Can I change my Portlets directory root ?

Can you help me about Portlets ?
I create a portlet on a directory different of the JPDK directory that was
installed.
But when I try execute this portlet, inside the Oracle Portal, it doesn't
works !!!
If I try to verify if the portlet is active using JSP outside the Portal, it
works !!!
Then, I've a doubt :
"Can I put my portlets on another directory that isn't the original
DirectoryRoot ( .../htdocs/) ?"
I've already tried change the "virtual path" on the provider.xml but it doens't
works, too.
P.S. - I've created a specific zone on the Apache to execute my programs,
and also the alias "MyAlcoa_Pages".
See below the error that shows me :
(Note that it is searching in a wrong path !!! The correct is E:\MyAlcoa_Pages\helloworld ....)
Request URI:/MyAlcoa_Pages/helloworld/MyFirstPortlet.jsp
Exception:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: e:\software\ias\apache\apache\htdocs\MyAlcoa_Pages\helloworld\MyFirstPortlet.jsp (The system cannot find the path specified)
at java.io.FileInputStream.open
(Native Method)
Thanks

Are all of your paths correct in the provider.xml file? Check the <appPath> and <appRoot> settings.

  • How can I change my "Home directory" folder name?

    Hello, everyone.
    I was given a pre-owned MacBook Pro that's running OS 10.6.8.  How can I change the name on the Home directory folder?  I was able to change the Administrator Account settings, but the Home directory still shows the previous owner's name.  It bothers me a bit, though, to see the previous owner's name still come up on the Home folder.
    I came across the instruction listed below, but I can't get past step 4.  It instructs me "rename it just like I would rename any folder."  I can't seem to rename it, though.  The cursor doesn't come up when I click on the folder name.
    For Mac OS X v10.5 or later
    Enable the root user.
    Log in as root.
    Navigate to the /Users folder.
    Select the Home folder with the short name you want to change, and rename it just like you would rename any folder. Keep in mind that the shortname must be all lowercase, with no spaces, and only contain letters.
    Use the Users & Groups pane (Accounts pane in Mac OS X v10.6.8 or earlier) in System Preferences to create a new user with the Account name or Short Name that you used in the previous step.
    Click OK when "A folder in the Users folder already has the name 'account name'. Would you like to use that folder as the Home folder for this user account?" appears. Note: This will correct the ownership of all files in the Home folder, and avoid permissions issues with the contents.
    Choose Log Out from the Apple menu.
    Log in as the newly created user. You should be able to access all of your original files (on the desktop, in Documents, and in the other folders of this Home).
    After verifying that your data is as expected, you can delete the original user account via the Users & Groups pane (Accounts pane in Mac OS X v10.6.8 or earlier).
    Disable the root user.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi everyone,
    I followed this https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3872
    and got to the stage of having renamed my Home folder with the new name but the Home folder is STILL designated to the old name?
    When I try and create a new user with the new name, I don't get asked if I'd like to use the existing name as Home folder, I get told I can't use the newname because it exists already - thats the end of it - no further options.
    So to clarify - I now have oldname folder STILL assigned as Home folder. A newname folder with all my stuff in - apps, desktop, etc etc but this is just another user folder.
    Interestingly at login stage, the oldname folder isn't an option. I think I've confused the system somewhere by titling things differently at some stage in an attempt to rename Home folder.
    I'm running Mountain Lion (as of yesterday) and because I've kinda lost the use of my User folder as the Home folder, can't get to my Time Machine. I'm in trouble but I'm trying not to panic. Would appreciate any help!

    HI,
    1.a. cost center name: can be changed every time (=daily), the relevant fields are set in SAP-standard OKEG to "daily".
    1.b. Example: Start date is 01.01.2000, it is always possible to set it to a date before that date by creating the cost center for this new time interval.
    If the new start date should be 01.01.2001:As long as their is no posting made to this costcenter, you can delete the time interval that is not needed (01.01.2000 - 31.12.2000) to achive the new start date for the costcenter.
    2: I don't know the reason why its working fine for the first 5 cost elements and not for the second 5. Anyway, if the cost element does not contain a posting, change the cost element master record.

  • Can't change default installation directory for silent installation of Flash Builder 4.5

    Hello,
    I'm trying to create a custom installation script for Flash Builder 4.5 in silent mode.
    I have created a flash builder msi installer using "Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition".
    I would like to change the default installation directory during silent installation.
    Could you please help ?
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards,
    Ryad

    The install.xml in the "Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 Installer/deploy" folder will have the INSTALLDIR property. You can change this property to your custom location.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <Deployment>
      <Properties>
        <!--Note that the INSTALLDIR value is machine specific.  The value below is a suggested default value but may need to be overriden.-->
       <Property name="INSTALLDIR">C:\Program Files\Adobe</Property>
      </Properties>
      <Payloads>
    </Payloads>
    </Deployment>
    Thanks

    Not sure about the first part.
    But i think you can fix the timing on the reader using this patch.

