Can I convert my standard ratio?

I imported my videos into iMovie and then when it was finished I exported them out. Afterwards I deleted the originals. (The files were to big to fit on my external hard drive. So when I exported them back out iMovie compressed them to less than half the original size.) When I went back later and opened them I realized that I had the project using a widescreen ratio instead of standard so I lost a bit of quality. Is there a way I can convert them back to standard ratio?

Unfortunately you now have the quality you have, however assuming you exported to an mpeg format and don't have any chapters in your movie you can reimported it and place it in a 4:3 project. To ensure your video fits the 4:3 RA properly you may need to adjust it's cropping in the crop window (advanced tools)

Both our CreatePDF and ExportPDF services will convert a PDF into an editable document (Word, Excel). Please consider either of these services.

  • FCE4 - can I convert HD footage to Standard Definition to put on a DVD

Can FCE4 convert HD footage so I can convert it as if SD and then transfer to DVD (rather than Bluray Disc).
    Many thanks

You say that when you tried iDVD earlier you got jerky footage.
This sounds rather like the problem I discovered 18 months ago with my HDV camera.
Still shots were reck solid but any subject or camera movement (panning) resulted in unacceptable judder and shimmer.
There are 2 workarounds I eventually came across.
    1. Use your camera to down-convert to DV-PAL as you capture and edit it as DV. However, if your camera can't down-convert you will have to use method 2.
    2. Edit your AIC in the timeline. Then create a new DV-PAL (NTSC) Anamorphic sequence. Copy your edited HDV/AIC to the new sequence. Do not alter anything. Render the sequence ..... this will take a long time - up to twice the length of the project. Then File>Export>QuickTime Movie (Not Self-contained).
However, if you use the QT Movie in iDVD you will get a squashed 4:3 movie, so first of all you must make QT stretch it out to its proper 16:9 dimensions like this:-
    a. Open the exported movie file in the QT Pro player.
    b. Go to Window>Show Movie Properties.
    c. Select the "Video Track" and in the "Visual Settings" panel uncheck "Preserve Aspect Ratio".
    d. In the "Scaled Size" box set the width to 1024 pixels for PAL.
    e. The "Video Track" will have turned grey, so click it to make it blue again.
    f. The opened movie file will jump to 16:9.
    g. Close it with the red button and click Save.
If you haven't got QT Pro you may be able to export using QT Conversion to DV-PAL, changing the output size to 1024x576.

Can I convert PDF to PPT using adobe acrobat x standard? If so, how?

    Hi meganl52100253,
With Acrobat X, you can save to Word and Excel format by choosing File > Save As. But saving to PowerPoint wasn't introduced until Acrobat XI.
You're welcome to try Acrobat if you'd like. You can download a free 30-day trial from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

How can one convert a picture to 1080 pixels in height at 72 dpi and retain the aspect ratio?

The ppi has nothing to do with this. It will stay at whatever it is.
Go to image>resize>resize image, turn ON Resample image and enter 1080 for the height, making sure to leave constrain proportions turned on. Don't mess with the ppi setting.
If the image is set to another ppi setting, then after you're done with the above, go back into that window, turn OFF resample image, and set the ppi to 72. PPI only affects the inc/cm measurement.

I have 8mm films transferred to .avi files at 18fps.  Can I use Final Cut Express to convert to standard DVDs to play on a US TV?

    Hi
I was hoping that FCE would be able to handle the coversion from 18 to 30fps but that appears not to be the case.
It does - If I'm not totally wrong. Can be to much using FinalCut Pro (6)
    Start FCE
Select type of project You want to do
    I guess - NTSC 29.97fps - Select that from FCE menu / Easy Set-up
    Start a new Sequence
DROP A PHOTO in TimeLine - at beginning.
Now project is locked to 29.97 fps
Now import and drop the 18fps clip in TimeLine.
Select to convert it to match the setting of TimeLine.
IF THIS IS A GOOD WAY - I hesitate to say - It works - but if quality is OK or not - I don't know
I DO : use JES_Deinterlacer (free from Internet) to convert the frame rate in my clips (usually 25fps) to 29.97 fps - Then and first then I import the converted clip into FinalCut to be used in my NTSC projects.
The quality done in this way - is very good and the program is free - so I can not want any better.

    HI
    GOOD
I NEVER FACED SUCH KIND OF ISSUES, BUT HERE I AM GIVING SOME DETAILS ABOUT SAP RDI FORMAT,I HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.
    Description
Using the SAPscript Raw Data Interface (RDI), you can connect external text management systems to control individual requests, for example, optimizing postage expense. The interface contains all form data from the R/3 System, but no layout information such as font or page size. The external system alone is responsible for the layout and administration of the document data. The RDI is of special importance for mail processing. The external system sorts the document data from the interface and forwards the documents accordingly.
The Raw Data Interface is a certified interface and allows easy connection to external systems. However, you pay the price for this extra function, as you lose tight integration with the R/3 System. For example, you cannot find out from within an R/3 application whether the external system successfully printed and sent the documents. In addition, extra expense is incurred each time you adapt a standard form, since the system has to adapt both an internal and external form. The external tool is not an integral part of the ABAP Development Workbench, so that field information (field type, output length and so on) from the ABAP Dictionary is not available.

