Can i control surface logic 9 with digi 002 mixer? on snow leopard 10.6.8

Hi I'm trying to connect my digi002 mixer to use it as a control surface with logic 9, is there anyway of doing this?
I have an RME Hammerfall DSP Multiface II, that I'm using as my main sound card, but would like to light it with the 002 and use the 002 converters as well, so that in total i get 16 channels I/O + if I could get control surface of logic with the 002 would be great.....
I heard about the Multi-Client CoreAudio Driver, but not 100% sure if and how it works to control surface logic with 002.
Anyone???
Help please....
Thx...

I assume you have working installer discs? If so here's a suggestion:
Clean Install of Snow Leopard
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
     1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard Installer Disc.  Insert the disc into the
optical drive and restart the computer.  After the chime press and hold down the
"C" key.  Release the key when you see a small spinning gear appear below the
         dark gray Apple logo.
     2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
size.)  Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.  Set the number of
partitions to one (1) from the Partitions drop down menu, set the format type to Mac
OS Extended (Journaled, if supported), then click on the Partition button.
     3. When the formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed
with the OS X installation and follow the directions included with the installer.
     4. When the installation has completed your computer will Restart into the Setup
Assistant. Be sure you configure your initial admin account with the exact same
username and password that you used on your old drive. After you finish Setup
Assistant will complete the installation after which you will be running a fresh
install of OS X.  You can now begin the update process by opening Software
Update and installing all recommended updates to bring your installation current.

Is Logic Pro X compatible with Digi 002?

It s a problem for me to upgrade from my  late 2007 macbook Core2Duo 2,16ghz system running snow leopard and protools 7.4.2 through digi 002 rack, Command 8 and emagic Unitor 8mk2, to my new  macbook pro i5 2,5ghz...
I chose this MBP cos it has both firewire and thunderbolt BUT... people told me digi 002 would only work as a 16 input channels. No way to  use the ADAT inputs from the digi... And to me it s the most important thing : i need the extra 8 inputs and mainly use the digital mixer convertors instead of the digi 002 convertors. So haow about you?  does the adat work properly ?
Another problem : command 8 seems not to be supported either.
so before buying logic pro x , i need to know if it s gonna work normally and completly : spdif, adat and analog input, midi /i/o AND  command 8 integration.
I m not sure it might work either on Avid software  ( a shame !!)
I m ok to work again with logic after my 7 years using only protools IF i dont have to buy another audio interface and another  midi controller...
here is the link for the last driver :

here is a link for the command 8 drive rfor those who are lucky enough to have a protools 10

How is it possible that an "upgrade"  finally results is a downgrade, as my new system cant match with  the old one...
Unitor 8mk2 is perfectly working on 10.8.5 hop eit will work on 10.10 either...

The iPhone has a "remote" app that lets you control Keynote on a Mac, but not on another iOS device (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch).
There are some apps that let you control limited content on another iOS device - but the content has to be within the app. You might check out SyncPad - perhaps you can import the presentation into it and then control it on the iPad.

  • Can anyone please tell me which version of Photoshop Elements will download easily and run with mac 10.5.8 Snow Leopard?

I posted a question which was: Can anyone please tell me which version of Photoshop Elements will work with Mac 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.  Then this window popped up saying mark this discussion with as a question and this window.  I have no idea how this works. It already is a question and if I need to emphasize that, how does this window that looks like a Word editing window, help me do that?Downloading, Installing, Setting Up

You asked the question in the title area instead of the area where the body of your posting is intended to be.  No fault of yours - they need to make the form clearer.
Check the system requirements for the various versions of Photoshop Elements and see which suits your system.  Adobe only sells the most recent versions of their software, so if you need an older version you will need to find a vendor for it.

  • I have a mid 2010 Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard and foolishly upgraded to Yosemite.  Is it possible to go back in time with Time Machine and reinstall Snow Leopard.  Then upgrade to Lion or Mavericks?  Any other ideas on how I can exit Yosemite?

I have a mid 2010 Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard and foolishly upgraded to Yosemite. Now have numerous problems.  Is it possible to go back in time with Time Machine and reinstall Snow Leopard?  Then upgrade to Lion or Mavericks?  Any other ideas on how I can exit Yosemite?

Once you get yourself back to Snow Leopard, if you still want to upgrade somewhat, I would suggest the following:
    1. Get an external hard drive that you can use for experiments with new OS versions. You could partition it into 2 or 3 partitions. You could then clone your existing Snow Leopard system to one partition using Carbon Copy Cloner (well worth $40) or SuperDuper ($25).
    2. Buy OS X Mountain Lion for $20, through the Apple online store (I don't think it's available through the App Store). Apple has decided to make it very difficult for anyone to get Mavericks unless they have already downloaded it.
You will receive two e-mails from Apple, one containing a PDF with a redemption code, and one with the password you will need to unlock the PDF. Using the code, you will download Mountain Lion from the App Store, where it will appear among your Purchased items.
After ML finishes downloading, its installer app will launch itself. When you see this launch screen, QUIT the install app immediately! Go to your applications folder, find the Install OS X Mountain Lion app, and copy it to a safe location outside of your Applications folder. Keeping one or more copies will allow you to reinstall without unnecessary aggravation if you later need or want to do that. At this point, you can re-launch the Installer in the Applications folder and let it run. You can install it on a clean partition on your external HD, or you can allow it to upgrade the Snow Leopard clone you created on your external drive, or you can do both. This should allow you to test how everything works for as long as you like.
    3. If you left yourself a free partition on your test drive, try a clean install of Yosemite and set everything up from scratch (do not migrate anything). This will allow you to see whether your problems with it were related to something in your Snow Leopard system.