  • How to change the output directory of .xml files

    Hi,
    There are lots of .xml files generated under
    $ORACLE_AS_HOME/j2ee/home/applications/xmlpserver/xmlpserver/xml.
    (ex:/usb/bipub3/oracle/oc4j_bi/j2ee/home/applications/xmlpserver/xmlpserver/xml).
    I found these files are generated in the following operation;
    1.Log in BI Publisher.
    2.Select the Schedules tab.
    I think they are kind of temp files so we will be able to delete them.
    But I'd like to know how to change the output directory.
    Can we change the above directory to other path?
    Regards.

    Why? As that may invalidate support since you configure/alter the deployment.
    The location is specified in oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver\xmlpserver.war, so you could go into the war file and alter it.

  • Change STMS transport directory

    Hi gurus,
    I have a High Availability SAP ERP system (SAP ECC 6.0) as PRD server. We used an old server for DEV system (Host name = sapdev). These two servers belonged to a STMS domain.
    Recently we made homogeneous system copy and created a new Development (PRD copy) system to a new server. the new servers host name is AthinaDEV. We created a new STMS domain, joining the new DEV and PRD systems. The problem is that transport directory in PRD seams to be
    sapdev\sapmnt\trans\ and in DEV seams to be
    athinadev\sapmnt\trans\. In both servers in Transport Tool I have configured TRANSDIR as
    athinadev\sapmnt\trans.
    How can I change the transport directory to PRD to look
    athinadev?
    Thanks in advanced

    OK,
    I added the profile parameter DIR_TRANS with the correct path to both systems and now both systems use
    athinadev\sapmnt\trans as transport domain. All seems to be correct now (all checks return success) but I can't transfer any request.
    For example: I have created a test ABAP program. I have created a request for that program. I released the request from SE11 transaction succesffully. But when I use STMS transaction I have the following situation: in import overview I can see both systmes and 1 request waiting. When I double click on PRD to enter to import queue the list is empty.
    I have cheked the permissions on trans folder and seems to be ok (prdadm has corrrect permissions).
    The two systems has connected with transport routes.
    Can anyone help me find the solution?

  • Can't change ACR cache location or size

    Whenever I go to change the location of the cache, or even its size, the value immediately resets back the next time I open the preferences panel. Same happens if I try to do this in ACR 6.1. The location that I want to point it at is perfectly valid, on my local drive, and I have all permissions for it.
    Since Adobe apps are slightly retarded and don't follow symlinks, an attempt to sneak in a different location under a symlink ended up as expected in a crash.
    Any ideas how to change the ACR cache path, or why it would be failing? No messages in the Console. OSX 10.6.4, Nehalem MacPro.

    No, links don't really work with any Adobe apps, at least not on OSX. Just try to create a symlink to any of the Camera Raw settings folders (lens profiles, camera profiles - so that they are all the same on all my computers) - no dice. I write OSX software for a living and know my way with symlinks - not sure what Adobe is doing but they don't work.
    But that's not the issue here - my question is why I can't change the cache directory the "normal, pedestrian way" (your average user won't know anything about symlinks).

  • Can't change home directory for standard users (admin is OK)

    I'm can't relocate home directories for standard users.  Relocating works fine for admin users.
    When a standard user logs in, they get a message (paraphased) saying "the home directory is not available.  If it is located on a server, the server might not be online".  If I change the standard user to admin, this message goes away, and everything is fine.
    I created a standard user
    moved the home directory using the terminal as root: mv UserName  /otherlocation/UserName
    I then went into users and groups, other options and changed the home directory location.
    Rebooted, then tried to log in as the standard users.
    Next try - Deleted the standard user and created the same user with admin rights.  Followed the above steps and everything works fine.
    I don't want this user to have admin rights on my system.  Any ideas

    Hi,
    the AFP is has always been switched on. As for the path I believe this to be correct. The path I am using is:
    afp://musicserver/Users
    I'm not at the server right now so I mat have got the afp and : and / in the wrong order here but they are correct on the server.
    This however does not seem to put the a folder in the Users folder. Could it be something to do with my external hard drive? I am using a Mac Mini as our server (not ideal but fine for us, or at least was) this is booted from our external hard drive. This is the main system drive which is where the Users data is also stored. I have tried all possible paths I can thing of from replacing the 'musicserver' with the IP address. I have also tried adding the name of the drive to the path (System) but all does not work.
    Are you able to suggest anything I have missed? Perhaps I'm doing the path wrong?
    Thanks again
    Chris