    Hello guys,
how can I convert a string like
    "This is a%test%"

I try to with   REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF '%' IN string_above WITH space,

I read some posts that CSV will ignore space.
But which kind of symbol in CSV represents space?

  • How can I change the aspect ratio of an image display

I am snapping a sequence of images and using imgPlot to diplay the images. However, due to my camera specifications [it's a Pulnix 9701 with Pixel Size 11.6μm (H) X 13.3μm (V)], the image I get displayed is elongated in the horizontal direction, i.e. if I snap an image of a square, I get a rectangle on my computer display.
How can I change the aspect ratio of the display on my computer? The only parameters I have seen so far just control what portion of the image is acquired or diplayed, but none actually changes the aspect ratio.
Thanks in advance for any help.

If you are using an analog camera, you can set the aspect ratio in MAX. This will correct for non-square pixels.
If you are using a digital camera, I don't think there is a way to fix it during acquisition. You could resample the image to correct the ratios, but that would be a slow, time consuming process.
One other possibility is that your computer monitor is in a mode which is not a standard 4x3 configuration. For example 640x480 and 800x600 are 4:3 ratios. 1200x1024 is not, which tends to distort your displayed images.

  • How to preserve data when converting a Standard DSO into a Write Optimized

    Hi,
I'm looking for proven strategies for preserving data when converting a standard DSO into a write optimized DSO. The data has to be dropped before the new DSO is transported into the environment.
    1. The DSO is currently in synch with a cube,
    2. The PSA does not have all the data which is in the DSO.
    3. Data volume is incredibly high for a full reload from ECC, so we'd like to avoid that option.
    Appreciate any help!

    Hi Gregg,
have you considered just deleting the data? I know that sounds simple, but it might be a valid solution.
If the DSO is just receiving new data (e.g. FI documents), you can continue to deliver a logically correct delta to the cube.
Should that not be possible and you really want all data that you currently have in your DSO1 in the write optimized future of it, then how about this:
    - Create a new DSO2 same structure as DSO1
    - Load all data into that
    - Delete all data from your DSO1 and import the transport to make it write optimized
    - Load all data back into you now write optimized DSO1 from DSO2
The problem you have then, is that all data that you have already loaded into your cube is due to be delivered as a delta from DSO1 again.
Depending on your transformation / update rules that might or might not be a problem.
    Best,
    Ralf

  • Can't convert web page to PDF in IE

Hi, I was using Window XP with Adobe Acrobat Pro 8. It's running pretty well. I just got a new PC with Window Vista Enterprise. When I installed the Adobe, I got problem asking for "AdobePDF.dll". Yes, I did hotfix #930627 and updated Adobe to 8.1.1 but there is still error. I can't convert the webpage to PDF in IE. I checked the plug-in in IE, all the PDF plug-ins are enabled. But if I clicked on the Adobe tool bar in IE, none of the menus responses. Same thing happens to the popup PDF menu.

  • Can't convert to pdf from word

my wife uses adobe acrobat 6.0 standard with office 2003. The problem is that she can't convert to pdf from word. it works fine with an excel doc. but not a word. I did update to 6.0.1 and still nothing. There is no error message and the word document opens but nothing happens.

I have exactly the same problem. Everything was ok untill a couple of months ago then after some auto updates the pdf buttons were no longer displayed in the word documents when it is open and if you try to convert it to pdf either by dragging the word file onto Adobe or highlighting the file and right clicking on it then selecting 'convert to Adobe PDF' it doesn't work. It looks like it attempts to do it by opening the word document but then nothing else happens. The only way I have been able to get it to convert to pdf is to go into the word document, click on file then print then select Adobe PDF then save to location. This is just a complete pain to do all the time especially when I need to convert a whole load of files in one go.
Obviously the auto updates have effected it somehow but I can't work out where.
I've tried uninstalling Adobe the re-installing it but it makes no difference.
I'm using Acrobat 6.0 Standard with Windows XP Professional 2002

  • How can I convert a PDF/A file into a PDF file with Acrobat Pro X?

How can I convert a PDF/A file into a PDF file with Acrobat Pro X? I'd like to modifiy the file which I have only as a PDF/A.

There's two answers if you want to modify the file:
You can temporarily turn off PDF/A Mode in your preferences, so they don't open as read-only. The problem would be if you do something to the file that violated the PDF/A standard, so you should always run a Preflight check afterwards to make sure.
If you want to remove the PDF/A header tag, use Preflight again - it's on the Print Production Panel in Acrobat X Pro (which may be hidden, use the options menu on the Tools Pane to show it). There's a profile called "Remove PDF/A information" - choose this and press Analyze and Fix. Nothing else about the file will be altered but when you save and reopen it all the editing tools will become active.
