How can I copy photos from the camera roll to an already existing album in ipad?

If you are in thumbnail view in the Camera Roll, tap the Edit button in the upper right corner. Tap the photos that you want to add to the existing album. Tap - Add To - in the upper right corner and then tap - Existing Album.
You can only add camera roll photos to albums that you have created on the iPad. You cannot add them to albums that you synced from iTunes.

can i copy photos from my nikon to the ipad via usb

You need to verify that you Nikon will look like a flash drive when you plug it into a usb port.  My Nikon CoolPix s6300 does not.
Plug your Nikon into a usb port on your computer.  See if the camera appears on your computer as a flash drive.

The devices are not designed for transfer of that kind.  Use Photo Stream as suggested by another poster, or transfer photos to your computer (a good idea anyway since they will be lost if your device needs to be reset), then use iTunes to sync them to the other devices.

  • PSE12 Organizer - can you copy photo from one folder to another and import copy into Organizer and still have original in other folder

I have been using folders to organize all my pictures and I will copy photos from folder to folder, often having them in 2 or 3 folders based on use.  I tried to copy a photo in Organizer PSE12 from one folder to another and you can only move it, that means I can only have one copy of the photo.  That is fine if I am using tags and want to search for it, but I want to have mult copies in mult folders. Organizer will recognize that it is there but it won't import it into the new folder. Until I move it, it stays in the original folder.  I can drag it out of Organizer and drop (copy) it into a new folder fine, but it won't show in organizer in the new folder.  Is there any way to copy and have multiple copies show up in multiple folders?

    Hi,
The organizer works on the principle of not having multiple copies of the same photo.
If you have multiple copies spread in different folders, then making changes to one doesn't affect the others. The use of tags and albums are there to give different views of your photos.
You can't have multiple copies with exactly the same name even if they are in different folders. You could select a photo and duplicate it (File -> Duplicate) and then move the copy into a different folder but the name will be different.
If you want different folders for a specific reason, it is possible to use albums to collect the group of photos and then export them to a new folder outside of the organizer. You can also rename on export which is useful if you want to arrange the photos in a specific order.
    Hope that helps a bit.

  • HT4236 Can I copy photos from my iPad to an SD card?

I want to copy photos from my iPad to a sd card. Is this possible?

iPad Camera Connection Kit - http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC531ZM/A - "The iPad Camera Connection Kit gives you two ways to import photos and videos from a digital camera: using your camera’s USB cable or directly from an SD card." Can also be used to copy photos from USB drive, see https://discussions.apple.com/message/18771759
Double check what the above exactly does.  It may only work with camera connections and maybe only one direction.  Related topic at: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3684518

  • Can I copy photos from my new iPad mini to an SD card using  Lighning to SD card reader?

I would like to copy photos from a camera SD card onto an iPad mini (iOS 8.2), then copy them onto another SD card as a backup. Can this be done and what is required?

The iPad doesn't natively support that. You can get the camera connection kit and import photos but it does not support writing data off the iPad.
There are some wireless flash drives that you can use to export data to that may be doing what you want.
The Kingston WiDrive is one of them but there are others you can search for to find one that works for you.
Another thing to do would be to import the photos, then use something like dropbox to back your files onto (although I personally prefer storage I can control not servers that I can't but I'm old fashioned that way)

  • Can't copy photos from iPod touch to Mac

My iPhoto Library was on an external hard drive, which unfortunately my friend accidentally dropped, and it no longer works. Luckily, I have the photos synced to my iPod touch. Unfortunately, I can't get a way to import the photos onto my Mac., I've tried iPhoto, Preview, iPhone Explorer and Pod to Mac (which works, but I need to pay to copy them), but none of them are useful solutions.
Does anyone know of a free application that doesn't require me to jailbreak or buy it that I can use to get my photos from my iPod touch onto my Mac (it can be Windows as well as I have a Windows computer)?

Try this: iPhone / iPod Touch Backup Extractor
See if you can find the folder containing your photos if you extract the backup to a separate folder. The photos will be reduced in size, but that's better than nothing.

  • Can't copy photos from iPhoto backup DVD - Privileges Problem

I have created several DVD backups of photos from iPhoto, but when I open the DVDs and try to copy and paste photos it says that I can't because I don't have sufficient privileges. I know about the possibility of clicking on the "sharing and permissions" and "Ignoring ownership on this volume" tabs from the get info section, but it is not possible for me as the DVD's info comes up with that area translucent, thus I can see those options but have no possibility of choosing any of them in "sharing and permissions".
Does anyone know a way to overcome this?
Does this mean I have to do something like use SUDO commands or something else complicated just to copy and paste photos from DVDs???
Is there not an option to make backup DVDs on iPhoto which are copyable?
Why would anyone backup photos so that they can't be accessed to copy and paste?
    Thank you

If you made the Back Ups with iPhoto's Share -> Burn command then when you insert the Disk into the Mac it will appear in the iPhoto Window. Drag the Events from the Disk to the Library heading in the iPhoto Window to restore them.

  • TS1930 How can I copy photos from my iPod to computer without using iPhoto or Image Capture? I have Windows 7..

I was wondering, how can I transfer my photos from my iPod to my computer (not a Mac) ? I know you can do it with music because I have done before, so can you do the same with photos? In affect using the iPod as an external hard drive.. Thanks for all your help!!

The photos you synced to your iPod through iTunes are no longer in their full resolution, but instead are scaled down thumbnails of those photos.  So if you do manage to get them off your iPod, they will be quite small in size compared to the original ones you lost.
In order to get them off of your iPod, you'll need the help of some sort of 3rd party software. Here is one option.

  • Can't copy photos from computer to I-pod

I was able to copy photos the first time with no problem. I have I-tunes 7.0.2 and when you go into the I-pod is says sync photos from:(photo album). When I click the the buble in it comes up with the messege saying the new sync will replace the old photos on the I-pod. When I click "sync photos" or just click "cancel" I-tunes quits and nothing happens. Thanks,

Delete and recreate your email settings.
It's only difficult if you get all emotional over tiny things and don't stop to look for answers first. I find Macs very simple to use.

  • How can I copy photos from the Photo Library to a new computer(located elsewhere)??

I use 2 PCs and an iPhone 4S
I added photos to the phone which appear in the Photo Library, but want to copy them to my second computer (different place).
    How can it be done?

Problem is that the photos do not appear on the computer.
I tried using the autoplay window that opens when the iPhone is connected and then clicked to import the pictures.  This finds more than on Camera Roll, but as far as I can judge only the photos on the present computer, not the ones I need.  But they are there on a folder in the Phone.

  • Can I copy photos from my iPhone back onto my laptop?

I had a diaster occur. The hard drive on my laptop, that had almost 10 years worth of photo's, crashed and apparently cannot be retrieved from the hard drive. I have all these photo's on my iPhone and I cannot figure out how I can copy or download these back onto my laptop. Is it possible? The majority of these photo's were taken with a standard digital camera and there is some video too. Please help!

You had 10 year's worth of content that was important to you, and you never backed it up?
There is no official way to get photos off the iPhone short of emailing them. There are some 3rd party apps that will copy files off an iPhone (use Google), but remember that the photos are optimized for the iPhone and will have lower resolution than the original photos that you have lost.