  • FTP: can't change directory to

    When I try to connect to my FTP Server, any user has the message:
    530 User xxxx: can't change directory to asdads/xxxx.
    I have also this message in System Log:
    Sep 13 10:58:24 hostname ftpd[7916]: FTP LOGIN FAILED (cannot chdir) for 01.user.isp.com (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx), username
    I want that my users will connect to their own Home folders.
    Could anybody help me? I have no idea what could be wrong in my config.
    Thanx

    In Server Admin for the FTP Server, what are the Advanced Settings for the authenticated users? Do the authenticated users have access to their home directories enabled?
    If that's not it and the setting should allow access to the home directories, what path is the cd command targeting? If you're authenticated, then / (root) is typically set up as your login directory on the ftp server.
    If you're poking around at random directories, configuring and using ftp gets a bit more interesting. If access to share points is permitted, then there are symbolic links provided that allow you to cd over to the share points. But the paths can be (are) relative to and specific to how ftp server chooses to expose the local file system to the ftp client.
    (On a side note, ftp can also run afoul of network firewall settings and such, and can expose user and password information when used from untrusted or open networks. sftp can be a better choice in both regards.)

  • How can I change the IP at Directory Server?

    Hello
    I try change to IP address of iPlanet Server.
    I followed job the order by the Administrator's guide.
    but I can't update IP in Directory Server.
    ldif2db -i xxx.ldif command show warnning message.
    "[31/Oct/2001:00:17:04 +0900] - ldif2db: WARNING, skipping duplicate
    entry ..."
    How can I cange the IP in Directory Server?

    Hello,
    Do you have root access to that machine? You should /etc/hosts with vi, modify the IP and then force the writing, because its a read only file. You can force this using w! instead of w. This way, if you have root permission, you should commint the change.
    Good luck!

  • How can I change the directory in which I install oracle-xe-universal?

    Because I need to install it into my ssd which is mounted in the other directory.
    I know I can install the rpm package by relocate the root, but it won't work.
    Where I can just change the directory where to install the oracle-xe?
    Thanks a lot.
    Best rgds,
    Robin

    Kay,
    If you are looking at the entire music library ("Music") you can sort by any of the columns by clicking the column header.  If there is a column you can't see, enable it by going to View > View Options.
    Within a playlist, you can do the same, and in addition you can click above the column of sequence numbers, which will then allow you to drag tracks up or down to get any order you wish.

  • Can not change root password for WCS

    Need to change the root password for the web gui.
    WCS is running on linux, i have tried to do the passwd user-root but it cames back saying it can not find the username.

    Alex
    You could use the recovering password procedure for wcs as a workaround (chapter 14 of the following link http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/wcs/7.0/configuration/guide/WCS70cg.html )
    Recovering the WCS Password
    You can change the WCS application root user or FTP user password. This option provides a safeguard if you lose the root password. An executable was added to the installer /bin directory (passwd.bat for Windows and passwd.sh for Linux). Follow these steps to recover the passwords and regain access to WCS. For password recovery on a wireless location device, refer to chapters 8 or 9 of the Cisco 2700 Series Location Appliance Configuration Guide.
    Note If you are a Linux user, you must be the root user to run the command.
    Step 1 Change to the WCS bin folder.
    Step 2 Perform one of the following:
    Enter passwd root-user newpassword to change the WCS root password. The newpassword is the root login password you choose.
    or
    Enter passwd location-ftp-user newuser newpassword to change the FTP user and password. The newuser and newpassword are the FTP user and password you choose.
    Step 3 The following options are available with these commands:
    •-q — to quiet the output
    •-pause — to pause before exiting
    •-gui — to switch to the graphical user interface
    •-force — to skip prompting for configuration
    Step 4 Start WCS.

  • How i can dynamic changing root in JTree in swing?

    Hello, how i can dynamic changing root in JTree in swing?

    If u r willing to get your hands dirty and not be lazy, you can look around the code for the DefaultTreeTableModel and implement the setRoot functionality in the FileSystemModel. The code should not be too hard to figure out, cause it only replaces the root Object and fires a TreeStructureChanged notification.
    Set root functionality from DefaultTreeModel source (in your JDK installation directory)
         * Sets the root to root. A null root implies
         * the tree is to display nothing, and is legal.
        public void setRoot(TreeNode root) {
            Object oldRoot = this.root;
         this.root = root;
            if (root == null && oldRoot != null) {
                fireTreeStructureChanged(this, null);
            else {
                nodeStructureChanged(root);
        }ICE
