Hi, I have a WRT54G set up and working fine on my main pc, connected to cable modem with a pc and laptop using linksys adapters. BUT I am trying to connect my third laptop using the internal wireless built in and was wondering how to connect this way. It was easy with the adapters because I used the linksys software that came with them. But with the built-in which is an Intel-PRO, it states the "wireless connection is not connected" and when I access the properties it tells me that I should configure with the software that came with the device. I'm running XP as the OS. I'm stumped. Any advice? Thanks.

In the non-working computer, temporarily turn off the software firewall, and see if this helps.
Also, what wireless card are you using? The Intel Pro Wireless 2200bg card is known to have connection problems that were fixed with the latest driver. If you have this card, go to the Intel web site and download and install the latest driver.

Best practice for home setup/Roaming with built-in Dell wireless card?

I have a client with a huge house; I have done a site survey and it will require 3 APs to blanket the entire thing. I am wonderig what the best way to set this up for him would be? He would like to be able to walk around with the house and not lose connectivity. He is attempting to use his built-in Dell wireless card/client. As far as I know, these do not support Cisco roaming. What I have done is setup 3 diffrent SSIDs for each part of the house. Depending on his location he manually connects to the correct AP. Is this the best setup?
I had attempted to set all APs with the same SSIDs but found that the client would not roam and also found it difficult to connect to any of the APs at all. I believe the card was getting confused since there was overlap of the same SSID.

If he has a huge house, I don't think his laptop would be that old and also, the Dell's use the Intel wifi cards. Having all 3 ap's setup for the same SSID is what you should do and don't know why you are having so many issues. I would assume the ap's are on channel 1, 6, and 11 and how is the power setting? Do all these ap's run back to the same switch?

HELP! Can't connect on 2 or more wireless connection

I have WRT110 Linksys wireless router. I also have the latest firmware. fw 1.0.04. I have no problems connecting wired connections(2 PCs) and 1 wireless connection. However, when i tried connecting 2 or more wireless connections(3 laptops). All computers gets disconnected. I need to turn off the router again and my computers to get connected but only 2 PCs and 1 wireless laptop... Any help please! I already talked to tech support and no help! We tried to power cycle, reset for 30 secs, remove adapter, cables, etc. and didn't help! Same results! Can't connect on 2 or more wireless connections. We edited the basic wireless setting to WEP/WPA personal, band, channels, still no luck too! Im getting frustrated with this router. PLEASE HELP! I have Time Warner Road Runner cable internet. Sorry, I updated another thread I was a part of but didn't update my own thread.....ughhh!
I updated all of my ATV 2's and 3's to the latest firmware when it was released and have been problem free since. I do believe the major issue of not being able to connect after a period of inactivity has been corrected with the latest ATV firmware.
I can look at my network connection table using "netstat -an" in a CMD window and I do not see the massive number of connections I saw before the update.

WRT110 Can't connect MAC and PC to wireless network at the same time.

I installed a WRT110 router on my son-in-law's MAC sometime back and at the time configured it to have the MAC connected via Ethernet. My PC laptop worked fine with it in the wireless mode. Recently we changed the MAC to wireless newtworking and removed the Ehthernet connection. Now if the MAC connects to the wireless network first and then I attempt to connect with my PC laptop the PC cannot find the network and the MAC loses connection. If I shut my PC down the MAC will not find the network until it is put to sleep and reawakened. If the MAC is put to sleep my PC wil immediately find the network. If I first connect my PC and then awaken the MAC both work fine. I've checked all of the router's setup settings and they seem to be OK. I am not MAC savvy and my son-in-law is a neophyte at computers so we are really helpless when something doesn't work. Help will be appreciated.

I tried this setup change after reading another similar post. It didn't help. One thing I had wrong in the first post is that neither computer will connect to the wireless net after we experience the wireless failures until both are turned off, at least that is what happened after making the suggested changes. Is this a WRT110 issue? Seems there are quite a few posts similar to mine.

In non tech language if you have a bell Internet thing then you just go to settings and wifi and it should show something like bell... And if you have something else then there's a big chance you would need a wireless router. Go to the source they have cheap ones.

there are 2 recent posts that suggest issues over 5, one where someone was trying to troubleshoot for a friend or client as they couldn't keep more than 5 connected, and the other where somone had more than 5 but was using 2 separate itunes libraries to share the load - not sure if that was with the same or differing AppleIDs.
I guess there is always the possibility that things kight vary from one itunes version to the next even unintentionally to allow more.

I can't connect with Turkey!

Hi! I have a problem. I'm from Poland and can't connect with my friend from Turkey using Skype. It's strange coz she is the only one from my friends with whom i can't establish connection. And she is from Turkey. I talked to people from US, South Africa and other remote countries but I can't establish connection with Turkey! And i'm from Poland. Does Turkey block connection from Poland? She has the same problem. She can't connect only with me - she talks to people from all over the world expect me. Can you help me?

I want to create a system(Solman 4.0) in Portal.I have created a SAP system using dedicated application server and then I filled all necessary fields.I tested with using system connection test.There are two test nameS(SAP Web AS Connection and Connection test for Connectors)Firstly, I checked WAS Connection and everything was ok but when I tested "Connection Test for Connectors" it didn't work.When I clicked test button, it said "Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct" but I didn't use UIDPW.I used the Logon Ticket method and system_type is SAP_CRM but when I checked log file, it said this message "(R3/BW) Failed to get connection. Please contact your admin".I didin't understand because I have already used SAP_CRM syte sytem type.Why do I get this message. In addition, The ume.usermapping.unsecure is already on TRUE.In short, I can't connect with using connector.What's the problem?

I can TNSPing ok...I just can't connect with toad or sqlplus anymore from another computer..
