Can I customize this little guy?

I changed my iPod name on my iMAC G5 to jPod. Then, as can be read in my other post, i incurred an issue and tried to resolve it by deleting all my iPod software and re-installing it. To the point, when I reloaded everything and connected my iPod the iMAC recognized it as jPod, indicating that my iPod obviously knows its name. So:
Can I make the title bar in my iPod say jPod as well?
Is there a way to change the background, fonts, or colors on the iPod?

No, there is not.
Even if there was, changing any software on the iPod would render any warranty useless.
I wish there was a way to do this, but right now there isn't.

But I have to say I am super impressed with this little guy. I have iTunes going, Photoshop running, grabbing files from my other computer on the network, have final cut pro 6 open editing HDV footage!, have iPhoto open running through pics, MS Word 2004 open and Cabos downloading some stuff!
And I have 644 MB of Ram left over. And everything's running really well! I am so impressed. I really never expected this from something that, well, isn't supposed to be doing all this.
If you're in the market for this laptop, I really recommend it!

Ram is so cheap right now it is hard to sell used RAM and get a price that makes it worthwhile.
I always keep my old RAM. If something goes wrong with my computer and I need to trouble shoot it I sometimes place the old RAM in to rule out the new RAM as being the problem. If something happens to the new RAM and I need to send it in for warranty I can put the old RAM in and keep running.

The following peocess corrects the calendar entry:
edit the contact & change the birthday, save the change; edit the contact & change the birthday to the correct value, save the change again. The calendar entry then displays on the correct date. Alternatively as a temp solution I can just de-select the "birthdays" calendar which stops the icon being displayed.
Thanks for your advice, I think that it's n going to be a slow process to fix all the entries for not much return.

Why is it when I download music to my iTunes an explanation mark comes up on some of my music. And another question when I move some music to my iPod I can not play it because this little circle comes up

When I can download music to my iPod some of the music downloads but I can not play it because it has this little round circle in front of it ansd the music is greyed out and not black lettering like the other songs I can play.

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Make sure that y do not leave any foreign material or leave anything in the jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

I purchases additional storage last night when advised by iCloud that I had little storage left on iCloud. Discovered that an unknown iPhone was added to my account resulting in lack of storage. How can I cancel this. And get refund?

I have the same problem. For about 1 month ago I extended my iCloud storage account (+20 GB) in order to maintain my backups for iPHONE and iPAD as my account would expire 14/10. In spite of this, I got an email 15/10, which said that iCloud was reduced to 5 GB. 2 hours later I received a new email with comfirmation on the purchase of +20 GB storage plan. My music on the iPod touch 4g isn't sorted out by little sections anymore. For example songs with the letter A and then there will be a marker for all A lettered songs, but my ipod does not do that to all of my music. How can i fix this?

The reason the alphabetical sections aren't showing is because you don't have enough songs. In order for them to show, you have to have a certain number of songs. ( I think it's 40 ).

Can I customize my quick start?

Hey everyone, I got a S10-2 and love the quick start functionality. I just have 2 little questions.
Can I add a software I use called Roboform to the splashtop browser? I need it because I have like 100 passwords for many sites I frequent.
Next can I add a new icon for videos? I want to watch videos obviously and having a quick start icon for my vids would be awesome.

Why they never put a movie application I have no idea... I mean all you need is a basic free source movie software and that would run on the movies I installed in my video folders.
But overall the quickstart function is awesome and it's a big time saver for sure!
Well, well boy. That's what it should be. As far as I can say, the guys responsible for lenovos Splashtop flavour are lightyears behind. Asus for example sports viewing PDF and all important media by default, which is a must have and what is even more important, they update their "QuickStart" which is called ExpressGate periodically to provide security fixes. Especially the browser would deserve decent updates from time to time, because security wise it is the weakest part.
To depend on hacks like those provided by netham45 is a shame. It's up to you to trust someone outside lenovo, but: Isn't it the duty of lenovo to supply the community of paying customers with updates and improvements?
Just by having a look at the most recent released version of Quickstart it seems obviously of no importance for lenovo to take care about updates. It seems to me just like a marketing joke., in order to pretend YES! We have it...

Why don't you call Apple tech support thru your provider. They will be able to help you in short order.
PS - If you want help here you need to provide a little more information i.e. how much memory does your iPhone -4- have and how much free memory do you have after restoring from the cloud?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether your problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.
