Can I change my w700 vista 32 bit to windows 7 64 bit since lenovo says they only support 64bit w7

I have a 5-6 month old w700 (2757-cto) that came with 32bit vista downgraded to 32bit xpp. It worked pretty good but the operating system wasn't stable enough for what I do so I upgraded to windows 7 32bit beta. It worked except the wacom pad didn't respond (a common complaint) when windows 7 came out I redid the operating system from scratch, reloaded the drivers and found that the fingerprint software and the wacom tablet still didn't work. I went to lenovo's update to windows 7 page and found out that the w700 is only supported for 64 bit windows, I bought windows 7 64 bit and tried to reconfigure my computer but the boot keeps coming up that there is no operating system on the disk. I then called software support and was told they wouldn't help me because it's an "upgrade" and that isn't their job.
I then tried windows vista ultimate (32 bit version) which is similar to the operating system I supposedly bought (windows vista business is the sticker on the bottom of the computer) This had no trouble with the operating system on the disk and the fingerprint software worked but the wacom tablet still didn't work.
I would like to use windows 7 64 bit (if this actually works with the wacom tablet -- I don't have much faith left) otherwise I'd like to use windows vista 32 bit which is what they sold me but doesn't work with the tablet in spite of using every combination of removing previous software, rebooting, etc, etc--[you don't want to know] .
Any suggestions or similar experience would be greatly appreciated.

After installing Windows 7 64bit on Intel SSD I install ThinkVantage System Update 4.0.
that have installed the necessary drivers.
Wacom tablet works as well as all 32bit and 64 bit graphics program,
even the games work when you install DirectX 9.

Hi Chris,
The only way that I know of to change the colour of the window headings, these,
is in the System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing > Display and change the White on Black settings, using grey scale in there to helps, but it also opens a hole lot of other issues as it reverses all colours throughout the system. You can switch it back and forth as shown on this setup screen.
Other than that, maybe changing the screen resolution so that all items are larger or zooming the screen when you require it by holding the Control button and scrolling the mouse or two finger scroll on the trackpad.
There may be, of course, a third party app that changes the colours by searching google.

Ip address really cannot become corrupt.. let me suggest you go into the setup and change the ip lease renewal time to as short as possible.
You can actually set it to minutes.. so use say 5min.
I would also change the DHCP range as well as that will then force all clients to renew to different IP.. and whatever is on the "corrupt IP" will be left behind.
No factory reset is required..

I've been told this happened to somebody else last week, but didn't get a resaon why.
Any clues as to why this is happening? I suspect it's a codec issue of some sort

if your computer does not support the operating system you wish to install in bootcamp then you have to use a virtual machine like virtual box to install the operating system you wish to install

How can i change the icon for my App for Windows? Director can do this from the Publish Settings. The Custom icon for app doesn't work. I select a .ico file for windows and Director can't attach this to the app.
There is anothe way to do that simple like in Mac with the Contest folder?

However, to answer your original question directly, I suspect there's something wrong with your .ico file as the feature in the publish settings works just fine, last I tried.

A 32 bit version product key cannot be used for 64 bit product. You need to purchase 32-bit license. However you can temporarily use a 64 bit trial using the instructions in the blog here:

Can I change the default color of Word windows so that icons can stand out better?

I'd prefer someting like white as a background color behind the functions, toolbars, etc. (I hope I'm explaining myself properly.) Also, the icons are really tiny. The only thing I see that a user is able to modify is the background (non-type) of the document itself, which I have no need to change.

Tecra M7 - Where can I get drivers for Vista x64 or Windows 7 x64?

I have a nice M7 tablet and I have to admit that despite all the problems on the hardware I like the notebook however toshiba is quite sad, and they never released any 64bit drivers for windows vista or windows 7 so what am I supposed to do? toshiba does not provide support for this computer seriously.
like toshiba is really absurt, last year I contacted them about a problem with my digitizer, dust was getting in between the plasstic and the LCD through the latch on top and they told me that they will format my computer and all viruses will be gone??? I was like, I dont want a format, physical dust is getting in my screen....
just because it is a discontinued model doesnt mean they can stop providing driver updates for the system.
It is a 64bit cpu, it supports 4 GB of ram, it is a tablet pc yes the hardware is probably 4 years old or more but still it is the best tablet I have ever used, I paid 2000+ USD (Tecra models are business models or they used to be) and toshiba is not providing drivers..........
Dont tell me to install 32bit win7 or vista, that makes no sense, I have 4 GB of ram, I have a 64bit cpu but a 32bit os that is totally bs too

First of all I agree with you that Tecra notebooks are expensive and are business notebooks but you shouldnt forget that on 32bit OS the most applications are running properly and some older applications they are necessary in business sometimes not running properly on 64bit OS.
So I think for business 32bit OS is fast enough because you use 3.2 GB RAM that you should be enough if you dont play new 3D games.
Of course it would be nice to have 64bit drivers but you can collect http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/ it yourself. The most Vista drivers are also work on Windows 7 so you should look for Vista drivers.

I would like to switch between windows (not applications) by hitting ALT and TAB (same as Windows) instead of ^F4. In the preferences, I tried to change the shortcut labelled something like "Move focus to the active (or next) window". Unfortunately, it always complains that this shortcut is already used by another operation. However I can't find which operation uses ALT+TAB ?!
How should I do ?

Interesting. I can't use the TAB key in ANY custom shortcuts. it gives an error sound (but no message) when i try. I tried it on 3 different computers. I suggest you try a different shortcut like alt+`. It's very close to alt+tab.
However I can't find which operation uses ALT+TAB ?!
How should I do ?

Can I change the colours in the Resize window?

When resizing (either image size or canvas size) I can't tell which numbers I've highlit, as the highlight colour is dark blue on a dark grey background. Is there any way of changing this to something more useful?

You can change the highlighted color by right clicking on your desktop and choosing Properties.
Then in the properties dialog under Appearance>Advanced click on the drop-down list below where it says Item
and find the Selected Items and to the right where it says Color 1 you can change the highlight color to something easier to see.
Just be aware that will affect the whole operating system just not pse 10.
