Can I copy XML from one RDL file to another

Hi
I have created one report, worked on it as a prototype for a project - added datasets , params etc
I now want to start again - from a template that we have just created - with professional layout, images etc - but want to copy the datasets, parameters from the original prototype to a new report (created from the template).
Can I just copy sections of the XML from the original RDL file to the new one ?- like the Datasets and parameters sections
Regards
Greg

Hi,
Yes, you can.
If you copy less or more then need you'll see an error.

Select all the frames you want to copy, right click and select copy frames then select the file you want to paste them into and right click again and then paste frames.
The layers the frames are should come across with them.

  • Digital movie download - can I move it from one iTunes file to another?

I have gotten several new Blu-ray and DVD sets for Christmas. Included is a digital copy which can be downloaded. Once I download and move it to iTunes, can I export that from one iTunes file on my Mac to another Mac which I own? I haven't been able to find a relevant post.

CWmain, this is something I'm keen to know too. I've got the new Star Trek and Transformers 2 Blu-ray discs with digital copies. I was hoping I could download the movies to my Mac Pro by redeeming the codes supplied with the discs and once downloaded just copy the resulting download files across to my MacBook Pro. I'm hoping that because both machines are authorised with my iTunes account it should just 'work'. Can anyone confirm this is correct before I go ahead?

  • Copying simulation from one CP file into another...issues

    Hi,
I am trying to copy slides from one simualtion into another, but when I do, all the objects et are covered with a background. For example, I copy some slides that are instructing to click on the Start menu, then selecting the program from the start menu that comes up, the start button and menu are covered with another image, like all objects have been placed behind the slide background....
.....seems really strange and a bit frustrating to say the least.
    Any help appreciated..
    Cheers
    Rossco

Select one of these slides in the filmstrip and check the Properties > General accordion.
For simulation slides, make sure the boxes for Master Slide Objects On Top and Use Master Slide Backround are unchecked.

  • How can I copy everything from one G4 Powerbook to another G4 Powerbook?

I have a Powerbook which I wiped and reinstalled Leopard, updated and installed Safari 4. I would like to copy literally everything from my second G4 Powerbook with Leopard and Safari 4 to the new one, so that I have a clone with all emails, pictures, programs, tunes, etc. How can I do this? I can connect them with a firewire if required. Thanks, Bill

I use Superduper to create a bootable clone of my macpro + that works fine although it is on an external. SuperDuper's manual states you can create a clone on another computer using firewire target disk mode - but I have never tried this personally. Both macs would have to have the same type of processor - you cannot create a clone of an intel mac and run it on a power pc mac. Carbon Copy cloner, a similar, free & ewually praised program may also be able to do this but I haven't used this - maybe another user who uses that program can advise?

  • Can i copy contacts from one apple id to another

I would like to copy my contacts to my family members iphone which is different apple id
    Can i do that

One way (and there are likely others):
This assumes that your contacts are synced to iCloud. If not, on your phone go to Settings > iCloud and turn Contacts on.
Log in to https://www.icloud.com/ from a computer, click on Contacts, click on the gear-shaped icon at lower left, and click Select All in the menu that appears and then click Export vCard in that same menu. Then log out of https://www.icloud.com/ and log in again using the other Apple ID and use the Import vCard item on the same menu. Once the contacts are imported to the other Apple ID they will sync to the other phone if Settings > iCloud Contacts is turned on for that phone.

  • How can I copy notes from one iPad account to another.

I have a number of Notes on my iPad which I would like to transfer to my new Mac.  However, when I turned on iCloud, it created an iCloud account in Notes with nothing in it.  Is there a way I can get all 37 notes in the old account (All Notes) to the new account (iCloud), so they can be synced to the computer?

I know it's tedious, but I'd honestly just e-mail them to yourself, or cut and paste them into a document that you get onto your mac.
Sometimes iCloud has a bad habit of eating or losing data so I'd back it up somewhere or somehow before you try the sync.

  • How can i copy apps from one computer to another?

how can i copy apps from one computer to another?

You don't mention which operating system you have so it's difficult to provide an answer since the mac and Windows stores the files differently.
The other thing you can do is just re-download the apps from the iTunes Store. Just login to the iTunes Store on the other computer using the same Apple ID. On the right-hand side of the iTunes Store page you will see a 'Purchased' link. Clicking on that will take you to a page that will list your past purchases which you can re-download to the new computer.

  • How can I copy songs from one iPod to another?

I received a new iPod Classic (last generation) and I'm trying to transfer my songs from my old iPod Nano (also last generation).
My iTunes library is also split up between my two parent's houses and I only have half the songs on my Nano in this computer's library.
Is there a way to copy only the songs on the +iPod Nano+ (not the iTunes library) and drop them onto the new iPod?

*Is there a way to copy only the songs on the iPod Nano (not the iTunes library) and drop them onto the new iPod?*
You can't copy directly from one iPod to another, you have to copy the songs back to iTunes and update the new iPod from there. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod

  • Can I move/copy songs from one itunes account to another itunes account on the same iMac?

Can I move/copy songs from one itunes account to another itunes account on the same iMac?

You move the song files to /Users/Shared/ and then into iTunes from the other Mac OS X user account.
If you want to change the iTunes Store account associated with them, you need to redownload them from that account.

  • I can not transfer date from one hard drive to another, I keep getting an error because I have two of the same file names and one file name is in caps and I cant change the file name

can not transfer date from one hard drive to another, I keep getting an error because I have two of the same file names and one file name is in caps and I cant change the file name. My original external has an error and needs to be reformatted but I dont want to lose this informations its my entire Itunes library.

Sounds like the source drive is formatted as case sensitive and the destination drive is not. The preferred format for OS X is case insensitive unless there is a compelling reason to go case sensitive.
Why can't you change the filename? Is it because the source drive is having problems?  If so is this happening with only one or two or a few files? If so the best thing would be to copy those over individually and then rename them on the destination drive.
If it is more then you can do manually and you can't change the name on the source you will have to reformat the destination as case sensitive.
Btw this group is for discussion of the Support Communities itself, you;d do better posting to Lion group. I'll see if a host will move it.

  • OSB : How can we copy  actions from one project folder to other projects?

How can we copy actions from one project folder to other projects in OSB?
    For eg:
I have a service call out action in Project1/proxySer1
I want to copy this to Project2/proxySer2.
Espicially, in our case error handling callout is common to all of our projects and we should be able to copy from one to another.

    Thank you for the reply.
It was my fault. I was on two different servers, while i was doing this and so didn't work. But copy /past action works as you suggested.
Can I select multiple actions from one stage and paste to different proxy service? I have too many options to copy/paste and hence I have this question.
Is there any other way of copying all selected actions in one stage to another, but not the complete stage itselft?
