I recently bought an apple ipod touch 32g from a co-worker and he is claiming it is brand new. I can tell he has used it before and there are a few scratches on the back, but i am not really worried about that. I just want to know if there is anyway i can tell how old it is and what the exact day it was registered or first used was. i have all the information and it is currently registered to my own name, but if i find out it was used for a few months i am sure he would knock some money off the price in embarrassment for his lie. anyone know how to do this?

This is one year from the date it was registered or the date it was reported as sold by the retailer.
If it is a 3rd gen iPod touch, they did not come out till September 2009.

If you're on your Mac OS, click on the little Apple sign in the top left corner of the screen and select About This Mac. Then, if you have your external HD plugged in, go to Storage, and there you should see all HDs (internal and external, USBs, etc) space and how much you have left on them. On a Windows OS, just go to My Computer to see.
