No you cannot. You can see if the carrier can give the option of what devices they have in stock, but PINs are on the device itself as an identification number.

  • Can I choose my own Triple Points Day?

Question as the subject. Is that possible to choose my own triple points day? If it is possible, how? Thanks.

    Hello gu015,
I hope that you had a fun Memorial Day weekend.
The only time that 3X points would be available to a member is if we have an ongoing promotional offer, and while we have had "Choose Your Points" promotional offers in the past, a physical coupon was required that would have been sent via email.  As of this moment, we have a promotion that is offering 3X points with the purchase of select Canon or Nikon cameras or lenses on BestBuy.com.
With that having been said, you cannot simply choose any random day to earn 3X points.  I would strongly encourage you to keep an eye on your email account for My Best Buy™ related emails, including any spam/junk folders.  You may also want to periodically login to your My Best Buy™ account and check the forum for program related promotions, as we tend to have new offers each week.
Thank you for posting to the forum and for being a My Best Buy™ member!

  • Can I tailor my own Sky package?

Hi. I feel I am paying for a lot of channels I don't watch. Several sport channels, music channels etc. Essentially all I need is a couple of the movie channels, sky sports 4 for the golf, disney jr and maybe sky atlantic - all channels in HD. Particularly would like to lose sky sports as not a huge football fan and feel I'm paying others to watch the premiership football. Can I choose my own pack rather than the whole bundle?

T hanksHave you considered NOW TV? It lets you have just the main entertainment channels for, I think, £6.99 per month and that includes atlantic. You can also buy one-off week passes to sky sports to watch the golf on SS4.

  • Content tab in Options..."Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above" and it's box disappeared from my options...I need it back...

I was having problems with some sites having such faded lettering that I couldn't even read them. So I unchecked the box for "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above". That screwed EVERYTHING up...backgrounds on websites are gone and buttons are hardly recognizable on some pages (including this one). I went back to re-check that box, and that option is no longer in the menu...the whole sentence and it's associated check box are completely gone. I even tried tabbing through to see if I just couldn't see them, and nothing. Absolutely disappeared. I also tried checking and unchecking the same box under the "advanced" button settings and that made a difference on how web pages looked, but did not fix the problem...Help???

  • Can we create our own loops? Basic question.

    Hi,
Can we create our own loops in Logic Pro. I see in all the tutorials. They are either taking input from external instruments OR use existing apple loops.
I have tried FL studio demo to create our own loops. But there is no trial version for Logic Pro. Need your inputs before I purchase it.
    Thank you.
    Anji

    Yes you can!
It is as simple as selecting a Region (optional trimming recommended) and choose the Export command.
A Dialog window opens up that lets you enter the metadata
Apple had its separate "Apple Loop Utility" app (now only available in the developer package) that allowed you to create loops in a standalone app. The built-in loop capability in Logic uses part of that engine.
    Hope that helps

  • How can I remove a Device PIN from my account?

I sold my Q10. The Buyer is in my contact list and his data is always integrating in my own contact data including the PIN.
How can I unassign the BB PIN from my BBID Account?
    Thanks in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

There actually were several steps that should have been conducted before selling it...refer:
Article ID: KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after buying a previously owned BlackBerry smartphone
The on-device WIPE would have taken care of removing the association between that device and your BBID. Then you could simply use that same BBID on a different device, and that person would have no ability to use that same BBID since they would not know the password.
It is possible (a feature!) to have more than one device on a single BBID, but the result is what you are experiencing. So, I believe the only remedy is that the new owner needs to WIPE that device and start over, leaving you with sole control over your BBID.
    Good luck!

  • When "allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above" is un-checked in the options menu, I am unable to see images on websites. How do I maintain having the box un-checked and still view images?

I recently decided to switch the colors around in Firefox. I work in a pretty dark environment and having dark colored text on white or bright backgrounds is rather difficult on my eyes in the dark.
I switched the background to a dark gray, the text to a light gray and both visited and unvisited links to a light blue. Along with these changes, I unchecked the "allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above" box.
After unchecking the box, I am no longer able to view images on many websites. The images all turn gray - as if Firefox has changed their image into part of the background. When I check the box, I am able to see images fine, however, the websites usually revert back to their bright backgrounds with dark text.
Any help and assistance with this is greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!

  • Firefox option "Allow Website to choose their own font/color" fails in High Contrast

On Windows 8.1 and Firefox 32, the option to Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above" Fails completely if Windows 8 is using a High Contrast Theme.
Regardless of the Windows Theme, Firefox should allow pages to use their designed colors otherwise problems will exist on a number of sites. Including the Mozilla.org page.
With the Allow Pages... turned on, it should look like this:
    http://yosemitelandscapes.com/temp/correct.jpg
Instead the Windows High Contrast is forced upon the web site:
    http://yosemitelandscapes.com/temp/incorrect.jpg
For reference Chrome does this correctly which has forced me to switch to the Chrome Browser until a fix is issued for this problem.
NOTE: This is not the same problem people reported where High Contrast did not function in Firefox 29. But I think it may be related to the fix.
I have tried "reverse logic" and turned these options on and off to see if the behavior changed. Pages refreshed and even closed and reloaded. I can find no way to work in High Contrast Themes and allow pages to show up normally in Firefox 32.
I much prefer the security and design of Firefox. Help us please!!!

