Can I change roaming characteristics on a controller

Folks,
I have fixing a very bad design where the coverage is not good. The users are complaining that when they roam their phones get disconnected as the APs are connected to controllers in different subnets and cckm does not work well in inter subnet roaming. The client should have done a proper site servey before deploying access points. Is there a way I can fine tune the roaming characteristics of the controller so that the clients do not roam that offten leading to disconnet calls?

Hi Navin,
Its my opinion if you start getting fancy with changing romaing you will ask for even more problems. If the network is properly deisgned and a soild survey was done you shouldnt have to get fancy.
A few quick questions..
1. Why the L3 roam ?
2. Is there proper cell over lap
3. What model phones are you using

Can't change LWAP association to different Controller

I have a customer with LWAPs that are associated to a specific controller. They want to change the controller it's associated to, but it keeps returning to the original controller. They've tried assigning the Primary controller via WCS/WiSM, resetting the AP to default config, then resetting the LWAP.....the LWAP still associates with original controller.
A new LWAP out of the box goes to the correct controller with no problem. So, there is still something in the previously assigned controller to an LWAP that is not being cleared. Can someone tell how we can do this?

You could try these two methods;
Configuring Static Parameters to Register the Access Point to a Controller
Using the password that the controller sent to the access point, enter into EXEC mode on the access point console. When the access point is running LWAPP or a recovery IOS image, you can configure the static IP address on the access point, the IP address on the controller, the access point hostname, and the default gateway IP address by entering these commands:
â¢ï¿¼lwapp ap ip address ip-addr subnet-mask
â¢ï¿¼lwapp ap controller ip address ip-addr
â¢ï¿¼lwapp ap hostname ap-hostname
â¢ï¿¼lwapp ap ip default-gateway ip-addr
The access point with a recovery IOS image uses the static controller IP address to register to the specified controller and download the current LWAPP image. After the access point successfully registers to the controller, it receives configurations from the controller. The access point static hostname and the IP address of the controller are deleted from the access point configuration file. However, the access point static IP address and the netmask and the default gateway IP address are not deleted.
When the access point is running a recovery IOS image, the commands to configure the static IP address on the access point, the IP address on the controller, the access point hostname, and the default gateway IP address are always enabled.
These commands are disabled in the following cases:
â¢ï¿¼When the access point is running an LWAPP image.
â¢ï¿¼When the access point has an LWAPP configuration file in NVRAM.
â¢ï¿¼When the access point is in REGISTERED state with the controller.
The access point console displays the following error message if you enter any of these commands when they are disabled:
"ERROR!!! Command is disabled."

I live on the Canada border and am constantly roaming with my Samsung gs4, I just got the phone Friday and cannot get it to stop roaming, I went to the local Verizon and she did something and told me it would work but it didn't.

You can turn off data roaming by going here: Settings > More > More Networks >Mobile Networks > Global data Roaming Access > Check Deny data roaming access.
I don't think there is any settings to turn off call roaming, unless you put the phone in airplane mode

Can I change the loops chords via a controller keyboard or other?

I'm new to composing with GB. I mainly record my real playing on my Korg Keyboards through a mixer and a USB audio interface but I just got a bundle of Apple Loops that come with Sountrack and want to use them and create music with the loops.
MAJOR QUESTION: Can I change or modify a loop's notes? For example, it plays a C major, can I change a part of it to be F major then another part G major and so on or are they unchangeable?
I'm also planning on purchasing the new Korg MicroX which is also integrated with GB via Plug-in and will be able to save my GB settings and Korg settings through GB for each project. Pretty cool. But just wanted to make sure on that chord change issue.
I know I can use the controller to play the GB software instruments and play melodies and will be able to hook the MicroX as midi to modify the combies and sounds while recording in midi mode but would also like any clues on the loops please.

G31M: Can't change "On-Chip SATA Controller" in BIOS

I have the G31M motherboard and I want to change the "On-Chip SATA Controller" setting in the BIOS to AHCI. However, I only have one choice: "IDE". I can't even disable it. And yes, I have SATA II drives connected to the SATA ports.
So why can't I change it?

