Can I change track titles?

A friend gave me an iPod as a gift and it was loaded with a bunch of songs from our high school grad year. Some of the songs he purchased from iTunes and when I tried to sync it on my computer it would never let me without erasing the iPod because of those purchased songs. I tried, several times, to add my computer (or whatever it was) like I was prompted but that never worked. So my friend burned the playlist onto an audio CD for me (actually it took 4 cd's) so I could just import them into iTunes. Well, that worked, but the title of all the songs turned into track 1, track 2, etc. for each disk. So now, when I sync them over to the iPod I won't have any idea which song is about to play. Is there a way to edit the track titles?

Because iTunes songs cannot be transferred to another person. The song has the account info of whoever purchased it, embedded into the song file.

I beleave the easiest way is to use PEResourceExplorer,

window
title and window icon.

• Can't change track location in playlist by dragging anymore

can't change track position anymore on any playlist, what am I missing?

Make sure that the sort indication (the little black triangle) is above the left-most column, i.e. the column of numbers.
If the triangle is above any other column, the playlist will stay sorted by that column, and you will not be able to drag individual tracks up or down

• I can't change tracks on my ipod shuffle

Hello, someone could help me? I can't change tracks on my ipod shuffle. Thank you

Try holding down on the play/pause button for about 3 seconds until you hear a clicking noise through your earbusa or speakers. THe controls might be locked, caused by this solution, but performing it again unlocks the controls, thus hopefully solving your problem.

• How can I change the title I see on my application

I'm aware it may seem a silly question, but I don't know how to change the title I see on my application. I don't mean the name of the application, but the one appears above on the page. If I change simply the name of the application this dosn't change on the page when I reun the application.
Where do I have to change it? Tabs, lists, where else?
Thanks!

In the Application Definition (Shared Components) create a substitution string APP_NAME. Enter some value there. In the page template header add this:
<title>&APP_NAME.</title>Denes Kubicek

The default is movie and when I change to Sci/Fi Fantasy it goes back to Movie also. Anyone else have this problem and if so how do I fix it? Thanks.

• "grayed out" info /can't change tracks (win 7) - exasperated - please help?

I moved my library to a larger external drive and now for 80% or more of my music, I can't change any details or info, genres, etc. I've done a lot of research already but still can't overcome this problem. I'm on Windows 7.
My latest move was to reformat the external my library was on to FAT32 (which has no security interference) because I couldn't get anything done with "allow" user settings when on NTFS. I thought surely I had a security rights problem going on -- but now I'm truly exasperated. Why is iTunes locking me out of my own music?
Anyway--if anyone has any suggestions I can try I'd be eternally grateful.

It sounds as though Windows is not allowing you access to those files. This can be for two reasons:
They are read only, which doesn't seem likley but is worth checking.
The other is your account does not have write access to the folders containing the files. This is likely to happen when folders wre created on another PC or in another account.
Go to the music folder and select Properties>>security tab. You may need to take ownership of the folder and give yourself full control.

• How can I change a title in I books

I have a ton of PDF files in iBooks. The All have very vague titles. How can I retitle and organize? I'm on ipad2

I downloaded Notability from the App Store, 69 pence, to change the file name of new PDF downloads. But I had to export existing PDFs to my iMac to change their file names, and then import back to iPad. Took several hours.

• Can't change track order for a CD I'm trying to burn - Help! :-/

I'm trying to put together a CD for my girlfriend (yes I know... sappy) but can't seem to change the order. I'm feeling a bit like an idiot because I was able to change them just hours ago but not anymore. I also noticed I can't drag items from other playlists into this one. It's NOT a SmartPlaylist and no I don't have any of the sort headings selected besides the first one (little arrow thingy).
I've read everything I could find in the forums and none of it's helped.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm positive that Shuffle is NOT on. This really seems like a glitch in the program to me.
Indeed it is. That is what I meant by "bug."
I've compared my itunes setup to another computer side by side and can't see why it won't work. I've tried restarting the program, the computer, etc but it still won't allow me to drag songs to playlists or reorder them within the playlist.
Did you try the "Add To Playlist" approach that was suggested? That should help you get around the first problem. As a workaround for the second, start a new playlist and add the songs one at a time in the order you want.
Hope this helps.

• Can't change track order in iTunes DJ or get Crossfade to work.

For some reason, I can't switch the order of my tracks in iTunes DJ. If I click on a track and try to drag it to a new position, it won't work.
And Crossfade won't work in DJ. It's fine when I'm playing from my playlists, but it won't work in DJ.
I'm running iTunes 8.2.1

Select all teh tracks in iTunesDJ and press Delete.
It will immediately re-populate.
