Can I change the playing order?

So it's 2009, I'm 25 and a big fan of technology, but it was only yesterday that I bought my very first iPod. I'm loving it, but I have a small (very small) issue.
I transferred a CD to the iPod using iTunes, but it put the very first song at the end of the album, instead of the beginning. Everything else is in order, and none of my other CDs did this. Is there a way I can change the playing order of songs on my iPod so that it's correct?

When you right click on a file and go to "get info," you'll then go to the "info" tab. Once you're there, there's a field where you can type in the track # (it'll say track __ out of __). The second blank should be filled in with the number representing how many tracks are in the album. You go from file to file typing in the correct track number.
Once you've done that if they still aren't showing up in the proper order in your library, you just right click the bar that labels the sections (like name, time, artist, etc.) and a list will pop up with all the different sections you can have displayed. All the ones that are already being displayed have check marks next to them. The second to last one is "track number." You'll want to click on this. Once you're looking at the album again in your library, you'll see the new section added. If you click on the bar that's labeled "track number" to highlight it, it should put all the songs in the right order. If it flips everything backwards, starting with the last song first, just click on the label again and the order will be reversed.

  • Change the play order of songs?

how do i change the play order of songs on my iphone? when i upgrade my iphone on itunes , that puts the last purchase to last on the list and i would listen first. the playlist in inverted. why?

Which app are you using on the phone to play the music?  That is the one that is probably controlling the order in which the music is played, and if you are using the iTunes app (not application but app) then that may behave in a similar fashion to iTunes application on the computer (I'm guessing).

Can you change the tab order in Muse forms?

    Hi Rebecca,
By tabs do you mean the form fields? If yes, then you can simply rearrange them by repositioning the other fields using mouse.
However, the e-mails that are received on submission of the forms show the original sequence of the fields.

  • How can I change the preference order of stored wi-fi networks?

How can I change the preference order of stored wi-fi networks? (My iPhone keeps trying to connect to a weaker network that I occasionally use - even when there's a stronger network stored in the system which I want to rank higher)

If you know and have entered and connected successfully to the weaker network whenever you come near it it will automatically connect to it.
If you want it to connect it to the stronger network you should go to the wireless settings and connect to the stronger one when both the networksare in range.this will make your stronger network as the default network connection.

I assume you want a custom sort order within a playlist, not sorted by Song, Artist, or Album.
With the playlist in view in iTunes, make sure that "Shuffle" is turned off. Then click on the left-most header (the empty box over the numbers in the left column). Once you click on that empty box you have unlocked the playlist and can then drag songs to any order you like (just make sure Shuffle is OFF).
When you're done, Option-click on the playlist name (right-click in Windows) and select "Copy to Play Order" to lock in the new sort order. If you auto-sync then you would re-sync the iPod. If you manually manage the iPod, you should be able to do this on the playlist on the iPod with it connected to iTunes.

  • I can't change the view/order of music on my iPhone in iTunes.

So, my iPhone is plugged into my MacBook Pro. iTunes is open, the iPhone is in my left column. I select the "Music" sub-cat under my iPhone, which shows me the songs on my iPhone. I cannot change the view or order in which the songs are listed. So I can't sort by name, or artist or album. It appears to be locked on genre, and only the standard list view is available.
I've restarted the phone. I've changed all sorts of setting in iTunes preferences. I am able to add songs, but I can only delete if I go into the "manually added songs" list.
I think this was an issue before I upgraded to Lion. Any ideas?

To Reset your Photo Stream, follow these instructions:
From a computer browser, go to icloud.com and sign in.
Click on your name on the iCloud home page (this is the page that shows all the app icons). If you do not see your name, click the cloud icon in the top left of the page.
    Click Advanced.
Here you will see the Reset Photo Stream button. Clicking this button will remove all your Photo Stream photos from iCloud. Once removed, they cannot be recovered, but you can re-upload any photos you'd like to restore to your Photo Stream from a Mac or PC.
After resetting your Photo Stream, you can also remove any photos that have been downloaded to your device or computers. To do this, follow the directions below:
On your iOS device, you can remove photos from the Photo Stream view by turning off Photo Stream and then optionally turning it back on. You can do this at Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream. If you added any Photo Stream photos to other albums or the Camera Roll on your iOS device, you can locate and delete these photos manually, if desired.