That's a painful example. I don't have access to Windows 8/8.1 myself, but I suspect this is by design, as I have seen other screenshots from users using high contrast dark themes that did not have background colors and images.
Firefox 32 contains a change from this bug: [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1042625 Bug 1042625 - Page should be drawn in accordance with the high contrast themes]. The testing (and a comment in the patch) refers to solving a problem on Windows 7, but apparently Windows 8 also was affected.
I don't know whether there is a workaround to tweak what is and isn't displayed in the page with a high contrast theme.

  • CS5 install on case-sensitive file system - can't choose different drive (Mac OS)

I just upgraded my macbook pro to a new drive and 10.6, and chose 'case sensitive' HFSX, 'cause I'm a heavy command line user and wanted the maximum BASH experience.
I'm trying to install the CS5 demo to try some web design tools, and the installer immediately says "Installation to case-sensitive drives is not supported. Please choose a different drive location to install." So case-sensitive drives aren't supported; crappy but fair enough.
The error message leads me to think that I can just choose a non-case-sensitive drive to install to, but I never get a chance to pick one - I click on the installer and it goes straight to the error message.
So - how do I pick a different drive to install to? Am I just an idoit, is there no way to select a different drive, or will it not install on a system that even BOOTS from a c.s. drive, regardless of the format of the drive that CS5 is installed to?
I called the support number, and the poor fellow on the other end suggested I re-download the demo, and if the new download fails call Apple support to report my 'drive error'.
I'm hoping to avoid an entire backup-reformat-restore and lose CLI compatibility just to try some demo software.
    ch

That is part of why I would prefer case sensitive by default.   I know some server packages do the folding for you, same as some web servers do not differentiate between 'htm' and 'html' when people type in requests, but most of the time the backend server is going to be case sensitive and it is not safe to assume (or hope) that the service will fix things.  Compensating for mistakes is fine, but allowing such silent corruption is not a terribly laudable things and it encourage people be careless.
Every once in a while I do encounter someone submitting some work where their configuration values and file names do not match, and 'well my laptop silently fixes it for me since it does not care' is a poor excuse.  And if I sent broken filenames upstream or even worse commit them to be used on a server, that is a pretty significant professional failure.
Back to Adobe specifically, I have been trying the suggestion on poster mentioned in where one installs the Adobe applications to a case insensitive drive then copy over the installed files.  This does not quite work out of the box, but for reasons I would be hard pressed to believe are Apple's fault.
For instance the first error I encounter is the inability of Bridge to load:
    "@executable_path/../Frameworks/WRServices.framework/Versions/A/WRServices"
When I go look inside the app directories I can see that in Bridge the file has been named 'awrservices', but in Illustrator it is correctly named AWRServices.   So it looks more like a problem in whatever version control they are using.  The only way I can picture (which my adminitialy limited knowledge of what I am sure is a large and complex project with all sorts of legacy issues) that the installer toolchain factors in as a problem is if they have mismatches in their own scripts/packaging and have been depending on HFS's bad behavior to hide the problem.  I can understand not wanting to invest the time to pay down the technical debt on such an issue, but having such errors in your configuration causes long term headaches.
And I say this as someone who worked on just such a project, moving a software suite that had legacy code stretching back longer than Adobe has existed as a company.  This conversion included moving from a case insenstive filesystem to a case sensitive one and yeah, there were lots of problems that the old FAT32 system hid from us, but it really paid off over the long run to fix them rather than try to twist the code to compensate.
Having said that, if the problem is really that they do not want to go update their filenames (in version control or config files), then you can always add folding to your loaders.  I have had to do that a few times due to upstream people developing on case insensitive systems and sending data files with incorrect file names.  This is an old class of problem, and while I can empathize with the struggles project managers have trying to get approval for paying down technical debt, the problem never gets better on its own and usually gets worse.
Which is why I responded with so much grump to the 'I never needed it' argument since that is exactly the type of customer comment that marketing tends to point to in order to push such things off the schedule.  This is the type of thing where the customer does not really know what they want because they are already accustomed to broken behavior and most of the problems are hidden from their immediate view.  It is easy to cover up the limitations since modern UI (and their search capabilities) can handle this.
It is not just arcane developers stuff, and it is the same transition that people have made with things like spaces, quotes, and parentheses, where years ago users believed they had no need for them since they were not using them, but they were only not using them because they did not work.   Today try to tell a modern user they can not put (, ", ) or even ' ' in their filenames and they would rightly question why this piece of obvious functionality is not working since today they are used to it working and no longer automatically compensate for it.
I also find it ironic that by default OSX hides a number of file extensions, so from the user's perspective you can have multiple files with the exact same name displayed to them, so you can get display issues where 'foo' is the same as 'foO' if both have .txt, but 'foo' and 'foO' are not the same if one has .txt while the other is .pdf.  Add to this confusion cases like 'foo.txt' and 'foo.pdf" both being shortened to 'foo'.

