I am using wtp eclipse and I want to debug jsp please guide me how to ?

Yes, just the same way as you do with normal Java classes. Run the server in debug modus and put breakpoints in the source file.
But do you have business logic (scriptlets?) in your JSP then? I'd to put them in separate Java classes (Servlet, Bean, DAO, Utility, etc). It will greatly ease unit testing and debugging (and also maintenance!).

Hi, I didn't get an email notifying me of a response to this. Just happened to check myself.
          But basically you want to point the weblogic server directly to your workspace (src code) so it can detect a change. THis is from our doc below. You may also write an ant script specific to weblogic that redeploys the app and reloads the xml and prop files without restarting the server.
          1.     Start up your Weblogic domain server (i.e., C:\Domains\devDomain\startWebLogic.cmd).
          2.     Go to url, http://localhost:7001/console and log in (weblogic, weblogic).
          3.     On the left menu, click Deployments, then Lock & Edit button above it, and then the Install button in the main panel.
          4.     Change the location to the web folder in your project workspace (C:\Eclipse\workspace\<projectname>\web) Click Next.
          5.     Leave checked the Install this deployment as an application and click Next.
          6.     Put name for Name of deployment. . From here you can click Finish.
          7.     Click Activate Changes. Then check the deployment box and click Start button and Servicing all requests (in Deployments panel). Then click Yes to start it on the next page
          8.     Enter the URL of the application. This example is
          http://localhost:7001/web/index.htm
          The ?web? was the name of the web folder we deployed from. In the future you could name this something different if deploying from this console so the url?s do not conflict.

Can't Debug in Eclipse - PS starts but Extension doesn't load

Windows 7 Pro
I can create my extension in Eclipse and Export it. Then use Extension Manager to install it and PS sees it......but if I right click on the Project in Eclipse and use 'Debug As', PS starts but the extension doesn't appear in it's list.
I've been through the changes at;
Adobe Extension Builder and Creative Cloud 2014
and carried out the PlayerDebugMode registry entry but my debugging still doesn't work.
If anybody has any ideas I'd be very grateful. My HTML5 and JS headache just doesn't need another problem.

Thanks for the reply. I was following along with the video "Building and debugging HTML5 Extensions for Adobe Creative Cloud products" - doing things exactly as in the video (except I choose PS instead of PP. When I right click on my Project name in the Script Explorer in Eclipse and then select 'Debug As' and select PS - PS runs but my extension does not appear in the Windows - > Extensions list.
As I said I have added the PlayerDebugMode registry entry but my extension still doesn't appear in the PS list of Extensions.

JVM crash when using debug mode in eclipse

Hi,
I get a SIGSEGV every time I use debug mode in Eclipse. Sometimes after a few breakpoints, sometimes when I start the debug view.
Have Eclipse helios and JRE 6.0_21-b06 but have also tried 1.6.0_03-b05 with same result.

get a SIGSEGV every time I use debug mode in EclipseSo if you create a hello world program and then debug it, it crashes?
If yes then the causes would be
1. The VM(s) binaries are corrupted. Plural as it depends on how you run Eclipse.
2. Something else installed on your system at the OS level (or at least always running) is corrupt or is corrupting the OS.
3. A hardware failure.

I compiled my C program with :

In the debug window in eclipse i have created a new config. under remote java application. I have set the connect tab = myproject.
Connection type = Standard(socket attach) and connection properties: host = localhost , port=8888.
Any help?

It looks like you are doing basically the same thing as we are doing, and it seems to work for us. Do you see a message from the JVM that says:
Listening for transport dt_socket at address: 8888
The one strange thing that we are seeing is if we throw an exception in Java and clear it in C++ (using ExceptionClear) the subsequent entry into the eclipse debug session behaves very strange.
Anyway, here is what we are doing:

Well well, i say, i have not heard of any program you can use to debug your jsp. The only method i used is, placing numerous "System.out.println" before/in/after every loops, conditions and those statements that yields a result.

You can debug JSPs and Servlets in JDeveloper locally in the IDE itself, or remotely.
To debug locally within JDeveloper, simply place breakpoints anywhere in the source code and choose Run | Debug from the main menu. The JSP is run using Oracle's Web-to-Go server.
Remote debugging requires a little more setup. See the online help for more information.

Can't debug in FB3

Hi,
I installed FB3 3.0.1 plugin into Eclipse (Europe).
I can run the application in FB3, but can't debug - get Error
404 "Requested resource is not available".
I added argument "-debug=true" to Flex compiler, but still
have a problem.
Running in IE6 in WinXP.
FB3 was supposed to install Debug version of Flash ActiveX
plugin, it shows 9,0,115,0
(I assume it's Debug version).
Please help.

Download and install the latest debug version of FL player.