  • Can you change the album order in Web Gallery?

I can't seem to change the order of albums i publish to the web gallery. The gallery presents the albums in the order you upload it.
Any suggestions besides uploading my oldest albums first?

Just found the answer to this here. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306164 Apparently the order is not (at this time) flexible once the albums are uploaded. And what's more, the predetermined order is not exactly intuitive. Shouldn't the most recently uploaded album go at the end of the list so things are more chronological? Maybe this will get a fix in a maintenance update.

  • How can I change the random order of the people in Faces on my ipad and iphone

I want to organize the faces alphabetically. how can I do that?
also, search doesn't work on th faces page to find a particular person

I want to organize the faces alphabetically. how can I do that?
You cannot. The Photos.app has no controls to change the sorting of photos and albums.
Send feedback to Apple about missing features: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto_ios.html
also, search doesn't work on the faces page to find a particular person
You can search for captions or tags. So add keywords in iPhoto on your Mac to your Faces albums, before you sync the photos to your mobile device.

  • TS1398 can you change the connection order in iOS for known networks

Is it possible to change the order of preference for known Wifi networks.
When I turn on Wifi at home it selects the BT fon connection not the private network connection because the Fon connection was set up after the private network.
This gets annoying as it prevents connection to other devices in the house, without changing the selected network.
    Help would be appreciated
    Cheers

Take a look at the FormsCentral Forum.
    or
Guessing you mean the order of columns in the 'View Responses' tab.
If that is correct - click anywhere within the data in the 'View Responses' table
Click on the heading (eg next to the letter / name at the head of the column) of the column you wish to move. Release mouse button. This should highlight whole column.
now click again in same area, and holding the button down, drag it wherever you want it to appear. (you should see a yellow marker appear at the insertion point).

  • Can we change the display order of member set functions like @Idescendant?

Generally, for example, if we have dimension with member hierarchy as below:
    Parent
    Child1
    Child11
    Child2
    Child21
then, when we use function @Idescendant(Parent) to define the row during form design, the form will display the members in the following order:
    Child11
    Child1
    Child21
    Child2
    Parent
This is not what I want, I need the order to be the same as I defined them.
I know I can set the members one by one to display any order as I wish, but this is not doable when I have hundreds of members.
is there any good way to solve this problem? Any answer is appreciated.
    thanks
    tony

    Hi,
The answer is unfortunately no, there isn't any easy way of doing it. There are ways of doing it and automating it but I can't say it is easy. The solution I found once required me to update form definition tables through a stored procedure in Planning and recycle services after every update.

  • Can you change the song order in iTunes?

I imported an album from my hard drive to iTunes but the songs are showing up out of order and I don't want to import the live album to my iPod in the wrong order. I've checked the info on all of the tracks and everything is correct.
How do I get the songs back into their proper order before importing to my iPod?

I imported an album from my hard drive to iTunes
    but
the songs are showing up out of order and I don't
want to import the live album to my iPod in the
    wrong
order. I've checked the info on all of the tracks
    and everything is correct.
How do I get the songs back into their proper
    order
    before importing to my iPod?
This is what I would do. Enter the album name in the
search bar in iTunes. Once all the tracks show up
and if they are still out of order, click the Album
tab and that should put them in proper order. Then
once that is done, hook up your iPod, select all
album tracks, and then drag to your iPod. That
should solve your problem. Let me know if this works
    or does not work.
I actually was able to solve this myself. I highlighted all of the songs, and went to get info. I then made sure they were all of the same album (they were when I imported them). Once I entered the album name in the required field, the songs snapped into their original order (which is crucial when listening to a live album!).
    Thanks for your help though.

