Can I control my iphone from an accessory using the 30 pin/lightning adapter?

I want to use my old accessories to control an iPhone 5s (e.g. skip tracks using my dock remote control), does the 30 pin/lightning adapter work for this or is it just for charging/audio out?

I want to use multiple iPads as external monitors from a PC using the iPad VGA adapter (wired)

I want to send a VGA signal to a couple of iPads using them as monitors. I currently use a pair of regular 13" VGA 1024x768 lcd monitors looping thru an LCD projector displaying the same signal sent to the projector.
I want to use the iPad VGA adapter and WIRE them in just like a convention LCD monitor. Yes there are apps like air display and others but they don't allow cloning and have latency issues and must be networked. I need an app to use the VGA adapter and actually wire them in using a VGA signal from my existing VGA distrubution amp.
The size of the iPad is perfect for my application however I cannot find an app to let me send a signal into the iPad via VGA adapter.
Any ideas?

You can suspend your service but you won't be able to use the US iphone on Orange. The US iPhone is carrier locked to ATT.

HT1947 I can't connect my iPhone to my iTunes using the Remote app

I've looked at all the instructional help threads, done everything multiple times and when I connect my iPhone to iTunes, it still doesn't work. The Remote app icon doesn't show up under devices in iTunes. I have tried to reconfigure my iTunes settings but I can't find the option, "Look for ipod touch, iphone and ipad remotes" under my preferences. HELP!

If your iPhone is not seeing your computer, then something on your network is blocking it. Do you use any security software on your computer? Check your router to make sure that it is not blocking any of the following ports, referred to your router manual if you need to do so:
80 TCP (http)
123 TCP/UDP (time server)
443 TCP (https)
554 TCP/UDP (rtsp)
3689 TCP (daap)
5353 UDP (mdns)
Specifically, home sharing uses TCP port 3689 and UDP port 5353 to communicate with other devices.

I can't print multiple pages from a website using the site's print button or 'file - print' and if I try to save as a PDF, it still only saves the first page and then cuts off.

I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.8 and Firefox version 3.6.8. When I'm on a website and try to print the info on the site, whether I use the site's own 'print' option, or I go to the Firefox toolbar and try to use 'File->Print', only 1 page prints out - it just cuts off mid-page. If I try to save as a PDF instead, the same thing happens in exactly the same spot - it saves as a 1-page PDF and cuts off in the middle of the page. I've already tried all of the suggestions here https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Printing+a+web+page?s=printing&as=s and the suggestions here http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problems_printing_web_pages and nothing has worked.

I have the same problem... not being able to print website 'Print' pages. I have read carefully the above link and have followed the reset directions in about:config, but I still cannot print in Firefox. Both Google Chrome and IE work perfectly every time. I have verified that the correct printer is selected and that the margins are in order (0.5 all around happen to be what mine are set for). I have resorted to use the Firefox Add On "View this Page in IE" whenever I need to print something. Works like a charm, but come on... it should work in Firefox too! I know there is some setting or something, but the Problems_printing_web_pages link had nothing there that worked for me.

The iPhone has a "remote" app that lets you control Keynote on a Mac, but not on another iOS device (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch).
There are some apps that let you control limited content on another iOS device - but the content has to be within the app. You might check out SyncPad - perhaps you can import the presentation into it and then control it on the iPad.

You might also try removing all gmail passwords from your keychain in Keychain Access. Then connect again and enter the password code given by Google.

Looking for app that will allow me to control my iphone from my desktop. I would like to be able to send text messages, etc from my computer instead of using my iphone. I don't want to jailbreak my phone. Does anyone know of app like this?

Windows or Mac? You can at least send iMessages from a Mac with Mountain Lion installed.
There are apps that let you do the reverse (control the computer from the phone). I don't know of any that let you go the other way. It would be kind of cool if we could do this though. But, I suppose it could open up a Pandora's box of security problems for the phone itself. Just imagine somebody hacking into your phone remotely and using it without your permission....

This may not be the forum for this question, but I couldn't find my answer online so here it goes: I happened to flip on Remote Desktop at home today and saw that my iPhone was picked up in the local machine scan. Does anyone know if I can add iPhone to my list of computers and view/control it from my admin machine?
