Create tablespace whose name length is greater than 50 ?
Can i create tablespace in oracle 10g whose name length is greater than 50 characters ?
Name tablespaces descriptively using a maximum of eight characters. Although Oracle Database tablespace names can be 30 characters long, portable UNIX filenames are restricted to 14 characters. The recommended standard for a datafile basename is tn.dbf, where t is a descriptive tablespace name and n is a two-digit string. Because the extension and the two-digit string take six characters, only eight characters remain for the tablespace name.

Can we create new tablespace in Oracle Database 10g Express Edition?
Hi,
Can we create new tablespace in Oracle Database 10g Express Edition instead of using the default "users" tablespace provided?
Please advise.
Thank you.Correct. The sum of all user tablespaces is not allowed to exceed 4 GIG.
You could try shrinking your tablespaces. Theres a script called maxshrink on http://asktom.oracle.com which is useful for this.
You could compress your tables.
If you are storing lobs, you could consider storing them as bfiles.
Or upgrade to Oracle Standard Edition 1. Its not that expensive. -
Can we create a table in temp tablespace?
Hi Support ,
I have confused about on point that Can we create a table in temp tablespace.
thanksI so not think the question is so bad except that it was as suggested something you can determine for yourself in 20 seconds:
> /
create table mark (fld1 number) tablespace tmp
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-02195: Attempt to create PERMANENT object in a TEMPORARY tablespace
Other database products allow users to create tables in the temporary tables such as SQL Server. I just tested using SQL Server 2008 R2 and I could create a table in TEMPDB.
SQL Server also creates temporary tables, create table #table_name, in TEMPDB. You can see these objects while in use.

Can files created in Illustrator CS2 & CS2 Photoshop be opened and edited in later program version
I have a question I am hoping someone will answer for me. I am designing images in Illustrator CS2 and Photoshop CS2. They are saved as Jpegs and png files to be opened by clients in their image editing programs, using them to make digital scrapbook pages and and other projects. My clients will most likely be using recent versions of Photoshop Elements and/or recent versions of Photoshop. Will my files open fine in their more recent versions? I have been taught you can work forward (a file created in a old program version will open in a newer version) but not backward (a file created in Photoshop CS6 might not open in a older version of Photoshop). Is this correct? Also, is there anything I need to do to my files so they are compatible with current versions?
Thank you!
paper&glueYes. They can be opened in later versions or older versions, because the formats you mention (.JPG and .PNG) are common raster image formats, not native application-specific formats (.ai or .psd).
Be aware, though, because they are both raster image formats, they are more germane to Photoshop than to Illustrator. Illustrator can't really "open" a PNG or a JPEG for editing the way you could edit them in Photoshop (or any other raster image program). Illustrator can import them into an Illustrator file, but that's not the same thing as being able to "open" them in Photoshop and perform local editing (selecting pixels, etc., etc.).
That's true even if the JPEG or PNG was exported from Illustrator. For example, you can draw artwork native to Illustrator using vector paths, and then export a rasterized image of it in JPEG or PNG format. But don't expect someone else using Illustrator to be able to open that JPEG or PNG and still have the native Illustrator paths. They won't.

CR XI to 2008, can I create a new MySQL & later migrate SQLServer data?
I am creating a new environment with 2008 testing and all before I move my reports over. The current environment is CR XI with a SQL Server database. Can I create the 2008 server with MySQL and be able to migrate my data over to test with?
If you have any advice or instruction, I'd appreciate it!! Thanks!Let me clarify and see if it still holds true. The database for my data for the report's content is an oracle database, but Crystal Reports is using a SQL Server database for storing the report and schedules. Though I believe all of our reports are quite simple compared to most anyway. My concern is that the users, reports and their schedules set up by the users make it over. I haven't really done anything with the MySQL database yet, so no damage yet .

And now when i tried to run the import on drive C, seems like my database user "system/a" is corrupted or password corrupted:

You could use import option show=y to capture import run statements and find CREATE TABLESPACE statements. Keep in mind your target database already has undo, temp system, etc. tablespaces so you do not need to precreate them. Then rerun import.

Can I create PAdES signature using Adobe Acrobat 8.0 or 9.0?
Hi
Can I create PAdES (PDF Advanced Electronic Signatures, Technical Specification ETSI TS 102 778) signature using Adobe Acrobat 8.0 or 9.0?
ETSI Technical Specification (TS) 102 778 contains five parts:
• Part 1: PAdES Overview – a framework document for PAdES
• Part 2: PAdES Basic – Profile based on ISO 32000-1
• Part 3: PAdES Enhanced – PAdES-Basic Electronic Signatures and PAdES-Explicit Policy Electronic Signatures Profiles
• Part 4: PAdES Long Term – PAdES-Long Term Validation Profile
• Part 5: PAdES for XML Content – Profiles for XAdES signatures of XML content in PDF files
All five parts were published on 31 July 2009.
Thanks for answer.
DraganHi,
The short answer is yes.
Acrobat 8 and later support all of requirements of PAdES such as serial signing, long term validation (time stamping and embedded revocation responses) and signatures in the PKCS#7 format.