  • How can I change the song order when burning a CD?

I'm trying to burn about 20 songs to a CD. However they are in alphabetical order in the burn folder which I don't want. I want then in the original order they were performed. How do I re-order them before burning?
A related question: eventually I will add them to iTunes and I'll want to add info such as the artist's name, album name, etc (these were recorded live by me so they're "blank" audio files). Is there a way to add this info prior to importing into iTunes so I don't have to manually add the same info to each track?
    Thanks in advance!

Here's what I ended up doing:
I took the blank songs and added them one-by-one as WAV files into iTunes. Then I modified the "get info" summaries and added the artist name and album name to each. But now I had these huge WAV files... too large to burn back to my iPod. So I created a playlist in iTunes for the 20 songs and then burned them to a CD. Then I deleted the songs from iTunes, then re-imported them from the CD.
Kind of convoluted, but it worked and didn't really take THAT long. I now have the songs on my iPod with all the artist info and a backup CD with the same info and as WAV files.

  • How can I change the order in which photos are presented on an Apple TV?

I am showing photos on my Apple TV via my Apple MacBook, iTunes and Home Sharing.
That all works nicely for me, except that I wish to change the order in which a few photos
are being presented.  How can I change the presentation order on the Apple TV?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
You'll need to change the order in iPhoto. Open the album you wish to re-order, manually sort them to the order you want, then use the time and date and batch change options as applicable from the photos menu to retag your photos.

  • Change the sort order (ascending/descending) based on parameter field

I have created a formula on a subreport to change sorting based on variables.
    select {?Pm-@Sorting}
    case "property_type_desc ASC" :
    {owned_property.property_type_desc}
    case "property_type_desc DESC" :
    {owned_property.property_type_desc}
    default:
    ({owned_property.property_type_cd}; )
how can I change the sort order ascending and descending using the formula??
    Thanks, Jessica

    Try this
    1. Create a parameter with 2 default values in the picklist: Descending and Ascending.
    NOTE:
In Crystal Reports version 5 or 6, it is not possible to have a pick a parameter value from a list. The user must enter a specific value, guided by the prompting text. For example : To Sort in Ascending order type A, to sort in Descending order type D.
u2022 On the 'Insert' menu, click 'Parameter', then click 'New'.
u2022 Type the name and prompting text for the parameter in the corresponding boxes.
u2022 In the 'Type' box, click 'String'.
    u2022 Click 'Set Default'.
u2022 In the 'Value to add' box, type 'Descending' then click '>' to move it to the 'Default Values' list.
u2022 Repeat the above step for 'Ascending'.
u2022 Click 'OK', then click 'OK' again to return to the report.
    2. Create 2 formulas based on the field you want to change the sort direction on:
u2022 On the 'Insert' menu, click 'Formula', then click 'New'.
    u2022 Create this formula:
    @Asc
    If {?Parameter} = "Ascending" then
u2022 Save this formula and close the Formula Editor. This brings you back to the Formula tab of the Insert Fields dialog box.
u2022 Click 'New' and create this formula:
    @Des
    If {?Parameter} = "Descending" then
u2022 Save this formula and close the Formula Editor.
u2022 Click 'Close' to return to the report.
    4. Sort the report based on these two formulas.
u2022 On the 'Report' menu, click 'Sort Records'.
u2022 In the 'Report Fields' list, click {@Asc} and move it to the 'Sort Fields' list.
u2022 Under 'Sort Direction', click 'Ascending'.
u2022 In the 'Report Fields' list, click {@Des} and move it to the 'Sort Fields' list.
u2022 Under 'Sort Direction', click 'Descending'.
u2022 Click 'OK' to return to the report.
Once you preview the report you will be prompted to select a parameter value, which will determine how the report is sorted.