Can not change data in Input Ready Query

All,
I have created an input ready query on an aggreagation level which has one transactional cube underlying it however, after run the query I am unable to change data in the cells even though I get a warning message saying query is ready for input
Note:
1. The underlying realtime cube is in "Planning Mode:Loading not allowed" state in rsa1
2. I tried including all characteristics so that the record can be uniquely identified at that aggregation level).
3. I am not using any characteristic restrictions
4. I have not set any data slices
5. I have set the property for Planning "Start query in Change Mode"
6. I have set the 'Key Figure' Planning Properties to "Can be changed Manually or via Planning Functions" for the key figures
7. I do not have currency/unit in row/column.
8. There are any locks occurring

Was wondering how was your problem solved. I get the same message when I run the query in web from query designer and in bex analyzer the cells are not updated with the changes that I make.
I am hitting my head against the wall to figure what could be the problem as my plan query is simply based on aggregation level created directlty upon the real time info cube.
Have cross checked all the points that you mentioned in this post but I cells do not change.
There should be some way around to solve this problem.

How to change the characteristics of a Batch

We have maintained a batch sort sequence based on Batch Manufacturing date.
But now customer wants the batch to be sorted out based on Batch Number.
How to change the Characteristics from Batch Manufacturing date and Batch Number?
Please do suggest.
For example, we have two characteristics assigned to the Class One is Manufacturing date and another is Batch Number.
How system will sort out a batch based on these two logic.

Hi Mullai,
I hope you know what do you mean by "Dependencies" in variant configuration. These are created for automatic update of characteristic values. If you want to delete the characteristic from the class, please do teh following.
1. Find out that there are any dependencies assigned to this characteristic. If so remove the assignment
2. Then you have to check if this characteristic is used in any dependency in the code. If so, find the implications of the same.
In case, you dont know what is dependency, may be they are not used in your project. In this case, you can just remove the characteristic from the class.
It has got one effect.
At present, a configured batch will have this characteristic. If you go to the batch master in change mode, then the old classification will be replaced by the new classification. So the deleted characteristics will not be available to you anymore. I hope that is fine with you. If this is fine, then you dont need to worry about removing the characteristic from the class.

Apple does not repair devices beyond replacing the screen on some models or a battery replacement. They replace the ENTIRE device.
For the Out of Warranty replacement cost, you could have gotten a fully functional replacement device. Instead you chose to spend less to get only the screen replaced and continue to live with additional issues.
Apple will not touch the device now. They will know that it was opened elsewhere and that the replacement screen is not original.

you can't change the backup folder as far as I know, but you can choose to move backups. The information you need can be found in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4946

By CLI:
Before change the country code on wlc , You must disable
WLC > config 802.11a disable network
WLC >config 802.11b disable network
WLC >config country SA (...or wtever country u are in)
And then enable both network again.
WLC >config 802.11a enable network
WLC >config 802.11b enable network
By GUI:
First disable both network 802.11a and 802.11b
Follow these steps to disable the 802.11a and 802.11b/g networks as follows:
a.          Choose Wireless> 802.11a/n > Network.
b.          Unselect the 802.11a Network Status check box.
c.          Click Apply to commit your changes.
d.          Choose Wireless > 802.11b/g/n > Network.
e.          Unselect the 802.11b/g Network Status check box.
f.          Click Apply to commit your changes.
Change country code on WLC now:
Choose Wireless > Country
after changing the country code please enable both networks(802.11a and 802.11b)

Check it in your PC, whether you can display ***** Characters for the Captions/Labels.
For control text we can’t change Language directly so, we need to create two Language Texts for each Controller/Indicator. Based on user request we need to update Caption Language.

In the existing setup, does WLC management & APs are on the same vlan ? If that is the case you may have not configured any of the below, as AP L3 broadcast reach WLC & in that way AP will learn about WLC.
If WLC & APs are on different vlan you may already use one of WLC discovery method listed below.
1. DHCP Option 43
2. DNS
3. UDP broadcast forwarding
4. Static configuration
When you change the WLC management IP address, AP need to know what is the new IP & you can modify the configuration of the method you used.

You can set the default duration of stills but you have to do it before you start the project.
iMovie is not really suitable for stop motion videos and iMovie 10 is worse than iMovie 9 because the minimum still duration is not really controllable as you have found. I don't have experience of making such videos but there are 3rd party apps which appear more suited to this, for example http://www.macworld.com/article/1146623/stop_motion_Mac.html
mentions some of them, though its a bit old and you may be able to find more up to date information.
