No problem, Peter. iBooks Author makes a lot of things much easier than trying to grapple with a standard epub, but it also has some big limitations, like iPad only, and ibookstore only.
EDIT It's not really suitable for something like a novel, for example, although it's great when you need lots of illustrations and movies and such.

You can't do it on the iPad you would need to do it on your computer and the folder will be seen by your account on the iPad and iPhone only if they are IMAP and Exchange accounts. POP accounts are not supported for folders.

Why can't I open facebook videos on my ipad and iphone any more? I used to be able to open most but now I can't open any. Now it just comes up with a message 'unable to play video.Check your internet connection and try again' There is nothing wrong with my internet connection. I am on wifi and full signal strength. This is happening on both ipad and iphone. It's not the problem where sometimes a video wants Adobe to open it. This message comes up as soon as you try to click on the video play button in the video. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this please?

Thanks for this Griff but it's not the app that isn't responding. I am in the facebook app (on both iPhone and iPad) and the app is working fine but if people post a video I can't look at the video on the iPhone or iPad. i always used to be able to but now it keeps coming up with the message I mentioned above. So I can no longer watch videos from facebook on either my iPad or iPhone. Here is a screen shot of my phone of what is happening. As you can see I have full wifi so there is nothing wrong with my internet connection. This is really annoying as I used to be able to watch videos on both phone and ipad out of facebook. now I can't. Hope you can help. regards and thanks Vicki

Do you normally sync via iTunes and your computer? If so, there's an option in iTunes - that you see as you plug each device in - to sync contacts. If you don't normally sync via iTunes you can download and use the iCloud control panel and use that to sync your contacts.

Check to see if they are on your calendar on icloud.com. If they aren't, all you can do is try to restore to your last backup, although it isn't clear that calendar events are included in the iCloud backup.

Background images for website enlarges on iPAD and iPhone

I have a responsive website. My CSS3 for the background looks like this:

           background-size:cover;
It looks great on a desktop and on my home page on all devices. BUT when I go to pages that have a photo gallery on the the iPAD and iPhone 5 enlarge the background and it is not fixed anymore.
What am I missing?

Tethering internet for iPad and iPhone using Mac Air

Hi All
Wondering if anyone could help me please. Mac is very new to me so I am not sure where to get started.
I will be travelling soon and the hotel which we are staying only have LAN internet and not wireless I am hoping to tethered/hotpsot my Ipads and iphones to the Mac Air so I could use interent on these devices wirelessly. Is this possible? Could you please advise how to set this up?

Since I upgraded to iOS 5 I have not been able to save PDF fines on my iPad and iPhone . Yet that's want the case before the upgrade. Can some one tell me why...b,se I feel like the upgrade was a step backward than forward..

I'm fairly new to Mac computers.
We have a new Imac OS X Version 10.7.4 and we also have an Ipad 2 OS X Version 5.1.1
I have an Iphone 4S.
My question is can I put a Word Excel sheet from my main computer onto my Ipad and Iphone and update them when away from home.
I would then want to sync the updated work back onto the main computer when i return home.
Is that possible ?

Welcome to the Apple community.
You can upload some types of Excel spreadsheets to the cloud using the iWork feature on the iCloud.com website, by dragging and dropping from your computer desktop.
Once in the cloud, the document will be converted to a numbers document when opened on an iOS device, where you can make changes and save the document back to the cloud. When you come to require the document on your computer again, you will be able to download it from the iCloud.com website in one of three formats (numbers, Excel, PDF).

How do I get iMessage to be the same on iPad and iPhone

My understanding is that whatever conversations I am having on iMessage on my iPad should also appear on my iPhone and vice versa. In other words, if I start a conversation with you on imessage on my iPad, the identical conversation should be on imessage on my iPhone. Is this true? If it is, my iPad and iPhone aren't in sync this way. What do I have to do to get them in sync so that they are identical?
