Can I continue to use AA 1.5 if I get CS4 Production Premium?

I bought the CS4 Production Premium to use Premiere and Photoshop. CS4 comes with Soundbooth. I have no desire whatsoever to use SB. I've used AA for years and want to continue. But can I do that? Or will CS4 force me to update AA?
I've been thinking of upgrading, but I have no real need for it. Perhaps this will force me to... another question: if AA 1.5 will not work, (hopefully it does) surely AA 3 will, right?

Fortunately for you, the answer is all good news. All versions of Audition can co-exist with each other, and no version of CS will interfere with them either. It's true that later versions will interface better with CS, but AFAIK there's nothing to stop you working the way you are at present if you install a new CS version. Soundbooth is certainly intended to interface with CS rather more intimately, I believe, but if you are happy with AA1.5, then there's no reason why you shouldn't continue to use it.

Like ckuan said, Apple does not unlock iPhone; your carrier does, provided that the carrier offers this service.
Unfortunately, SoftBank does not offer authorized unlocking of iPhone.
Your best option is to sell this phone and buy another iPhone from the carrier of your choice or better buy a factory unlocked iPhone so you would be able to use it with any compatible GSM carrier around the world.

You can, why do you think it's not possible? Does need updating?
Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

Can I continue to use Ideas until Draw gets needed updates?

Draw has a great list of new features that got me really excited to try it out. But a few key differences between Illustrator Draw and Adobe Ideas—specifically, features that got dropped—means it's unlikely I can really switch right now, given my current workflow. Here are a few of the features I've come to rely on in Ideas that are not included in Illustrator Draw:
-Export as vector pdf. I honestly can't believe this one isn't included. Essentially, this means that anyone who isn't paying the monthly fee for a Creative Cloud subscription cannot use Draw in conjunction with Illustrator on the desktop. While Ideas could at least email a vector pdf, Draw offers jpg (jpg!) only, or a png to Creative Cloud storage, which pretty much defeats the purpose of the app for users on even slightly older versions of Illustrator.
-Wacom stylus support isn't working, despite what the FAQ says. (A recent post here suggests this will be fixed in an update.) Giving up pressure-sensitivity is a deal breaker.
-No portrait mode. This isn't the end of the world, but as someone who does a lot of portrait work, having my toolbars adjust to my orientation is a great help when working. (Also said to be coming in an update.)
-No color picker. Near-essential for working from a source photo. Having to return to the color palette/history each time is a huge time drain.
And while I'm here, I'll beg for one other feature I'd love to see: support for background transparency is something I always wished for in Ideas but never got. Would be a great help for anyone making logos or other graphics that are laid over other content.
What I'm wondering about for now is the fate of Adobe Ideas—can I continue to use it while waiting for Illustrator Draw to be updated, or will it no longer be able to sync/export? And when Draw is updated, will I be able to get my Ideas drawings imported into the updated app? (I've already done the "one-time fetch" of my Ideas files.) Hope all that doesn't sound like too much complaining; I'm really excited about the direction the app is taking!

You can export via email, but the file is a jpg in Draw. Ideas sent pdfs, Draw does not. So unless you have a paid CC subscription, you can't get a vector file into Illustrator anymore.
The background transparency issue is about using Draw while on the go, without importing into Illustrator. Any image saved from the app has a white background. Of course it's easy to save with a transparent background in Illustrator, but it would be nice to have that option in the app itself. (In other words, if I don't have anything in the Photo layer, I wish it would be transparent, not filled with white.)
So if I'm using the app while mobile, I can't, for instance, make a quick logo drawing and lay it on top of a client's screenshot to give them an idea of how it might look.

I'm testing Windows 7 at home with CS3 Production Premium and have not had any issues. Of course CS4 is quite a bit different.

On our systems at work that have XP and Vista + CS4 Production Premium. I've noticed this with preview files in particular and possibly some others, I don't remember. The "show only exact file" checkbox is greyed out. This is somewhat annoying because projects can have a huge number of preview files with long cryptic names making it a pain to locate the correct one manually to get the ball rolling. If I don't think it'll take too long to re-render, I just select "skip preview files".

Can I continue to use my existing TM dataset after re-installing OS X

I just completed a complete system re-install on my iMac, using the Leopard install DVD, and my time-machine backup on a Drobo. Worked great, the issues I was having before have been fixed, I'm good to go.
However, I would like to carry on adding to the "old" TM dataset, rather than start a new one. Is that possible? TM asks whether I would like to use Drobo as a backup disk, but if I say yes, it doesn't seem to know about the old data. I can browse it from the "look at other TM data" (or whatever it says, I know it isn't exactly that) but then it reverts to the new set.
Incidentally, the whole re-install and restore process was very smooth once I realised that doing a TM restore during the OS X installation would restore my account, files, data etc but not my newly installed OS X system stuff (which was exactly what I wanted), and my confidence in and respect for TM has increased a whole lot.

It sounds like you imported the data from your TM backup during the setup assistant phase. In that case you can't continue your old TM backup sequence and need to start a new one.
TM has a different restore option which restores the entire system exactly as it was on a backup and this does allow continuing your old backups. however, it sounds like you didn't want to do keep your old OS install. You should still be able to browse your old backups from TM by control-clicking on TM in the dock and choosing "browse other TM disks".

Can't Deactivate CS4: Production Premium

Trying to deactivate, but keep getting this message:

Unable to Connect...
We were unable to connect to Adobe. This could be because you do not have an active internet connection, or because you are currently using a firewall or a proxy server.

I've shut down my fiewall and antivirus, checked proxy settings and still can't get it to deactivate. Needless to say, I am connected to the internet. I tried pinging activate.adobe.com and it comes back fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anything with you "hosts" file perhaps? Some securiuty tools also add dummy entries there to prevent bad connections. Could of course also be some virus having done something. Other than that I can't think of much, but there might something with your network setup still... Best to try Wireshark or similar tools and see where those packets might get lost...

HT4527 Can I continue to use two Macs with one iTunes library?

I currently have an iMac with my iTunes library stored on an external drive, and a shiny new MacBook Pro waiting for me at the Apple Store. If I transfer my entire library from the external drive to a new MacBook, can I still access my library seemlessly on my old iMac [possibly using Home Sharing]? I would like to use both computers to access the same content, in an office and then mobile setting.
Also, if I continue to make purchases on my old iMac from Amazon or eMusic, is there a way to automatically store/transfer those on the new MacBook, the same way they are automatically stored on the external drive now?
I do have the capability and plan on connecting my external drive to my AirPort Extreme after the transfer, if that makes any difference.

See I wouldn't want to necessarily make a copy, but rather copy the library itself; so it is no longer stored on the external drive, and it's new home would be the MacBook Pro. I was wondering if I could access the MacBook library from my iMac the same way I access the external drive on my iMac. Or if I'm overthinking the Home Sharing service and really have nothing to worry about.
I do have my entire library in the iCloud, and am a Match subscriber, but it is important that I have the songs actually stored on my MacBook so I can access them when I am without an internet connection.

I hated the new version (tabs above everything) so went back to old version. Now I keep getting the reminders. How long can I safely use my old version. And is there hope for future versions going back to the tabs UNDER the URL line???

There will be a 3.6.23 update on about September 27 and the security updates are to continue until otherwise.
If you want the tab bar on bottom on newer versions just right-click toolbar and uncheck "Tabs on Top".
