Can I connect my Airport Extreme with my AT&T phone line

Question

We have an AT&T DSL line and modem in the house and would like to connect that phone line to my Apple Airport?
Is that is something I can do myself?
Does it work good for others out there that use AT&T

I too didn't realise the AE has no modem, so just bought a "Billion 5200s" modem which seems to work just fine.
At the risk of going off topic, but in the spirit of also trying to contribute to the discussion, I initially set up the AE (firmware now 7.4.2) to "connection sharing" which I didn't think was quite correct, as the 5200s modem performs NAT. However, it's worked ok for a couple of days, but then trying to access an "Evocam" connected camera failed from the internet, but fine locally. I suspect both devices doing NAT doesn't work so well.
So, I've just changed AE to bridge mode, & camera access now works
What I still can't do is access my AE connected USB hd from the internet. The few write-ups I've found all seem to presume (but without explicitly stating) NAT is performed by AE. I did briefly try disabling NAT on the modem, but nothing worked then.
Certainly over here, ADSL modems are not too common, manufacturers seemingly preferring to sell only combined modem/routers, which maybe introduce problems for folk new to an AE.