  • I have a MacBook Pro with Intel Core Duo and Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Want to upgrade to Lion to take advantage of icloud. Is there anything I can do without getting a new MacPro?

I have a MacBook Pro with Intel Core Duo and Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Would like to upgrade to Lion but it requires a minimum of Intel Core 2 Duo. Can I get what I need or do I have to buy new MacBok Pro?

I also have a core duo MBP with Snow Leopard and it runs perfectly.  There are very few things it cannot do as compared to the faster, newer MBPs, but that is attributable to the CPU, not the OS.  There are some who view Lion as downgrade rather than as an improvement.  If there are important applications that reqire a fast CPU or Lion features that you find essential, by all means get a new MBP.
I have an aphorism:  Obsolescence is more often a perception rather than a reality.  Besides the silver keys look much classier than the black ones.
    Ciao.

  • How can I format an HD with System 10.4 and install Leopard Snow?

How can I format an HD with System 10.4 and install Leopard Snow?

You need to partion the hard drive using Disk Utility. On one partition install 10.4. On the other 10.6. As a note I trust you are doing this on a MBP and not a PPC Mac because 10.6 won't install.

I´m using snow leopard the last version. What can i do to solve this problem and and continue using my itunes normally?

Try doing it in a WIndows Safe mode - Restart computer and hit F8 key right after your see BIOS check and choose "Safe mode with networking"
    Do the SFC /SCANNOW again.
If that does not work, whilst in safe mode, download Free Malwarebyte software from CNET's Download.com.  Install, update virus definition then perform a full scan.  Remove if it did find some viruses or trojans.  Restart computer.
Back to regular windows, do the SFC /SCANNOW again.
If that doesnot work, check to see if your Hard drive has errors or bad sectors
GO START BUTTON /COMPUTER, right mouse click OS (C:) and choose "Properties"
Choose "Tools" tab and under error checking, click "Check Now".
Make sure "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" is checked and click start.
Restart windows will perform the above task to fix errors  This may take hours depends on how big is your Hard Drive
    Good Luck!!.

If you want to get rid of Windows and the BC partition use the Boot Camp assistant program to remove the Win/BC partition. Don't do it manually with Disk Utility Use the BC A program.

  • Anyone else having major problems with Safari 5.1 on Snow Leopard?

is anyone else having major problems with Safari 5.1 on Snow Leopard?
    - address bar and search box are not resizing with browser window. the address bar and seach box set their size to the window when Safari is launched and remain that size.
    - anytime i try to customize toolbar items disappear and i have to restart Safari to get them to appear.
    - some 3rd party icons just remove themselves from the toolbar after a period of time
    - when i drag a page from the tab bar to create it's own browser window the window disappears but is listed in the windows menu bar. when i select that window from the menu bar the window appears but i can't click on anything.
I've repaired permissions numerous times, reinstalled safari numerous times and restarted my machine numerous times and the issues all remain. i've never had any issues with Safari until now and 5.1 is looking like a huge mess.
besides the bugs above, has anyone had any luck with 1password working with Safari 5.1?

ok, i narrowed most of my issues down to Web Snapper and Videobox by TastyApps. Removed both of those and now everything works better.
I went out to lunch and came back an hour later and magically ALL of my previous toolbar icons that were added to my previous version of Safari appeared. Very strange.
as for 1password, it wasn't working at all before when i posted. everytime i tried installing the extension via the app my, Safari would open a window and hang (never load). I just tried it again and it seems to now be working.

  • Problems with iCal Server 2 and Snow Leopard Clients

I am currently running iCal Server 2 on Snow Leopard Server, with approximately 6 client computers connected to a single shared calendar account.  I have digest authentication enabled, and am thus using Kerberos (but not SSH), as well as 3 iPhones.
Upon initial connection, I can get all the clients - computers and phones - to properly pull down all the calendar data, and match one another.  However, several of the computers are having trouble updating properly when new events are added.  After some troubleshooting, it seems that the computers running Snow Leopard are not properly updating with events that are entered from other computers, either Snow Leopard or Leopard.  They can, however, post events to the server themselves without any errors.  Interestingly, the Leopard computers can push and pull updated events just fine, and will update with new events whether they originated from a Snow Leopard or a Leopard client.
We had some recurring login/authentication issues a while back, which seemed to resolve when I disabled digest authentication; I'm wondering if perhaps that has something to do with the problems now.  We're mostly using BusyCal as client software, with the iPhones obviously using iCalendar.
Just looking to see if anyone else has had similar problems, with Leopard clients working well and Snow Leopard clients having issues.  Thanks!

    Noby_me,
A lot of folk are having major issues with many Adobe programs and Snow Leopard. You are not alone. For many, rolling-back to Leopard has been the cure. From "word on the street," it appears that Apple is aware of these issues and are working on an OS update. I have no schedule, but that word was out about a month ago, so let's hope that the update is soon in coming.
You might want to do a Search on this, the Encore and the PS fora for "Snow Leopard." There are plenty articles.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

It will input your Quicken PPC data file directly if it was Quicken 2005 through 2007.  If older you need Quicken 2006 or 2007 PPC first to convert your data file; and this update must be done BEFORE you upgrade to Mavericks:
