Can I change the user timeout on an Airport Extreme?

I recently bought an 801.11n Airport Extreme and wanted to utilize its network-attached storage feature, which works great until either: a) I keep a Finder window open too long in one directory (error code -50 and -8xxx) or b) I use it to stream MP3s to iTunes. The AE basically craps out and requires a hard restart. I'm operating under the assumption that it's failing some sort of user authentication verification.
The hardware attached to the network is:
15" MacBook Pro Retina
11" MacBook Air
ASUS G73JW (Win 7 x64)
Vaio VPCEA36FM (Win 7 x64)
2TB WD My Passport USB hard drive (...\Audio\Music is the folder I'm trying to serve in iTunes)
I'm new to the recent Apple scene (last routine use was an Apple II), so please bear with me on more proprietary issues.

I have a bluray player in the same room, but it does not have Wifi capability. Can I just plug an rj45 cable from the BR player to the RJ45 on the airport and get internet?
If the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) is configured to extend the wireless network of the AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS), then its Ethernet port should be enabled for network/Internet ... and you could plug a wired device (like the Blu-ray player, computer, or another router) into it for access.

iCloud email addresses can't be changed or deleted, but you can set up an alias namethat he can use which will be linked to his current iCloud account and will receive email in the existing iCould inbox. This guide explains how: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2622.

I'm using an iMac with OSX 10.6.8. The proceedure on your system is probably similar.
Get the Facetime window up, and go to Facetime preferences. Click on "account," you'll see a view account option that will prompt you to sign in with your Apple id and password. From there you can make the changes that you want.

Does only certain branch of HDD can be connected to aireport extreme?
I collect some information and i knew i have to partiion the HDD into Mac OS extended (journaled),
and i did so. Still the usb HDD cannot be found.
The other question is, can i partition the HDD into two sections, one of it is Mac OS extended(journaled) while the other is Fat32?
I want to share Fat32 section with another PC with windows system.

I had tried to set up the connection via usinb a powered usb hub as the bridge between external HDD and the airport extreme. i still cannot found the HDD in the "airport utilities".
This is my setting.
1. Set airport extreme as "sharing-single-ip" mode. The wireless network functions correctly.
2. Connect external HDD to MBA. Partition it into single-partition with Mac OS extended (journaled).
3. The HDD can be found if i plugged it directly to my MBA.
4. Connect a powered usb hub to airport extreme.
5. Connect external HDD to the powered usb hub.
6. Open airport utilities.
a. Select "airport extreme" in the sidebar.
b. Change the "Disks" sheet.
7. Cannot find an external Disk
Is there any problem here?

I need this to extend the wi fi range in my home. I'm using a Motorola Cable modem and to extend with Airport Extreme, I need to set up inside Motorola the MAC Address of the Airport Extreme.

There are actually 3 MAC Addresses on an AirPort Extreme......1 for Ethernet, 1 for 2.4 GHz wireless and 1 for 5 GHz wireless.
You can normally see them by using AirPort Utility. The rub here is that the AirPort needs to be setup and working to be accessed by AirPort Utility.
The other approach is to look on the bottom of the AirPort. The newer AirPorts usually have this information in very small print, so a magnifying glass will probably be required. Other versions embed the numbers in the foam mat.
Note.....Apple uses proprietary settings for the their wireless "extend" feature.....designed to only allow other Apple devices to connect. So, it is extremely unlikely that the AirPort would be compatible with a 3rd party router if you are trying to use the AirPort to wirelessly extend the network.
Let us know if you are able to do this.

The command is not alter user set expire...
You should modify the user's profile, and set a timeframe:
ALTER PROFILE DEFAULT LIMIT
PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME = num_of_days;
This way your password will be valid from the last time it was changed and for the time frame previously defined.

EP6.0: Can't change the Users that are created earlier by somebody else

Hi,
I ( have super admin access) am trying to modify/delete some of the users that were created by some body else earlier.
During Modify, it's not allowing me to change the following (grayed out)
1> Last name
2> First name
3> email add
Moreover I don't even see the password field where I can reset the password.
Also when I change the validity period etc, for some reason, the old data come back again after some time.
The user in question needs some additional access and need resetting of the password and I am not able to do the 2nd.
Also please note that there is no issue with the User lock, I have checked that already.

Have u Changed in User Mapping ?
Go to 'User Admn' - >User MApping -> search for the User u want -> Do edit .
If u hav did any LDAP ,u can't change the Fname / Lname here as it's been configured .

i'd like to know how can i customize the user 'connecting' R/3 and BW, i mean: when i launch a data extraction a fixed user creates the rfc connection to BW (and i can see it from tcode sm58 in r/3), i need to use a different username so that it will come be more easy for me to reorganize the rfc queue in case of errors (we are doing some testing), it's possible to do something like this or everyone has to share the same user r/3 side?

Its recommended that only one user executes the RFC because you must manage the authorizations for remote execution only with few users....in case on error you can send the user as a parameter of the RFC and you can buid the error message with this parameter and identify the user of execution...

Yes.
Specifically you create a new admin account with your name (or any other name of your choosing), log in with it and then delete the other account you don't want.

I acquired a used MacMini. I changed the home directory name and display name but when I use ls -l (in Terminal) I still see the former owner's Unix name. This may not be the last thing you have to do, but....
System Preferences -> Users & Groups (or if an older system "Accounts").
Click on the Padlock in the lower left corner, enter you admin password.
Control-Click on the desired account
Select "Advanced Options..." from the popup
Pay close attention to the warnings, as you can totally screw up your Mac. In fact, do you have a full bootable clone backup (SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner)? If not, stop now and go make one.
Change the Account name field.
Change the Home Directory field to match your new home directory.
DO NOT MESS with UUID, and I would strongly suggest not changing your User ID, as all your files are currently owned by that User ID, and it is a pain to find and change the ownership of all your files.
I suggest you logout and login. Then if things do not look right, reboot. If you have cron jobs, chances are they will be tighed to the old name, and a who bunch of other things might have stuff tied to the old name, so this is one of those things that may go wrong after you change your username.
Again, this may not be the only thing you need to change.

Is there any possibility? And does it logically sense from a business process point of view.

If the update must be in the background then no it is not possible. It is therefore important to weigh up the usability constraints of using a dialog task as opposed to what can be gained in terms of the business process flow and audit concerns.
We must however remember that the object (such as FI doc or PO for example) exists within the concept of all related objects in R3, and this includes the workflow instance, change docs, and associated logs. So the argument of just looking at the individual database record without its associated workflow instance - with its record of who actually did what, and to which object - does not give a true picture of the overall business process.
