Can I combine two itunes accounts and libraries?
I recently moved in with my girlfriend. I have an ipod and itunes library on my computer.
she's kept her ipod sync'ed to her work computer. we have copied her library off of that computer to put it on mine.
However, how do I do that and keep the libraries separately?
Thanks
You will probably find this Apple article on multiple iPods on one computer helpful.

How can I combine two itunes accounts into one?
Items purchased from the iTunes Store are permanently associated with the account from which they were originally purchased. Apple provides no way to change this.
However, if you wish to put content from two accounts into a single iTunes library, you can easily do so. Use the command File > Add File (or Folder) to Library. -
My wife and I are going to share a PC,, W7,, can we have seperate iTunes accounts and libraries on the same PC?
Configure your PC for an addtional user account.

Windows users:
Look in your computer's Help documentation to learn how to set up additional user accounts. To locate this information:
Click the Start Menu, and then click Help or Help and Support.
Enter "new user" in the Search field.
Press Return.
If you create multiple user accounts on one computer but want the same media to be available in iTunes for all users, see iTunes: How to share music between different accounts on a single computer. -
HT201342 Can I combine two iTunes accounts into one?
I have two iTunes accounts and there for two accounts I purchase music, movies and apps. This happened because my original iTunes account was my primary email at the time. I thought if I updated that information to a new .mac/.me account it would take my purchases with it, but alas, that didn't happen. I just wound up creating a new account and purchased a few things on that before I realized I had to sign out of one account to sing into the other to update. Anyone with any ideas on how to consolidate my accounts and therefor my purchases in to a single one, like the new .iCloud account extension, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

This is not possible with Apple IDs...

I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

How can I combine two iTunes accounts?
I had an iTunes account at home then created another at work. How can I combine the two?
When I received an iPad2 at work, I was required to have/initiate an account during the setup process. I couldn't remember what email address my personal iTunes account was under, so I set up another and began using it to load required and desired apps on my iPad. Openning my windows laptop for the first time in months, I now see that my personal iTunes account was under a really old email address (which is why I couldn't recall it at work).
The (old) personal account has many podcasts and personal music, yet the new iPad account is linked to my work apps. Is it possible to merge the two?Hi vwalker,
I have the same issue, but it seems that Apple will not let you merge itunes accounts. Refer to this FAQ, specifically the text below:

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.
If you are wondering how using multiple Apple IDs relate to iCloud, see Apple IDs and iCloud.
This is the original website: http://support.apple.com/kb/he37
Now I have to add that this is rather disappointing as I have some purchases on my old itunes account which I would like to merge into my current iTunes account (which was created due to an oversight). The oversight was, I thought my original iTunes was converted to @me.com one when I signed up for the 90 day trial to use mobileme services. -

"I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to consolidate them into a single Apple ID?
At this time, Apple IDs cannot be consolidated. " -
I have two iTunes accounts and was wondering if i can merge them together. I've a new macbook pro and haven't plugged my iPhone in it yet in fear of losing my songs from the previous account.
Go to the Music section of your Library (very top-left corner) and see if your songs are there. The "Purchased" playlist may have been deleted or gotten corrupted, but if that happens it's not a big deal because your music should still be in your main Music Library.
If your music is NOT in the Music section of your Library, then go to the iTunes Store homepage and find the Quick Links list on the right side. At the top of that list, click Purchased and you can redownload all of your previous content that you might have lost. -
Can I have two Itunes accounts on one pc? One is on our PC now, and I have another on a portable back up. I hope I can.......thanks.
Yes, you can have multiple Apple IDs within one iTunes copy.
Note that all purchases will forever be tied to the Apple ID that was used to buy them. You will have to authorize the computer to the new library, as each device can be synced with just a single computer. -

Can you have two itunes accounts on the same computer?
Can you have two itunes accounts on the same computer and if so how do you access them without syncing each others music?
Yes. Use separate iTunes libraries(launch iTunes with the Shift(Windows) or Option(Mac OS X) key held down as needed), or different user accounts on the computer.

When I closed my mobile me account it appears as if it created two iTunes accounts and two iCloud's. Is there a way to combine the apps and data into a single account. I want to get this straightened it before I get a new phone.
Sorry... can't be done. Apple says no when it comes to merging accounts.

can i have two itunes accounts on one computer
Hello Barry
It is a yes and no answer. Yes you can but you cannot have them in the same iTunes library or one of the accounts cannot be associated for 90 days. You would need to have either a separate user or separate iTunes library to have both Apple ID’s on the same computer.
