
If you want clarity, either change of redraw the image to move the clash with your text, or reduse or move your text. The font size can be reduced a few points and moved about the outline on your drawing. You could also change the font colour to a stronger colour to contrast the colours on your drawing.

Can we change the layout of the JAVATABLE to accomdate to the set Screen Resolution??

Using Oracle Express 6.3.4 we are creating dataview(OLAP)in Web.
We have set the background of the page calling a particular gif file.
Now that the tool bar and Javatable color(Grey is the default colour) is not matching with the background of the gif file.
I tried my best to change the color as a whole.But ended up in changing some portion of the layout like the pageedge,rowedge & columnedge colour in the JAVA TABLE.
Can some one throw light on this???Is it possible to change the background of the whole applet to our likes.

Nanda, you are right, there are certain areas of the table where you cannot change the color. There is currently no property for this.

How can i change mail id as primary administrator

wanted to change my id as primary administrator for centralised control on the licensing . as I have to in my login two records of company ID which can be common?

If the CC for team is an indirect purchase i.e through a re seller,then you can contact Adobe Support to change the primary Admin.
If the purchase of the CC for Team is from Adobe store directly, in such purchases the primary Admin can not be changed however secondary admin can be added.
There are certain privileges attached to the primary admin console like billing information.
You can cancel this CC & repurchase new CC for Team with the desired Primary Admin. The members just have to unassigned from their seat & then on fresh purchase , they have to send invite again.
The users just have to sign out & sign back in once they accept the new CCT order invite.
