Can I continue to edit in LR after exporting an image under edit. i see that my PSD file are now only JPG

Newbie at using LR. I tried my hand a first of images. I firgured out how to export to JPG but then found that in my LR I no longer had PSD file and all my editing Histroy was gone. I could see the JPG files.
Is there a way to print out (to JPG) incremental changes but still continue to work on the images?

Because you're new to Lightroom you might not have noticed that the selected image changed when you exported. But more than that, the selected image source in the catalog changed. In the Library module, I'm sure that when you were editing your PSD file, the folder it was in was selected. But after you do an export, that changes so that it says Previous Export shows in the Catalog panel on the left, and the only contents of the Previous Export is the one JPG, so that's all you can see right now. But if you were to go back and re-select the folder on the left with the PSD in it, you'd see your PSD again. And when you select the PSD, all the edits will be there.
So nothing is lost, it's just that you're now looking at a view that contains only the exported file.
If you exported the JPG to the same folder as the original, you can choose Library > Go to Folder in Library and you'll be back there with both the original and the JPG listed. There are other ways to get back to the preview source like the left Back arrow at the top of the Filmstrip if you have that open.

I don't think you can because a Photoshop file (PSD) with layers will be flattened when you open up in Photoshop Touch.
I prepared a Photoshop file with one layer of image, one layer of text over a background using Photoshop CS6 on my Mac Pro and upload the PSD file onto Creative Cloud. I then open this file in Photoshop Touch (on iPad) but it comes out as a single flat layer merging all three layers. Hope this helps.

I'd like to make some minor changes in PS and would like to access individual layers - e.g. the text, background, etc. When I open the psd file, however, it only has one layer. how do I break out the original layers so that I can edit them?

You can't. Once it's been flattened, you can't unflatten it. Talk to your designer: he/she will most likely have the unflattened version available.

So is this the way Apple works now? Not solving customers problems? I'm sure so many users have had this problem. I've had, and I reinstalled Mavericks 3 times. Works fine for some days and then several Apple Apps stop working. Is that a way to force us ti update to Yosemite? (I don't want to) and then pay to update some third party programs (i.e. Pro Tools). Also, there are so many 15" MacBooks Pro with graphic problems and of course the guys at the Apple Service Centers always say: "It's the logic board, you can have it replaced, but it's so expensive I would recommend a new Mac". I really, really miss Steve Jobs!

I can't share my Final Cut X project : the process does not start. it seems that the project files is not found by the application. why ?

I crate a project on Final Cut pro X. A 52 mn movie, that works really good on the time line. But I can't export it on DVD or IPad or other devices. The process is engaed but without effective effect. After one hour no result. It seems that the "project" files is not physically recognise by Final Cut export routine. Thanks for the help, but i've actually done that before.
It does not help, because it only shows the photos on the camera roll and do not show the photos synchronized with that pc that i dont have access anymore.
The photos/albums all appear on the ipad, i can see it without problems but i cant get them out of the ipad to save onto pc for backup.
And i reaaly need it, as it is the only place that i actually have these photos now...

File appears to be unsupported or damaged after exporting an image.

After exporting an Image I wanted to go back into the development module and make another tonal correction. After clicking on develop I received this error "File appears to be unsupported or damaged". What happened? I had just toned and exported it. The file is on an external hard drive and is a Canon MKII CR2. I'm using Lightroom 4 on a Mac Book Pro. Thanks.

As far as I know there is no download resource for older Macromedia programs and it is highly unlikely that one as old as version 3 of Fireworks will be able to work on a Windows 8.1 system. I was unable to get a Studio 8 version installation on a Vista system, and likely even an XP system (cannot remember that far back).

It sounds unlikely that multiple PSD files have become corrupted. My first thought when seeing the thread title was a bad Windows FAT (File Allocation Table) but even that sounds unlikely to only affect PSD files. So I'd be looking at the common denominator, which is Photoshop. Have you tried creating a new document, and saving and reopening?
I think I'd try opening the files with another app like Irfanview, or just reinstalling Photoshop. Do you have the files backed up?

Congrats on your new Z10! I know having the right features is important. The Z10 uses Blackberry link software. The device uses the mobile hotspot feature to non-cord tether the device. The mobile hotspot feature is an additional cost. You can add this feature online http://vz.to/1di2TlT .

Those are the constituent parts of a standard mpeg2 DVD. Storing them is easy: just copy the folder to your hard drive and they will play in DVD player or VLC.
But that format is not intended for editing. To do so:
You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:

The movies themselves are stored only once. The other files you're seeing are small ones that are used to reference, display and access the main file. If you check the file sizes, you'll see that only one (the movie file itself) is large.
If you don't want anything saved but the main file, stop using iMovie.

Yes. Export as QT and drag file into Compressor. Select the DVD preset (either make adjustments via Inspector or not…your call) output either to your optical drive or create a disk image. You should be able to continue to work on your project while the DVD is being encoded and output.
There may be other ways as well…I'm still in discovery mode when it comes to X.