  • How can I choose another name for Game Center? (not a nick)

How can I choose another name for Game Center ? (not a nick)

    Hi XxCarrisxX,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on exactly what you are asking. If you are talking about changing to or using a different Apple ID in Game Center, you may find the following article helpful:
Sign in to your Game Center account using your Apple ID. If you don't have an Apple ID or another Apple account, tap or click Create New Account to create an account to use with Game Center.
You can change the account you are signed into by:
iOS: Tap Settings > Game Center.
OS X: Click the Me tab in the Game Center app and click on your Account.
    Apple Support: Using Game Center
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4314
However, make sure you are aware of the following:
Note: Please note each Apple ID has its own associated scores, achievements, and friends.
Apple IDs are also tied to your other Apple services, and therefore should not be created lightly.

  • Can´t choose certificate when defining VPN connection

Client is Macbook Pro running SL 10.6.4
    VPN gateway is Cisco
Users are authenticated using username, password and a digital certificate. The certificate, both root and user, is created on a Windows server (using Microsoft Certificate Services). Root and user certificate is imported into the keychain on the Macbook. But when I try to select, in System Preferences, I am not able to choose my own user certificate. It looks like it only support Machine Authentication (and needs a Machine Certificate ??).
Has anybody ever created a VPN setup on a Mac, towards a Cisco VPN gateway, using username+password and certificate ? Where must I store the certificate to make OSX us it when defining a Cisco VPN connection ?

Same thing here. This seems like a huge-gaping-hole type bug but I can't find anything about it doing any kind of searching
I've managed to get the machine certificate to "stick" by the following:
    1. Select Shared Secret and enter some random text.
    2. Click OK and click Apply.
    3. Now go to the auth settings again and set the machine cert.
    4. Click OK and Apply.
    Setting should stick now.
No luck with the User certificate though
I've been able to track down the preference change to this file:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist
In this file, supposing you use password authentication, there are entries as such:
    <key>AuthPassword</key>
    <string>6247164D-49F3-49A2-A933-0D95B5400A33</string>
    <key>AuthPasswordEncryption</key>
    <string>Keychain</string>
Now if you use a certificate, there is only the following:
    <key>AuthProtocol</key>
    <array>
    <string>EAP</string>
    </array>
As you can see from here, nothing gets saved about the user certificate... grr!
Is there anyone who successfully used the OS X VPN this way?
    Thanks

  • Some sites don't have symbols unless "allow pages to choose their own fonts" is checked

With option "allow pages to choose their own fonts..." deselected, some symbols are improperly displayed.
I think I know what's happening. With the option selected, FF displays some symbol characters with the wrong font.
But, this doesn't make sense, since these symbols are not in any language font. None of them will produce the correct symbols if selected as the personal preferred font. So, it's incorrect to render these symbols in any of the fonts selected as my personal preference, regardless of status of this option.
So, FF should use the a symbol font for these symbols regardless of this preference setting.

You can accomplish what you want with a user style. Here are step-by-step directions. If you need any more help, just ask.
    # Leave "Allow pages to choose their own fonts" enabled.
    # Install Stylish.
    # After Stylish is installed, open the Add-ons Manager, User Styles category.
    # Click the Write New Style button at the top.
    # In the style editor window, paste either of the following. Give the style a name and then click the Save button.
    <u>'''Variant #1'''</u><br>
This is the easiest and safest thing to do. It applies your default sans-serif font to all sites, except those you specify. To specify exceptions, replace the placeholders with actual domain names. To add new exceptions, add another '''|''' symbol followed by the domain name.
    <pre><nowiki>@-moz-document regexp("https?://(?!(example-of-an-exception.com|www.placeholder.site-exception.net)).*") {
    * { font-family: sans-serif !important; }
    }</nowiki></pre>
    <u>'''Variant #2'''</u><br>
This requires a bit of work on your part. You must know the font that's being used to display the symbols in question. Right-click a symbol and choose Inspect Element. In the Inspector pane, click the Fonts tab. You should see the font family names listed there, labeled with "remote". The actual font family name is below, under "Used as:".<br>
You're going to want to specify your ideal font first, then the site's fonts after that. If certain characters can't be rendered with the font you want, then Firefox should fall back to the second font in the list, or the third, and so on. If none of the specified fonts contain the required characters, then Firefox will display the Unicode codepoints (rectangles with numbers in them).
    <pre><nowiki>@-moz-document url-prefix("http://"), url-prefix("https://") {
    * { font-family: Arial, "Segoe UI Symbol", FontAwesome, PlaceholderFontOne, "Placeholder Font Two", sans-serif !important; }
    }</nowiki></pre>
