Can I create a private iCal event in iOS?

Can someone tell me how to mark an event as private with iCal using iOS?

Bad news -- private appointments/events are not supported on iOS, at least as of iOS 5.1.
You can make an event private in iCal, Outlook or other calendar programs, but iOS will simply ignore that attribute.

When I try to create an appointment that occurs for more than a day it appears on my calendar for the entire day and not the time that I want. Thanks for responding. I'm an outside sales person and I create the vast majority of my appointments while I'm out of the office. When I'm in the office I certainly create them this way. It would be great if Apple could make this option available.

Thanks, it was linked in iPhoto. After removing it from iPhoto I still got the same message when trying to delete the account from Mail. After rebooting, I was able to remove the account from Mail.

You will need to create a Numbers template on your Mac, and then transfer it to your iPad.
You can create your own custom templates in Numbers for Mac and use them in Numbers on your iOS device. To install a custom template on your iOS device, first save your template to iCloud, iTunes, or a WebDAV server, or send it as an email attachment.

I used to be able to Clear Conversations and leave the list of people with whom I most frequently use SMS. THis optin is now gone and I have to remove the person from the list if I don't want to store all the messages. How do I create a "favorites" list in SMS similar to that of the phone favorites list?

You can still do that in iOS 7. Open the thread. Tap and hold on one of the messages. A bubble will pop up. Tap More. Delete All will appear in the upper left. Tap.

Create new iCal event from contents of mail uses wrong date

I received an email today with an appointment using the date "6/3/2010 at 4PM". Being from the US, it is obvious to me that this meeting should occur on June 3, 2010, but when I attempt to create a new iCal event with this date it creates the event on March 6, 2010. Even more confusing is that when I choose "Show this date in iCal" it highlights March 7, 2010!
My question is:
Shouldn't the system default to a month/day/year date preference everywhere when I've selected US English in the internationalization preferences pane?

Can't create Calendar Event from Mail on my iPad anymore

I no longer can create a new iPad Calendar Event from tapping on a date in email I receive. The new Event dialog box will still appear when I click on the date in an email, but the dialog box is now too small and off-center, hiding the Done button in the upper right corner of the Dialog. Without the Done button, I can't create the new Calendar Event. I can't resize the dialog box, or re-center it.
Is this a common problem after the latest iOS update? Can anyone help? Thanks.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

Kglad gives a lot of relevant information but I think the problem is you are using the wrong operator.
if (key = false){
gotoAndPlay ("Scene 1", 1);
should be
if (key == false){
gotoAndPlay ("Scene 1", 1);
because using '=' is an assignment basically putting 'false' into the key variable, whereas '==' is an equality operator.
So for example if 'false' was the value inside 'key' and this was equal to the right side of the operator it would do the if statement ( it is basically going; if false is equal to false then gotoAndPlay... unless key was 'true' in which case it would skip the if statement.

Since you are using the same object for your Selection screen related events, AT SELECTION-SCREEN, you would have to instantiate the object in the INITIALIZATION event. If your object usage is just for the data - In case you use the MVC design pattern, you should push back the object creation in START-OF-SELECTION.

Why are my iCal events (future events) just dissapearing?

Not using iCloud or mobile me. I am syncing my iPhone via iTunes.
Yesterday afternoon I created several new iCal events for today's and next week's calendar. This morning when I opened my iCal none of my new events were present. This morning, I recreated some of tomorrow's events. Closed/re-opend iCal to find the events had disappeared again. Also, seeminly unconnected but equally buggy - event alarms can be 1,2 3 hours late - radomly. ughhh!

In addition, I'm unable to delete some of the other events.