I slightly modified your script to recatalog the backup pieces since they are note stored at the same location in PR and QA.
No luck. The error message is different but the result is the same... it keeps failing.

Hello all,
We started off with the original iPhone a few years ago and now between my wife and I (plus Kids) we have too many apple devices under the same apple-ID (2 X iPhone 6+, 2X macbook Pro, 2X iPod-touch and 1X iPad)
We are constantly running into issues because everyone in the house is using the same apple id, downloading Apps using the same ID, sharing the same cloud and receiving each other's iMessages.
I know that I can create another Apple-ID, what I am unclear on is once I do have a new apple ID, how do I assign that to half the devices (1X iPhone 6+, 1 X MBP and 1 Ipad)
Please respond if you are able to help.
Thank youI'm not sure what they told your at the Apple store, but each Apple ID can only create a single iCloud account. If you want separate accounts for all these devices, they will have to be created using separate IDs. Note: you can do this and still share the same ID for other services such as your iTunes store account. The iCloud ID does not need to be the same as the ID used for other services.
To create an account, go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with a different Apple ID. If you want to migrate a copy of the current iCloud data to the different accounts, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; the devices keeping the current account will not be effected by this), provide the password to turn off Find My iDevice and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data. -
How can I create multiple versions of a video within the same project?
OK...this is a probably a very basic question but I'm not sure how to word it clearly.
How can I create multiple versions of a video within the same project? What I mean is that I have a bout 50 minutes of video and I want to make two DVDs using different clips from this original 50 minutes of footage. It would be a real pain to have to re-import the video AGAIN for the second DVD. I suppose I could drop anything I don't want to burn to DVD back into the clips pane but that would wipe out all my transitions wouldn't it? I want to save each project in their “raw” form so I can burn additional DVDs later otherwise I would just do them one at a time and not care about one of them being destroyed.
Wow...that was a mess. Does anyone understand what the heck I’m asking? I hope so.How can I create multiple versions of a video within the same project?
You can't. You make separate projects using the same or different clips, segments, transitions, titles, etc. You can even duplicate the first project and then modify/make the desired changes in the duplicated project. Each project can then be burned as a different DVD or as different titles on the same DVD if there is enough room. -
How can I create a new Music Library?
Had to buy new laptop which of course has Vista. The old unit was acting up(I think Windows XP was corrupt), so I saved my Library Files but it looks like the old machine only saved portions not the whole Library. I had approx. 13,000 tunes (35GB) in the LIbrary and all that was saved seems to be 319 tunes. I have all the music on an external HD and only the Library was on the laptop. My question is, how can I create a new Library from the external HD music? Is there a way or am I SOL? Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.
You need the entire libary on the external, not just media.

Once you get a complete iTunes folder on the external drive, start iTunes with the option/alt key held down and select the iTunes Library.itl file on the external drive. You will also need to do this with your main computer or the libraries will become unsynchronized.
Alternatively you can make a separate library using the same media on the second computer. Start as you have been doing, let iTunes create a new, blank library file which will be on hte internal drive, set the media folder location in preferences to be the one on the external drive, then add the files to the new iTunes library. Unless you are a super-organized individual, or you don't care if your libraries do not have the same content, you are better off using a single library file that is on the external, not setting up separate library files. -

Hey there!
It sounds like you are wanting to create an iCloud account. Take a look at this info from the following article:
How do I sign up for iCloud?
You can sign up for iCloud on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later, or through System Preferences on a Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.4 or later. Just follow the setup instructions for your iOS device or Mac.
You may need to verify the email address that you use for your Apple ID. See Frequently Asked Questions About Apple ID for more information.

Just don't install the sample schemas. See the installation guide
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10831/installation.htm
Using the Database Configuration Assistant
When you install Oracle Database with the Oracle Universal Installer, the sample schemas are installed by default if you select the Basic Installation option. Selecting the sample schemas option installs all five schemas (HR, OE, PM, IX, and SH) in the database. If you choose not to install the sample schemas at that time, you can add them later by following the instructions in section "Manually Installing Sample Schemas".
Choose a custom install and don't install the sample schemas.
All other schems/tables installed are REQUIRED by Oracle -
How can I create a disk image of snow leopard installer disk from my Imac which runs it?
how can I create a disk image of snow leopard installer disk from my Imac which runs it? It came without DVD installer, and I want to make a copy of it's OS installer but can't find out how.
You need to have the disc in order to create disk image of snow leopard installer disc. What did your machine ship with? If something later than SL, then why? If earlier, then you can buy the SL installer disc and make the disk image.
