Can i combine two different log-in profiles on my mac air?

i somehow ended up with two log-in profiles.  they both relate to the same apple id.  how do i merge the files and libraries for these two user profiles into one profile?

Open the Users folder and drag one account's home folder to the other's desktop or the files you want to move into Shared and then into the other account's home folder.

Please explain in more detail what you are wanting to do.
Do you want to have two different versions of iPhoto, have two different Libraries or Share iPhoto with multiple users?
Two different iPhoto versions (06 and 08, 08 and 09 for examples) is a problem and I say no because the older version can not use a Library that the newer version has modified.

Can we have two different itunes accounts on the same account? I am having trouble accessing mine from my sons.

    Yes you can.
The fact you cannot access your son's library from your User account is intentional. User accounts on your Mac are nearly as separate from each other as your Macs are from anyone else's on the planet. To copy music from his account to yours, first copy it to the Shared folder, then log into your account and import the music. Then, you can erase it from Shared.
The Shared folder exists at /Users/Shared.

  • Can I use two different HD's to backup my Mac?

I was thinking how to make my backups more resilient. At the moment I take one weekly backup from my Mac using Time Machine - I then store the TM hard-disk away somewhere safe. (BTW - the reason I don't leave the TM disk connected all the time and run continuous backups is that I figure if someone breaks into my house, they'll just take the Mac and the hard disk!).
I'm now thinking what happens if the TM hard disk fails and I can't restore from it? So I thought about maybe getting a second external hard disk, and alernating my backups each week to a different disk. As well as providing extra protection against a failure, I could also store the two backup disks in different places to add further resilience.
Would TIme Machine get confused however if I use two different disks to run backups from the same Mac?
    Thanks for any advice...

Time Machine won't get confused if you use it to back up to alternating disks. You have to run a complete, full initial backup on each machine, of course. When you swap disks, use the Time Machine pref pane to "choose" the backup disk that's currently connected.
The "Preparing Backup" stage takes longer on the first backup after the swap - but it would do that if you had just not used the same drive for a week, too.
Of course, YOU might get confused with this setup if you're looking for an older version of an existing file and the specific one you want is on the "other" drive, but it sounds like you're just looking for a "restore in case of disaster" solution rather than using the versioning history Time Machine provides.
(Also - if the drive isn't big - physical dimensions, I mean - it might be easier to unplug it and shove it in a drawer if you think your Mac might be grabbed but the rest of the place not get ransacked.)

    And your question
Can you please help me by saying me how can i join two different picture to make it as one picture.??
does not seem particularly specific – do you want to simply combine two images as they are, do you want to clip elements from the one and insert them into the other, …?
Could you post (lores of) the images and explain what you intend to achieve?

  • How can I combine two databases, from two computers, to have one combined database of messages?

My old XP computer recently died and I had to build a new Windows 8.1 machine. While I was down I used a laptop as a temporary replacement. Now my new machine is running fine and receiving e-mail, but I now have two databases--one on the new machine and one on the laptop. Both are based on a recent backup, so they are lengthy--except that the new machine's database has a hole in it for the period I was on the laptop and the laptop's database also has gaps. How can I combine two databases into one that includes the messages from both machines?
    Thanks in advance,
    profsimonie

Thanks for your reply. My profile folder did not contain any MBOX files. I found them in another folder on another drive. The Import-Export tools simply transferred each folder to the current one as a sub-folder. Then I had to use ctrl-a to select everything in the folder and move them manually to the current folder (such as inbox). Then I could use the other utility you mentioned to remove the duplicates. This had to be done, one folder at a time, to combine each folder. It worked, but I had about thirty-five folders to deal with. The whole process took most of two days to complete. I wish there was a simple way to blend everything together in one action, but I could not find an add-on that would do this.

  • Can we have two different logon screen for the Portal

Can we have two different logon screens for the Portal?
We should split the Logon application in two different applications:
    Login # 1
should be read a DataSource.XML reading the Active Directory (Microsoft), to read-only the profiles from the AD, and block some IP address range.
    Login # 2
should be read a DataSource.XML reading the Portal user only
    Is this possible?

    Hello Developer,
Did you find an answer to this problem. I also have a similar issue at hand and am wondering if anybody has a solution for this.
    Thanks, Akhilesh

  • Can we access two different Siebel BO in Same OPA Rule Base

    Hi all,
can we access two different BO's from same rule base.
what i means is,can we pass siebel data to OPA Rule Base from two different BO's .
Thank you for your help in advance.

There are two approaches to do this and they both involve making some small changes on the Siebel side.
You can create an Integration Object which contains all the business components that you want to send to OPA if you are using an Integration Object mapping.
If you would prefer to use a Business Object mapping then you will have to create a new Business Object which combines the BCs of all the Business Objects that you want to send to OPA.
As you can see, although one approach involves Integration Objects and one involves Business Objects they both work by creating a single object which is an amalgamation of the information that you want to send to OPA.
    Cheers
    Frank

I'm going to give my old iPad to my granddaughter, I want to create an account for her, but I want to do it on my computer so there are no worries about who is spending credits for that account. Don't know how this will work, or if its possible to two iTunes libraries.
    Okay.
She's going to use your computer to sync with iTunes.
Create an new computer login on your computer for her. This will keep her stuff separate and she won't be able to mess with any of your info.
    Log into her computer account.
    Launch iTunes.
Create a new iTunes account for her. See this -> http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2731
You can enter a credit card to create the account then delete the CC info. Or you can use an iTunes gift card and she can fund the account with gift cards instead of using a CC to make purchases. This is an easy way to control spending.
on the iPad, go to Settings > iMessage > Off.
Then Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content & settings.
Once it finishes, plug in the iPad, select it in iTunes and this will set it up as a new device. Enter all your granddaughter's info.
When she wants to sync her iPad or use iTunes, she needs to log into your computer with her account.
Then the iTunes library she uses will be only hers.

How can I combine two itunes accounts into one?

Items purchased from the iTunes Store are permanently associated with the account from which they were originally purchased.  Apple provides no way to change this.
However, if you wish to put content from two accounts into a single iTunes library, you can easily do so.  Use the command File > Add File (or Folder) to Library.

  • Can I have two different itunes accounts on my computer?

Can I have two different apple itunes accounts on my computer without them having anything to do with each other?

If you've used iTunes Match, automatic downloads or redownloaded an account's past purchases then you will have tied your computer to that account for 90 days : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627 - so you won't be able to do either of those 3 things on a different account until the 90 days have completed.
If you can't wait for the 90 days to finish then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they can remove the association : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
