I hate having all of my apps piled up in the "ALL" category. Can we create new categories such as "Business Apps" or "Education" in order to stay organized? If not can we at least create folders within the existing catefories?

I read a response to a similar question yesterday on this forum. The BlackBerry tech said it is not an option right now but you can choose your favorites and have them show in the favorites section. Maybe folders will be available later. Enjoy the new tablet I know I am.

I do not believe that is possible any longer. All iTunes accounts are individual accounts.

There is no such thing as "sub-accounts".
Multiple Apple ID's can be used on a single device.
Created unique Apple ID's for each user and use those Apple ID's on the appropriate devices from iCloud and iMessage. This will not affect the media on the device.

How can I search sub categories in iBooks?

Okay, after generally loving apple products, this one has me raging mad. When I search iBooks, there is a drop down list of categories and authors.
But sub categories -- as found in any normal bookstore -- are nowhere to be found.
For example, searching "Ferrari" will drop down a variety of books, two of which are in the Transportation category. But, Transportation is not listed in any of the categories in the basic iBooks menu.
Words such as "history", "science and technology" cover a LOT of ground, and there MUST be better navigation to zero in on topics of interest.
So, how can I find a list of sub-categories so I can spend my iTunes wealth?

Sadly I don't think you can. I have a number of books published in the Games and Card Games category (as identified by BISAC code) but Apple don't have a Games category either. However in the iTunes Store (not iBooks) if I search for 'Games' and then select the 'Books' Media Type filter I can find the books in the results. Perhaps the same ill happen if you try with 'transportation'. Now that books are searchable directly from the iTunes store I find it much easier to search there rather than on my iPad.

that's easy .... learned that, did use the 'snapshot' function for a previous version of this generator.

next season, it should be a sequence, each player appears after the other (and each item is a short animation, title, fade/in out of pic) - ...
so, the animation of Player B could appear at 00:10 or 00:20 or 01:40 ...
It would bloat my Motion project to infinity, if I put ALL player-animations at ANY optional time-line position (and in FCPX, I can select which animation at what time index)... in final version it's 23 optional players at 11 positions of the timeline = 253 'tracks'!
Question:
any smart idea how 'link' from the timeline of the Motion-project to some 'sub timeline'?
in FCPX I would like to see 11 drop-menus; 1-11 defines the sequence of appearance, and I can select at each position any team-member...
... hope this makes sense ....

Place your players inside a group (called Players). You can arrange the order any way you like, but top down will be more convenient.
Move the playhead to the beginning, select the top (in the list) player) and type "O" to set an out point. From there, you should be able to hit the down arrow and type I - O to set a one frame in and out for each of the player images.
Select the Players group and type K to clone it - name it Team. You now have an Image Sequence to work with.
Replicate the Team image sequence. For each replicator, give it the Position Name. Turn the Shape to Line; Start and End Points at 0,0; Points 1. Turn off Play Frames in the Cell Controls and use the Source Start Frame to pick the player for that position.
You can duplicate Replicators (easier) or replicate the Team image sequence.
Is that about what you wanted?

Please can you post the full select statement and the DDL to create the tables? Or, provide someone access to the app on the Oracle server.
We can probably make these much more readable using table aliases and removing the owner unless you are doing this across schemas or via a wizard?
It looks like you are missing joins in your query - is this what you mean by subqueries? It is a good idea to move the join up before the WHERE clause if you can as this makes the query easier to manage.

How can I create a recurring appt/event on calendar on ipad3? Ex: 12-1pm on Tuesday and Thursday for 2 weeks.

When I try to create an appointment that occurs for more than a day it appears on my calendar for the entire day and not the time that I want. Example: create an appointment on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 12-1pm and goes for two weeks. I just want the appointment to show up on those 3 days for 2 weeks for that hour only. This task was very easy in Outlook but I can't seem to do it on my iPhone or iPad. I should mention that my phone is a 3GS and the iPad is 3rd generation. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for responding. I'm an outside sales person and I create the vast majority of my appointments while I'm out of the office. When I'm in the office I certainly create them this way. It would be great if Apple could make this option available.

How can I create sub-arrays based on the positions of indicies in a separate index array?

Please forgive me if this question is basic or obvious. I am fairly new to LabVIEW and I'm trying to learn as I go along.
I have a 1D array of index values (the number of possible index values is not fixed, but can vary between uses of the application; it could be just {0, 1} on one day and {1, 5, 11, 678} on another) and a 1D array of measurement values (doubles). I'd like to parse the measurement values into sub-arrays for each index, so that if my index array was:
[0 1 1 1 1 5 5 0 5 5 1 0 1 1 5]
and my measurement array was:
[0.1 0.2 0.3 0.4 0.5 0.6 0.7 0.8 0.9 0.10 0.11 0.12 0.13 0.14 0.15]
I would get back 3 sub-arrays:

[0.2 0.3 0.4 0.5 0.11 0.13 0.14]
[0.6 0.7 0.9 0.10 0.15]
I know there must be a simple way to do this, I guess I'm just stuck too much in matlab-array thinking to figure it out... please help!

Bad news -- private appointments/events are not supported on iOS, at least as of iOS 5.1.
You can make an event private in iCal, Outlook or other calendar programs, but iOS will simply ignore that attribute.

How can I create sub tasks in the UWL

Hello All,
I have a requirement where in I am pulling all the SAP Business Workplace notifications into the UWL. In UWL we want to have sub tasks or in other words we want to have selections based on subjects.
For eg. In SAP if there are three workflows running for three diffrent tasks then in UWL I should have an option to choose among the three and have the notifications based on the selected subject.

Can't create Calendar Event from Mail on my iPad anymore

I no longer can create a new iPad Calendar Event from tapping on a date in email I receive. The new Event dialog box will still appear when I click on the date in an email, but the dialog box is now too small and off-center, hiding the Done button in the upper right corner of the Dialog. Without the Done button, I can't create the new Calendar Event. I can't resize the dialog box, or re-center it.
Is this a common problem after the latest iOS update? Can anyone help? Thanks.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

Create sub folders in "local" - Map a network drive.

I am using Docs2Go and when I save a document, a see an option to save on "local"; thats where I save them. finding these documents is becoming difficult. How can I create sub folders in local disk so that documents can be organised.
Secondly, after connecting through VPN, Can I map a network shared drive.

i've just starte using iWeb, and trying to create my own web page. I can't find a solution on the above: how can i create "sub-pages"? For example: I want to create a main page called Photos (appearing in main menu bar), and UNDER this page i want to create "sub-pages" called photos1, photos2, photos3, etc. (appearing UNDER Photos page).
How can I do this?

I just read your post regarding creating web pages in iweb. This is something i have been trying to do also. Do you happen to know whether there's a way of creating sub pages from the main navigation menu, rather than pasting hyperlinks into the page. If i create an envertainment magazine, and one section is "movies", then I want all articles on movies to fall within that category, WOuld be far easier if visitors click on 'movies' link in navigation bar, and then see the list of articles. Is there a way to do this in iweb?
If not, i am wondering why Apple didn't include this basic necessity when creating the program.
